Chap. 29: Subject C Capture Operation

In a white room. This room looks like a room because it has a one-person bed at the end of the room and has a table with a lot of paper splattered on it.

Other than this simple room, there was someone who was asleep on his desk like exhausted after doing something. A person with a slightly wrinkled face and gray hair that has emerged from the fibers of his hair.

"He?!"

Suddenly a knock on the door from outside the room surprised and woke the man who was at the top of his sleep. He raised his head slowly which was still not fully conscious.

It was only at the sound of the second knock, he was fully aware because he thought the sound was starting to interfere. He then stood up and opened the door to meet the person who knocked on the door.

"What's wrong?"

"Subject C has been found, sir."

Upon hearing those words, his drowsiness instantly disappeared and his face became refreshed. A thin grin was created on his face and then he immediately took out the lab coat hanging behind the door.

"Immediately track down the person who is chasing him. We're going to catch Subject C and its host. Also make sure you catch him alive."

"Good, sir!"

*Three Months ago*

A man walks outside his mansion and enters a black sedan. The car door was opened by one of his male servants.

After entering he looked out the car window, looking at the luxurious beige house inside which was celebrating a party. The man just smiled a little seeing his house used by his son having fun with his friends.

"I hope you've had enough fun, Chifu."

After speaking like that, the car that the man was riding in then moved to leave his mansion.

The journey that he did not briefly pass by his car before he finally reached the front of the building area. The security is quite strict against those who enter. But for the man, the guards only needed to see his face before he was finally allowed in.

An area of the building with a shape that is not too high but wide. Rather than being called an office, this place is more suitable to be called a laboratory.

After going inside, the man was greeted by some passing workers as if giving him some respect. The man then took the white lab coat hanging on the coat hanger and put it on.

Other than him, many people with other lab coats were doing all sorts of things.

The man then walked through a hallway of the all-white room. As he walked past him, he looked beside him and saw a room with a large bulletproof glass inside which could clearly be seen the contents.

People in white lab coats were examining glass tubes containing naked humans in the sleeping water who were somehow still alive.

The man smiled and commented on the things he was actually working on together with one of his 'friends'.

"Your sacrifice will pay off soon" he murmured.

After passing through the place full of glass tubes, the man then entered a room that looks like a meeting room because there are many tables for where someone listens to the presentation person in front.

And there were five people there who seemed to have been waiting for his arrival from earlier.

"Welcome, I thank you for being willing to bother coming here" the man opened the conversation.

But no one seemed interested in the stale bases the man spoke. Everything seemed to be indifferent and even more so the current time was almost past midnight.

"Quickly miss the bases and explain why we are all told to come to a place like this. It's late and I want to go to bed soon" said one of them.

"Ahahaha ..sorry-sorry, I forgot that you guys are the ones who don't like to talk and prefer life-threatening fights like fools."

"What did you say?!"

"But listen to me carefully. There's news that might catch the attention of all of you."

"Is that important to us?"

The man grinned in silence. "Have you ever heard the news about the attack on a strange creature that attacked the school?"

"Of course we heard, it was just a normal The Beast attack in general, right?"

"I thought so at first too. But then I saw firsthand the carcasses of the dead The Beasts, they were the kind that never came out of the nest ...."

They all fell silent listening to the man's explanation. While the man who had already seen them was all serious, then continued his explanation.

The man then looked around to find the right person for the mission this time and finally found him.

The man called out to a woman who was sitting in the very back row of the others. He has light purple hair with messy hair that he pigtails in the style of a ponytail. In addition, he also carried a Katana which he tied around his left waist.

"I want you to investigate. Investigate who controls the creature and also find out where Subject C is."

When the two of them had agreed, suddenly there was someone who interrupted their conversation. A man with white hair who wears a black leather jacket and pants.

After the meeting was over, the five people then left this meeting room, except for Nimis.

As he wanted to get out, he was suddenly detained by the man because he still wanted to talk about something. The man then whispered something to Nimis who was then approved by him.

"alright. Don't forget to pay me more for this. Because this will be a little troublesome."

"Is there any more? If there's none, I want to go home."

"By the way you're only five here? Where are the other two?"

After giving his answer, Nimis then left this room leaving the man alone in the meeting room.

Ardenter then begins his investigation to find the Beast controllers who attacked Keisatsu School. But unfortunately the search conducted by Ardenter, not as easy as he imagined.

First he went to the school and checked if there was anything strange there. Everything was going as normal as school in general, the rumors about the Beast controllers were also not there at all because no one was aware of it.

For several days, he tried to wait for the students to come home from school and look for suspicious faces or not. But everything is normal, completely normal and nothing strange at all.

Ardenter also sometimes sees Hasuki Chifu, the son of the man who told him to do this mission. He came home with his friends and there was no face of trauma or anything that happened to him even though it was only three months ago.

"So he's Hasuki Chifu" murmured Ardenter.

However, he did not find any suspicious people around him. Everything looks familiar and Hasuki Chifu is also good friends with almost everyone at school, which further complicates Ardenter's mission.

Since it was felt that the usual investigation had found no results, he tried a second way. It is by recognizing the aura of the students of the school.

Ardenter knew very well the difference between an ordinary human being and an Exception. Mana capacity and aura control can also be clearly felt, at least as fellow Exception of course they know each other.

As usual he waited as the students had started to come out of the front gate of the school and this time he started to identify their auras. After a while of screening people, his way succeeded when he sensed an aura greater than the others.

Ardenter then tried to follow him and hoped to capture the owner of the huge aura. He followed by jumping from one roof to the other until he finally saw two students who he immediately approached.

Ardenter grabbed the shoulder of one of the female disciples who instantly came to a realization when his shoulder was touched.
