The Crisis World XX
Chap. 134: The Battle of Martialism

Oukami Yuu PoV's

Arisu and the others have left here. I'm going to hand over the city's rescue mission to them. The condition of Nagoya city became even more chaotic than I expected and this was the result of someone— most likely one of the Assassins.

But we put that aside first, another Assassin is now right in front of me. Towering nearly 3 meters tall and his body that had almost no fat, muscle was the entire body that he had at the moment.

Iraya had mentioned his name. Baram, if not wrong. I've heard it even though it's a little vague. He was one of the Assassins who cooperated with Astaroth and Ayakashi Corp.

But from the rumors I heard, Astaroth was dead and their group disbanded. Even the two of them— Nimis and Ardenter, who were currently on guard at the dome joined Black Rain.

Doing an attack of this magnitude after losing their chairman looks like .... I don't know, a desperate attack mixed with a bit of revenge? They should have gone away for a while to recover his strength.

They seem to have their own thoughts. So I can't judge it.

"You ...." He opened his mouth.

"??"

Stop second-guessing, Yuu. The opponent in front of you is what matters now. I had received his attack and I could feel that he was a strong and genius. He could perfectly dispel his existence and attack suddenly.

"... What's yourname?"

He asked my name. I don't know what the purpose is but it doesn't seem like it's something that needs to be hidden. "My name is Oukami Yuu. Your name is Baram, right? Before the fight, I have a question for you."

"Yu Yuu Oukami? All right, I've remembered it. What do you want to ask, Oukami Yuu?"

"Why rush?"

"What?"

"I heard that your leader had just died, but why are you in such a hurry to strike again? Are you all that desperate? Or maybe you hold a grudge against us? The Kuni no Hashira organization?"

He was silent for a moment. Looks like my question about it is pretty thorough. Because I'm sure he's smart enough to devise a strategy, but he's into a plan that looks like a half-baked plan.

"There was one mistake in your statement just now."

"What?"

"Our boss isn't dead yet."

My eyes widened. It is impossible for the information spread by Aoda-san to be fake, let alone that he is the type of person who checks the truth first before informing us.

"Are you playing me right now? There's no way Chairman Aoda is giving us fake news."

"He's not wrong, but on the one hand a little wrong. I'm not going to tell you how, but what I'm saying right now is the truth."

I don't believe it. No, I was confused which one I should trust. Chairman Aoda of course can not lie, I know his nature that never jokes when giving information of that magnitude. Even so ....

I glanced towards Baram's eyes. If what he said was the truth, then that would be a new problem for us. White Cloud who had been more relaxed when he heard the news of Astaroth's death, if he knew this.

But we put aside the thing that is still uncertain. He did not explain about the attack. "But still it doesn't answer my question."

"Just suppose what you say is the truth, but I don't think Astaroth will make such a hasty decision. Moreover, you are not in your best condition after fighting in Kyoto at that time. That's why I consider this attack odd" I continued.

He turned back and looked at the floor. I didn't know he was stringing up a new story or realizing his mistake— Or it could have been dust going into his eyes all of a sudden. No, forget my last words.

I'm still waiting for a reply. At the cold of the night and the darkness of the office room which is only illuminated by the moonlight. This silence made the world slow down.

"I think you're right. It's a rushed plan." Finally he spoke again. I thought he realized it. "If you knew that, why are you still on this plan? What exactly is Astaroth's plan and what's inside your head?" my many.

"It seems ... he wants to kill us all in this plan."

"What?!"

"This plan is in a hurry, not even the Boss himself goes into it. He said he wanted to recover his energy from the fight in Kyoto. So I have no other guess than he tried to kill us all in this plan."

I don't know why I'm upset to hear it. Even though he's my enemy, but this hot feeling in my heart is overflowing. He knew it was a suicide plot, but he followed it obediently.

"Then why?! Why are you following him?! Do you want to die?!"

"Of course not."

"Keep why?!"

"I am a martial artist, in other words I am a knight of this age. I already have nothing I want to protect anymore other than the Boss and the others, so I keep following him. And if I die because of this plan, it means it's my destiny to die here. I don't regret my choice."

"Damn it, you pissed me off! Are you really stupid, huh?"

"Stupid? I don't think you understand. It is my pride to be of use to my comrades, I am the bodyguard of the Boss. And of course I'm ready to die for him."

"Pride? Self-worth? That's all bullshit! If you want to live, avoid an impossible fight. To hell with your pride! Humans live by avoiding danger, is it so simple that it's so hard for you to understand, huh?!"

"That's what sets you apart from me, you have absolutely no idea what honor and pride are to be a knight."

"I think I should teach you through my techniques, huh?"

"If I want to come back alive, then all I have to do first is defeat you. And that's what I'm gonna do."

We both seem to have nothing in common. Her stubbornness somehow reminded me of her— Suddenly Iraya's annoying face appeared in my head. I removed the irritating face from my mind and refocused it.

If it's not wrong, he's an empty-handed fighter, huh? Then I'll adjust it. My artificial aura shield slowly disappeared and turned into small particles that also disappeared. I focused my aura and formed a new weapon.

"Hmm?" He seemed confused as to what I was going to do.

The aura glittered in my hand and turned into a pair of brass knuckles. Not only that I have created, armless armor that protects my body, then in the legs also does not miss, and lastly on the second part of my arms— separated with clothes.

