The Destruction of Batana

The Destruction of Batana
FALCONS

The plane is moving fast. We know Zenzen will be catching up soon. I just put on my soldier uniform.

“Jora, we have to return to the City of Trench.” I looked towards him. I actually have a million questions for him. It's just that this isn't the right time.

“No, Lian. We have to head to Bandai Besi City.” Jora dodges.

Eh? Did he just say he went to the Blacksmith City?

Instantly my face changed. “What do you mean?” I asked in a soft voice.

Jora breathed a moment. Staring sharply at me. “If we go back to the Trench City, we will all just get caught by Zenzen. It was the same as going into the tiger cage. Right now we have to prioritize our goals, Lian. Remember that! We won't be able to get rid of all these problems if we don't stop the Border Guard Robots. Think it over!”

I shook my head slowly. Is he really the Jora I know?

“Then get me off this plane, Jora!” I obviously rejected every sentence. “I won't choose the same path as you. I won't leave my friends no matter what!”

I squeezed my fingers. This conversation really made me very emotional. “Jora, just so you know, I have a plan that I've been putting together for three days. If this keeps up you'll just screw it all up.”

Jora stepped closer to me. His face looks upset. “Lian, our goal is already stretched in plain sight. It would be a waste if you came back to save them. Besides don't you see, they're just losers of Keios City. Marko is an unrecognized student, Bundara and Vero are ex-convicts,”

“ENOUGH!” I screamed in a loud voice. Make one of the soldiers point a gun at me.

Jora told him to leave us both. The soldier nodded. Left us.

I looked at Jora with anger. “Hei, Jora! No kidding! You said they were losers? Though we've traveled this far together, haven't you seen how good they are? They are the best people I have ever known. You don't even know anything about them. Ah, right too... Didn't you just betray us? So, why do I have a long conversation with you.”

Jora clenched her jaw. “You alone? You betrayed them yourself, didn't you? You never told them anything. You never told them about your past completely. You never once talked to them about anything! Look at! Now they're all caught because you didn't tell me anything about the bandits! You're always worried about yourself!” Jora's sentence sounded messy.

The cabin was silent for a moment. Leave the plane engine that whizzed slowly. I'm down.

“You are right. But, I'm not doing this of my own accord, Jora. Well, since you're so curious, I'll tell you one little secret of mine.” I looked at him with a cold look. “I have no memory of the past about you. There is a device embedded in my body. The device blocked my memory. I don't even know if I met Zenzen when I was six. I don't even know where I was born. I don't know if I ever visited the base where my mother turned on the RP-2. I intend to tell you everything later. Because I believe in you. But, you... You just broke my trust, Jora. Is this more than enough to explain? So let me save them. Because they are precious to me. They are my family.”

Jora gulps. His eyes look teary. “Lantas what about me? You're just gonna leave me?  Do you still think I'm not part of the team? I've always held back my resentment whenever you wouldn't let me help you. I consider you to be a meaningful friend. I'm trying to protect you the way you protected me. Yes, you did forget it, but I will never forget my past. I won't forget the words you said back then. That sentence makes me have a reason to live in this world, Lian.” Jora wiped the end of her eyes.

“Jora, know... The reason I didn't let you help me, is because you are the most precious person to me. I've been thinking of you as a team for two years. The day you visited me in prison. Shouldn't all of this not be expressed in words?” I smiled thinly.

Jora closed her mouth. Sitting on the passenger seat. Regretting all the words he said to me. “I'm really sorry, Lian. Me, I don't know what to do? I just wanted to protect you. I did all this to protect you. But, but I was in Zenzen's shackles. I was so scared at the time. I'm the one who's wrong here. If I had told you who I really was, maybe, maybe none of this would end like this.” Jora sobbing. Rubbed his teary cheeks.

I patted her shoulder. Nadaku. At least he had a reason to do all this to us. That's more than enough to explain everything. Jora must have had a more painful life than me. He remembered all the tragedies of the past. Not like I've forgotten everything.

“Hey, this is not the end of our journey, Jora. As long as you still entrust this task completely to me, I believe we will definitely achieve our goals. So, are you still entrusting everything to me?”

Jora looked at me. Nodding slowly. “Will you forgive me, Lian? And do you still consider me part of the Falcon?”

I nodded firmly while smiling widely. “Of course I forgive you. Aren't we telling each other to forgive each other?”

Jora moved from her seat. Headed to the steering room. He told the pilot to turn around. He also divided the army into two groups. Group one will stop Zenzen for a while, while group two will follow us back to the Ditch City. The pilot nodded, quickly turning the wheel. Back to the City of Trench.

“I will definitely save them. No matter what danger will come in the way later.” I said in a soft voice.

As I expected, it seems like Zenzen has already contacted all the bandits in the Trench City if I am to come. Several small jet-black planes fired guns at us. Our aircraft had to manoeuvre to avoid bullets and other explosions. Banging after bangs sounded. The sky was filled with fireworks. Some planes have fallen. Free fall. It exploded down there.

A fierce fight is inevitable. Baku continues to happen. Black smoke was everywhere. Like a sky covered in black paint. That's how I describe our current condition. Our planes swooped sharply many times. Fortunately, the seat belt kept my body from being thrown.

