Chap. 76: Black Rain vs. Assassins

"What business do you guys come to these nights, Murasaki Oita?"

"I happen to have business with you, Astaroth." Oita-san let out a grin at the end of her sentence.

Their fight was in sight. To take back their kidnapped family, they will fight it out.

Minutes before Murasaki Oita and the others came to attack them, there was a debate among the Assassins. Between Caramel and Astaroth.

The sound of their debate echoed clearly due to the ruins of this vast and empty old church.

"Why can't I fight?! Hey, boss! Tell me why!"

"Isn't it clear? Your body is not in the best condition right now, you are still injured. Your job to make a barrier is more than enough. Your barrier is much thinner than usual, isn't it?" astaroth.

"But still! Even so—"

"Stop, Caramel."

Suddenly Nimis got into the debate of the two of them. At first he did not want to do so, but he felt that this debate was useless.

"What's? You feel sorry for me too?" ask cynical Caramel.

"Stop your vain selfishness, if the boss has said it does not mean no. You should be the one who understands the most about yourself."

"Stop lecturing me, damn it! I don't want to hear that from you."

Nimis did not say anything more, he felt that it was useless. He should have known that talking to Caramel was a waste, so now he chose to be quiet.

After feeling like he won a fight with Nimis, Caramel again tried to seduce Astaroth back to allow him to fight.

"Hey, boss!"

"Can't! Once can't stay can't!"

"If you die in vain, it will be much more troublesome for me. This is my final decision, you'll keep this barrier strong for the fight."

A loud noise occurred in front of the door of the ruins of the church, it happened due to the impact of an object that tried to damage the barrier belonging to Caramel. But even so, the impact just now was not enough to tear down an even weaker one than usual.

"They finally came. Nimis, Ardenter, Delta, you three come with me."

Without answering, they immediately stood up and prepared themselves for this fight. While Caramel was like being abandoned by them all looked annoyed and sulky.

"Caramel, you wait here and take care of Subject C's host."

"Hmmm!"

Although he actually wanted to fight, but because Astaroth forbade him and told him to wait here, Caramel would not want to have to obey. But he did not say it directly, he just threw away his face as the others walked out.

When all had gone out and left Caramel alone, he who felt lonely then walked towards the deeper church room. In that small room, there was a person sitting in a miserable state unconscious.

The person's body was pale with hair that changed to an overall green color. There were several injections in his neck. Caramel approached him with a faint smile.

He made a platform from his ability which he then made as a place to sit next to the person.

"It seems like it's just the two of us right now, Iraya."

Back in the present time, the members of Black Rain were facing off against the Assassins who were blocking them to save Iraya.

PoV Ririsaka Herlin's

Right now it seems like Oita-san is going to destroy the barrier belonging to Caramel and after that she will face their leader, Astaroth. No one else can match her except Oita-san, at least that's what I believe.

Oita-san has hit that barrier once. But there has been no change and visible damage to the barrier. As long as there's a barrier, we won't be able to attack them.

Oita-san was still speechless after the arrival of those Assassins. He seemed to be thinking about something about what would be done to this barrier.

Duaarrr…

But it turns out that I was wrong, Oita-san hit the barrier again just like before. And this time he did not do it once, but repeatedly. Using only the strength of his own body in the several hits, Oita-san was already able to make a crack on the barrier.

Kraaaan…

After several attacks, the barrier revealed a hole that made his fist penetrate the barrier made by Caramel.

From the Assassin side no one responded to Oita-san's actions, they patiently only saw Oita-san destroy the barrier belonging to their own members.

After the small hole produced by Oita-san, the crack spread towards this entire barrier. To the point where there was no longer a place where there were no cracks, the barrier was broken into pieces.

After destroying it, Oita-san looked at the fist she had used to destroy the barrier. There were no cuts or scratches there, just a small puff of smoke that occurred due to the friction between Oita-san's fist and the barrier she smashed.

"I'm sorry, for destroying it" said Oita-san.

"Hemm .. It's okay, instead I thank you because we didn't have to bother to destroy it" Astaroth replied.

Astaroth and Oita-san again shot towards each other and clashed blows in the air. So fast they moved, until a puff of smoke appeared where they were standing before and the footing was also destroyed.

No one can follow their movements as they move. But when it collided in the air, I could see it. The grin of the two clearly drawn on their faces each signifies that they are happy about this fight.

"We'll look at your current abilities, Murasaki Oita."

"Don't be surprised, Astaroth!"

They came back and fought again. That night, the night sky was filled with puffs of smoke as a result of their fight that had just begun. Their fight was balanced and there was a buying and selling attack there. They also look not serious in fighting because both of them have not yet let out their aura.

They darted very far from where we stand now and then disappeared from view. All we could see and hear were the messy lands and houses of the people that were destroyed as they passed by.

Kyoto City was now their fighting arena.

Me and the others could only see their fight from down here and then I was made aware by Ishikawa-san.

"Don't lose your focus!"

"Their leader will be taken care of by Murasaki-san! We'll take care of the ones here" Ishikawa-san said.

"Good!"

Now the position is three against three. Balanced position for each camp. I took a breath and strengthened my horses. This is my first fight without giving off any aura, I have to be careful.

Ishikawa-san and Mei-senpai were also done with their respective preparations. Meanwhile, Assassin, Nimis, Ardenter, and Delta approached us without hesitation. They seemed to be unafraid and underestimated us all.

"Murasaki Oita may be a problem, but not for the rest of the members" Nimis said.

"Let's finish them off!"

Nimis had mounted his horses and a blaze had been created in his blade. While Ardenter was ready, he rang his knuckles and relaxed the muscles around his neck. While Delta just kept quiet and walked casually towards the three of us.