Once everything is ready, I put the horses to attack. "I'm ready!"

"If you think it can make you win over me, then you're wrong."

"...."

"...."

We both disappeared from where our footing stood— rather moved quickly, but it was too fast and made it look like it disappeared. Then stop when you start fighting and cause the effects of wind that blows paper and other small office items.

I tried to break through his defenses and aimed my brass knuckles at his chest, but he caught my arm and held it with one hand. "Tch!" I tried to let go but he attacked with the other hand.

The rapid but weighty movement of each blow proved that he was indeed a true martial artist. But I can still withstand all of his blows— despite being fast, but I also did not lose my focus.

This one-handed fight did not last long, Baram kicked with a vertical kick trying to aim at my chin which I could avoid by looking up and retreating slightly backwards.

In circumstances unfavorable to him, I made use of it by kicking towards his ears. But Baram could still hold it with that one free hand.

The effect of my kick seemed to be quite impactful that made Baram's grip on my arm weaken. I immediately pulled it and out of his grasp, without pause I directly aimed a punch in a row.

It can withstand and avoid them quite easily and in the last moment, retreat and the backward salto takes distance. Damnit damnit! Though his body is big, but he can move that agile.

Baram landed perfectly. He re-strengthened his horses and did not waste much time by moving straight from where he stood. I lost him a little bit but knew where he was going to attack so I formed a defense with both hands being 'X'.

"Lumayan."

I had heard him praise me when I received a crushing blow that hit both of my arms. Although it didn't have a big impact, but it pushed me and made me unbalanced.

Baram immediately shot forward and was ready to hit my open defense again. But in the final second, I created two daggers in my grasp that I immediately threw right into his head.

Triings... Triings...

He was still able to fend it off with the thickness of his skin and the resulting sound was like my splinter crashing into a lump of iron.

"I understand that you're a dirty bastard, so I'm ready for something like this to happen" he said.

"Oh, huh? Are you ready for something like this too?"

I pulled the chain of aura that I circled on both of my arms, pulling the two daggers that Baram had previously managed to fend off back against his back head.

Baram noticed that and slightly glanced back. Without looking, Baram caught the dagger and his hand, then attacked me with his own dagger.

My lips lifted when he did that. He simultaneously tried to stab my chest with those two daggers. But before the dagger hit me, the two of them turned into tiny particles and disappeared.

"??!!"

Baram was surprised by that and I instantly countered him with a kick that pointed towards his chin. The two of us were hovering on the floor at the moment and the hard kick I was doing made Baram look up and fly upwards.

He also hit the ceiling and stuck there. Without a pause, I immediately landed and jumped utilizing the momentum to hit him right on his stomach until he broke through to the fifth floor. Fortunately this radio station had eight floors, so the top floor where Arisu and the others were located was still safe.

With the five-story ceramics hollowed out, I went in there and chased after Baram who bounced here. Look to the right and left because this place is full of dust ruins. My eyes widened when from behind the dust, a fist popped into my cheek, making me bounce far away and even penetrate this radio station.

God fucking. My body's reflexes aren't fast enough from that distance. While outside, I saw a scene at the main door of the radio station. If not mistaken, one of the Black Rain members made a great barrier, right? But now that it disappeared and left a small barrier that fit for one person, I also could not see clearly what was inside.

"What's that?"

"See where you are?!"

"Damn!"

Baram hit me again, but this time I was better prepared and able to hold him back. Even so, the effect of the blow still made me who was floating in the air bounce further behind— even into the next office building.

Enough already! I'm not gonna keep bouncing around somewhere! I turned myself around and tried to stand for a while on the wall, after which I again threw myself at Baram who was darting towards here.

"Heaaah !!!"

"Haaghhh !!!"

With most of the aura I was pouring on this fist of mine, I prepared to punch him back to the radio station. But it seemed like he was also thinking the same thing as me and was preparing to hit me as well.

Buuum...

We went back to boxing, our fists weren't separated until our feet hit us. The former blowout also produced a huge bang that broke every window glass on the floor of this building. The ceiling and floor are also cracked, and office tables are also pushed away like a typhoon has occurred in here.

A few seconds after the dust had disappeared, I was finally able to see clearly. A few drops of blood fell under our fists. The brass knuckles I was wearing pierced into Baram's fist right now.

"It turns out you can make me shed blood, huh? I thought you were strong enough."

"God! Do you think you'll win easy from me?!"

"No, not at all. But I'm a little sorry about your bastard nature."

"Are you so hateful of dirty tricks in a fight?"

"Yes, because it does not reflect the true nature of the knight."

"You're an Assassin but still hold such values, huh? Oh my goodness."

"And you're someone from an organization where you're supposed to protect your city, but you're fighting with dirty tricks like that."

"Hnm ...? I will use anything to win. In a fight no matter what you do, as long as you are the last one standing in the fight, then no one will ask about your fight. I'm also responsible for taking care of the lives of the people here. That's why I don't care if you call me a bastard or shit though, I'll still win!"

"Such ...."

Baram suddenly attacked me with his left fist, but I was still able to dodge by jumping backwards. He also stood up and paid no attention to the blood dripping on his knuckles.

"Then I'll be serious."

"I've been waiting since, you fucking crap."

We both re-mount the horses, I won't let him win and take more innocent lives. I'll definitely win.