“Nona Jora! We can't break through their defenses. Too risky to keep going!” Shouted the pilot.

“Continue holding! We have no other way!” Jora answered the pilot's call was no less loud.

I clenched my jaw. Actually I could have used my current strength, but I would still use it if I had arrived at the Trench City.

“Jora, can we fly a little lower and have your troops lure them towards us? I have one plan to face them.”

“Eh, are you sure?” Jora asked to make sure.

I nodded firmly. Jora hurriedly ordered the pilot. Command approved.

I'm heading towards the back of the plane. Take one of the weapons. Tied my body with a rope.

“Lian, what are you doing?” Ask Jora in a loud voice.

I have a little secret. One of those secrets is my ability to make waves that can interfere with engine performance. I trained this power while in the room. Trained secretly. Oh! I'll tell you later! Right now I have to face the pursuit of bandits out there.

I pushed the door button. Within seconds the plane door opened. Thanks to the rope I put on my body, I didn't fall when the wind pulled me out.

I took my head out. Waving at the bandits.

“HEY! I'M YOUR TARGET, RIGHT?” I said in a loud voice. I hope the bandits hear.

For a moment, the entire bandit chased me. Like a crowd of crows trying to catch their prey. I poured my power on the weapon I was holding. I don't really know if this will work or not. But I would be even more frustrated if I didn't try this.

I was concentrating. Jora even took hold of the rope that was tied to my body. Afraid I might fall suddenly. A bluish light enveloped the rifle. When I felt the scale of the force I was about to fire was large, I pressed the trigger.

THE BUSH!

A bullet with a bluish-colored wave shot out quickly like an arrow. The waves widened and hit the planes. The planes stopped. The black plane's turbo-turbo faltered. One by one they fall. It exploded as soon as it hit the ground. This way we can fly quietly.

Jora exclaimed stifled. I rubbed my forehead. It took me a while to recover my strength. The troublesome thing about this power is its use. Every time I use it on a large scale, my body will feel weak. I closed the plane door.

“Hey, Buddy! What the fuck was that?” Ask the soldier on the plane.

I sat on the chair. Gesturing me if I need a break.

“Lian, that was great! How do you do it?” Jora rounded her eyes.

“As you said earlier, Jora. All this idling we'll talk about later. We should hurry to the Keios City airport and take them away from there. But before that, can you get something out of my neck?” I pointed at the back of my neck.

“Eh?” Jora raised both eyebrows. Requesting explanation.

“It looks like Zenzen planted something inside my neck. Most likely the tool is a tracker. Actually, I could've turned this tracker off while I was in the room. But if I do I will be instantly discovered that I have other powers. And most importantly, the three of them would be in danger. I've now turned off the tracker. You just need to take out the tool. It's disturbing to me. Especially when I look.”

Jora told her soldiers to take the medical box. Hurry up to anesthetize the back of my neck. Although it didn't hurt, I knew that the tracker had just been pulled out. It feels a lot better.

We're approaching the City of Trench. But the bandits are waiting for our arrival. They were guarding along the fortress. It was likely that the city of trenches had long been overrun by them. I did not see any residents there who dared to oppose or try to fight the bandits. Zenzen must have instilled fear in their hearts. Make them all submit and can only surrender.

We started shooting at the bandits who were on guard. They still have the remaining fighter aircraft. But I cannot use my current strength. My last strength will be used when I arrive at their headquarters.

“Jora, get your troops to distract them. In the meantime we'll land at their headquarters.”

Jora nodded. Give orders to the entire fleet.

We continued to approach their headquarters carefully. Avoiding any missiles that shot towards our aircraft. Fortunately our pilot was very perceptive and professionally dodged attack after attack.he was probably the best pilot appointed to carry Jora safely.

I told the pilot to land us right above the base.

“Hei! That's very risky! There are hundreds of bandits ready to catch you.” Deny the pilot.

“Just calm down, I still have strength left. I plan to control their entire base using my powers. Inside the base are automatic weapons used for intruders. I plan to hack those weapons against the remaining bandits. By the time I was in there I had already marked the parts I was about to pass. You just have to shoot the bandits who are outside the headquarters.”

“Alright, I trust you.” The pilot shouted while nodding.

“Jora, are there any troops left?” This time I asked Jora.

Jora nodded while looking at the panel that was inside the plane. His eyes moved following every piece of information the panel gave him. “There are still about eighty people. But that includes thirty-three pilots. So the remaining soldiers there are only forty-seven people.”

“What's wrong, that's more than enough. Order them to escort us inside headquarters.”

“Good!” Jora nodded firmly. Give orders immediately.

As soon as they arrived at their base, we rushed down from the plane using a rope.of course I used protective clothing along with a helmet. They could have caught me as soon as they saw my face. A crowd of bandits fired bullets at us. Gunfights began to fill the field. The atmosphere feels very tense. I had to dodge the bullet that was speeding towards me. One or two almost hit my body. I threw smoke bombs. At least this might surprise them a little.

I rushed to take advantage of this opportunity along with several other soldiers to break into their headquarters. While other soldiers I assigned to overcome the bandits out there. As soon as I touched the headquarters, I seemed to see a three-dimensional projection of the giant building. The structure of the building, every security system, surveillance cameras, rooms, and weapons are embedded in the building. The headquarters gate is open.
