Chap. 23: Small Problems Before a Big Disaster

"Huh?! What is—"

When I opened my eyes, I did not know that I was in the hallway in front of my class. I don't know what happened until I got here, but the atmosphere here is really quiet.

I checked the plaque above the entrance to see if I was in the right class and I was right. After confirming the truth, I entered the classroom.

"Ap—! What happened here …?"

The class was filled with blood spots that almost covered the entire section of the class. My classmates have all been killed for whatever reason. I went inside again to see if this was the truth or not.

At the back of the class, I found the bodies of Kudou and Hira who were already drenched in blood. I approached them and tried to wake them up.

"Oi! You two! Wake up! What the hell is going on here?!"

But free, they are both no longer alive. During those moments of anger and confusion, I heard a growling sound behind my body. I turned around and saw something I didn't expect.

The Inuijin that I should have defeated were suddenly at school and killed everyone in the class. I also heard heavy and loud footsteps as he stepped closer here. I then opened my eyes again and while checking around, I realized that I was in my room with my mother waking me up. It turned out that just now was just a dream.

The four of us walked together until the front of the school gate. And in front of the school gate, there were some people who blocked us from entering.

They numbered five. Everything looked like delinquents and seemed to be from the 12th grade due to my older stature.

I invite my friends to go to school and ignore these people I don't know.

But, the person called Boss tried to punch me in the face which I could still avoid easily. I gave a sharp look to him. I didn't know this guy and I never saw him. What's the problem with me?

"What do you want?"

"You better come with us, or your friends will be in trouble" he said, pointing to Kudou, Hira, and Herlin.

"All right." I immediately agreed without hesitation when they invited me.

"Iraya, are you sure?" ask Kudou.

"It's okay, you guys go first, I still have business here."

"But—"

Herlin held onto Kudou's shoulder as well as cut off his words. He tries to convince Kudou that everything will be fine. Herlin also looked towards Hira who understood his meaning. Then they all left the place and went inside the school building.

After they left, the delinquent called the boss let out a grin.

"Good, now follow us."

They took me to a barn behind the school. The atmosphere here is very quiet and there are no surveillance cameras, suitable for those who want to fight or something.

"May I ask you, what exactly is your business with me? I don't even know you."

"You …. Are you the one who's been daring to mess with my Hasuki-chan?" he said with annoyance.

Apparently so. The rumors had already spread all the way to the upper classes. Unknowingly the tip of my lips lifted by itself. That rubbish rumor makes me want to laugh.

Meanwhile, Kudou, Hira, and Herlin had just arrived at the front door of the classroom. They were both worried about what was happening with Iraya. While Herlin looked unconcerned with him and immediately sat down in his place.

"Kudou, how is this?" asked Hira who was walking towards her seat.

"Well, why is it like this?"

Suddenly a student rushed into the classroom. He opened the door and then shouted to all the children in the classroom.

"Listen here all! Satou Iraya is dealing with a 12th class delinquent!" say the boy.

After the sudden announcement from that student, the classroom atmosphere instantly turned bustling. Many children in the class who relate this incident with the rumors that have recently circulated. Hasuki who heard him suddenly smiled as her friend realized.

"Chifu-san, is there something funny?"

"No …."

He then stood up and walked out of the classroom as the other children were boisterous. Without Hasuki-san noticing, Herlin secretly watched her out of the classroom and wanted to do something about it.

"Nee .. Hira, how about we ask the new kid? He looks close to Iraya."

The two of them then intended to ask this matter to Herlin. But when the two of them looked at Herlin's seat, they could not find him.

"He's gone" said the two of them.

Herlin leaves the classroom and is currently on the roof of the school building to find where Iraya would fight. He was very sure they would fight. The strong wind made Herlin's hair flutter. He looked around the school area, but found nothing.

As Herlin wanted to go down to search from below, he faintly heard the boisterous voice of the female from below. At first he did not care, but what made him curious was that there was one woman who looked scared. They went to an empty suburb.

Herlin then followed the group of students to the empty school area.

Meanwhile in the school warehouse area, Iraya still had not started her fight with those five people. They are still talking relaxed.

The boss clenched his hand and hit his own palm as a sign that he was ready to fight. The other four people were also prepared to help the Boss.

I smiled because of that. Then I caught the punch of one of them with my left hand and another with my right. I held it tightly so they couldn't come off easily.

I also sensed that someone wanted to attack me from behind and managed to avoid it. Simultaneously I also kicked his crotch using a heel that rendered him helpless.

Another wanted to attack me directly from the front but I threw the person I was holding with my left hand and hit him which made them fall. The person I was holding with my right hand while trying to let go of his hand, I then also kicked his crotch and made him kneel and held his crotch which I had kicked.

The Boss who watched him was silent when he saw his friends being defeated. His face looked annoyed as if it wanted to kill me. I then put on a proud face to him.

The woman carrying the scissors then approached Herlin and lifted his collar. He threatened Herlin by pointing scissors at his neck.

"Are you still ignoring me?!"

Herlin gave a sharp look to the woman who threatened him. It seemed to challenge him to stab Herlin in the neck if he dared. But the woman realized that she was dealing with the wrong person, she let go of her grip and took her friends away from there.

"Me-They left?"

After successfully driving them away, Herlin glanced slightly at the girl and then left. He felt that he had done what he had to do and there was nothing else he needed to do here. But suddenly he was caught by it.

The girl lowered her head as a sign of her gratitude for helping her. But Herlin only replied with cold words.

"You better get back to class soon, the first lesson is about to begin."

"Control …. Na-my name is Kuromichi! Thanks again for helping me!"

He smiled in silence watching his helper leave just like that. He promised himself that he would repay his kindness.

I who was intending to return to class suddenly met with Herlin on the way. I didn't know where he was going, but I went straight to him and greeted him.

"Herlin?! What are you doing outside of class?"
