Chap. 89: Reassemble

Back to Black Rain's fight in Kyoto. Two hours had passed since Astaroth called Assassin who was in the other city. Their fight to date has not shown it will soon end even though from both camps it is exhausted.

Especially Oita-san and Astaroth who fought for two hours over Kyoto city. Sell and buy attacks occur between the two of them without stopping which makes the night of the city of Kyoto at that time as if there was a lot of lightning.

"Your leader is against my leader. Astaroth against Murasaki Oita. They've been there for about two hours and it still seems like there's no stopping word for them."

Silence attacked the two of them after that. But suddenly as the two of them were seriously looking up, the cube made by Ishikawa-san slowly disappeared and then disappeared completely.

Satou Iraya PoV's

This two-on-one battle is still ongoing until now. I don't know what made Hasuki-san this strong, but all I know was that she was a spoiled child. And now it ends up being my enemy.

Hasuki-san spouted fire through her hands towards me, but I was still able to split it in half and none of her attacks hit me.

He also tried to trap my feet with the power of his land. But it was fortunate that there was Herlin who prevented that from happening with his abilities. I who did not waste it immediately shot towards Hasuki-san.

He quickly made an ice blade that he held and used to fend off my attacks. We both tried to corner each other, but our strength was equal so that still no one gave up. While fighting like that, I took Hasuki-san to talk.

"Why did you join them, Hasuki-san?! What do they offer you?!"

"They offered me strength! They said if I had the power then I would be able to get close to you."

"Huh?! You don't need strength to get close to me."

"Don't trick me! You're against me because I'm weak, right?! That's why you're closer to Herlin-chan than I am, right?!"

"Who said that?! I even saved you on that roof. It's all because I want to make us friends again."

"Whisper! You lied! Don't talk to me anymore, you liar!"

The debate between me and Hasuki-san was quick and made us stronger and push each other's weapons.

Realizing that the current way would not work, Hasuki-san released the grip of her right hand and re-directed a burst of fire at my face from a very close distance.

Luckily I was still able to jump back and avoid it, but without a pause Hasuki-san instantly made many sharp ice spikes that were on it.

Herlin who from earlier prepared behind me to do his job well. He restrained Hasuki-san's movements so that I who was still in the air could land well and approach towards Herlin.

Hasuki-san then undoes her ice thorns and destroys them before they are launched at the both of us. He then looked at us with an angry look and started talking.

"I hate you both. I thought I could at least get into your friendship, but I was wrong. I'm not even considered by you guys."

When Herlin wanted to speak, his words were instantly cut off by him. Hasuki-san seemed to not want to hear Herlin's voice anymore.

"Don't talk to me again. It seems that I was wrong in using this power, I don't need to get into your relationship. I just need to destroy it, along with the person!"

It featured a grin I had never seen before. An expression filled with feelings of resentment and anger, it was all in Hasuki-san's face at the moment.

Hasuki-san looked towards the sky as if she was looking at something strange there. Herlin and I would not want to see what she saw. But we only saw two small glowing dots.

"That's Oita-san," Herlin interrupted answering my question.

"Oita-san?!"

"Yes, he is fighting the leader of the Assassins. If it's not wrong, it's Astaroth."

I don't know why Hasuki-san was so interested in the fight that the two of them ignored us in front of him, but this was a good opportunity to attack him. But suddenly Hasuki-san says something.

"We continue our fight later, I have to go."

"Wait on! Oh!"

He suddenly disappeared. I don't understand what he's thinking but it looks like it's a good thing. I can check the other situation now.

Herlin and I went to another place. The first place we went was where Mei-senpai and Nimis fought. The conditions are very chaotic, the smell of charred and ash dominates around here. There were still some burning objects and the streets were also badly destroyed.

"Wouldn't you rather save your friend than fight me?"

On the one hand, what Nimis said was true, but on the other hand, I could not believe what he would do. I looked towards Herlin and it seemed like Herlin was more in agreement with what Nimis said.

"We prioritize Mei-senpai first, we take care of her later. After all he's too weak to attack us secretly."

I looked back at Mei-senpai and thought about what I could do for her. And I remember that if I could heal myself with Cecilia's ability, it should be used for someone else. But I asked Cecilia first to confirm it.

"Can I heal others with your aura?"

I closed my eyes and concentrated for a while. All I had to do was channel a warm aura into my hand and then channel it out to others through mine.

Herlin and I were both surprised by my success in healing Mei-senpai, but the one who was most surprised was Nimis. He still could not believe that Subject C in my body could cooperate with humans.

After awakening, Mei-senpai could not immediately stand up because her body was still limp. So I allowed Herlin to help Mei-senpai so that she could rest on the side of the road.

And after doing that, I approached Nimis. I showed gestures like asking him, he who does not understand anything I mean anything then asked.

"Why hands?"

"Where are your hands, I'll heal you."

"Eh? What?!"

Cecilia, Tetsu, and Herlin who heard me talk like that immediately shouted simultaneously which made me cover my ears.

"What do you mean by healing him?!" ask Cecilia.

"You're a fool, aren't you?!" herlin.

"He's the enemy! The enemy!" shouting Tetsu.

I actually understand why they were shocked like that. I want to heal my own opponent, only a fool would do it. But my feeling is that I can't just leave him.

"I understand, I understand. Don't scream like that. I didn't treat him until he was fully healed, just major injuries."

"But, still …!!"

"It's okay, I know I'm stupid. But let me do what I want" I said.

They all did not answer directly. A pause of silence was created before Herlin finally spoke something.

Although Ishikawa-san's tone was still relaxed, but her appearance said something else. Just like the others, he also looked like he had been beaten all out and the culprit seemed to be next to him.

"Ishikawa-san, why are you with her?" I asked while pointing towards Ardenter.

It seemed like for now there was no enemy word between Assassin and Black Rain. They were all currently gathering like ordinary acquaintances.

I also did not forget to heal the injured Ishikawa-san as well as Ardenter. At first Ardenter refused and was stubborn as usual, but after being convinced by Nimis he finally softened and wanted to be treated by me.