"Focus, Herlin! I'll help you when you're in trouble" said Cecilia.

"I will also predict every move of the enemy roughly two seconds before the enemy does. So use that time well" Tetsu explained.

"Good."

Both camps are ready. Everyone was still silent and cautious on the movements of their respective opponents. No one wants to make mistakes at the beginning because it will hurt them.

But suddenly there was a small bird that randomly landed in the middle of them. As if to be the natural arbiter of this fight, he skipped around a little without knowing what would happen a second later.

Then the little bird flew, along with a strong gust of wind coming from Mei-senpai was released towards Nimis.

"Tch!"

Nimis swiftly split the gust of wind with his sword until it left a breeze that blew through Nimis' hair gently.

Then without pause, Nimis immediately shot towards Mei-senpai and released her Katana aiming towards her neck to give her a quick death.

But it didn't seem that easy, as Mei-senpai easily dodged Nimis' attack directly from the front. As if already knowing the plan made by Mei-senpai, Nimis immediately changed his position while in the air and then held the blunt part of the Katana blade and pointed the sharp part of the blade towards Mei-senpai.

"What?!"

"Hinokami no Chikara: Bakuretsu!"

After chanting something, Nimis' Katana let out a bright shining light and searing heat. He did so while both were still in the air so it was impossible for Mei-senpai to dodge.

"I won't let it!"

Before the light on Katana Nimis turned into an explosion, Mei-senpai first pushed her body backwards away. Their distance has now widened, even though Mei-senpai already feels that she is safe. But it turns out the estimate was wrong.

Nimis' expression was still unchanged from the previous one, as if indicating that the danger was still not avoided by Mei-senpai. And as if justifying Mei-senpai's bad premonition, Nimis then spoke something.

"If it were only that far away, my explosion would still be there."

A huge explosion was created right in front of Mei-senpai. Although from a distance of about ten meters, but the explosion was still able to reach him and approached quickly.

Mei-senpai's eyes widened when she realized that her explosive power could still reach her and quickly grabbed her. While Nimis landed perfectly on the ground and slightly walked closer towards the explosion marks he created himself.

While he was watching in silence, he was suddenly startled by a voice calling out to him from above the sky.

Nimis raised his head upwards. He then sees a female figure whom he thinks has just been burned to the ground by his explosion, but his estimation is mistaken. The figure floated in the sky, with the full moon shining brightly behind it. It flies like this without a pair of wings on its back.

"… But don't think that's enough!"

"Huh ... Why don't you make it easy?" mummified Nimis.

Nimis stood up again and mounted his horses again to face Mei-senpai now.

Meanwhile Ardenter did not wait for Ishikawa-san to make a move. He chose to attack him directly with his Physical Strength ability.

But Ishikawa-san quickly made a shield using her aura. He made a shield with a size as big as his body that he put on the ground while holding with the weight of Ishikawa-san's body.

Ardenter clasped his shield and jumped on Ishikawa-san's head. But he was already waiting for that and Ishikawa-san again made a shield over his head.

He continued to do the same until all his artificial shields covered his entire body and an area of about half a meter in front of him. Ardenter who had difficulty penetrating it then peeked at the gap of the shield that was not covered, inside which was Ishikawa-san who was kneeling relaxed while smiling at him.

"Don't hide, goddamn it!"

"I'm not hiding, this is how I fight."

Suddenly from the shield appeared sharp thorns big enough that could penetrate the human stomach until out through his back. The surprised Ardenter therefore then jumped backwards. Fortunately, he did not receive any injuries due to his carelessness.

Ishikawa-san then removes some of her shield and appears next to her face to be able to talk to Ardenter.

"Do you have any other plans, angry man?"

"Damn …."

With Ishikawa-san's way of fighting, I don't think he will get any problems fighting against Ardenter who is purely using his physique to attack.

Oita-san, Mei-senpai, and Ishikawa-san have already started the fight. While me and Delta are still silent at all have not moved from their respective places.

I couldn't predict his movements and facial expression because of his mask-covered face. He also did not put up his fighting horses, it seemed like he was the type to underestimate his opponent. This could be my chance.

"Don't attack before he starts first" said Cecilia.

He suddenly made his move after a long silence, but he instead moved around me to the right. I retaliated by also moving around it in the opposite direction so that our distance was maintained while still maintaining my horses.

Then he stopped, right where I was standing before. I am now also where he stood before. We were both very careful and were both waiting for the opponent.

Delta then made a move. He pointed towards the sword that I was holding at the moment then performed a gesture asking by tilting his head slightly. Since I thought it would not hurt to answer, I spoke.

"True, this is the sword of Iraya, the man you kidnapped. I will use this sword to take him back. Leave Iraya to me! She's mine!"

I shouted. He did not respond excessively, he just stood up as usual and behaved normally again. But I seem to have made a mistake in the election I said.

"Herlina! Avoid!"

A blaze shot out of Delta's right hand. For this attack I couldn't help it, so I chose to dodge according to Tetsu's orders.

Still haven't had a perfect stand, I was again attacked by Delta. This time he stepped on the ground using his left foot and the tremors on the ground where I was standing shook like a small earthquake. From his direction then marched the sharper lands that were getting bigger and faster approaching towards me.

"This time cannot escape. Then …."

I split the Delta's sharp ground that was approaching me even though my horses weren't ready. But for now I'm safe from his attack. He just stood up as usual after attacking me. He still underestimates me.

"Geez, fighting without that aura is absolutely impossible" I murmured.

I stood up and put my horses up again. It won't be an easy fight for me. It's not easy at all.

A fight between the two sides had taken place, all of them gaining their respective opponents. Something balanced or not. But they keep trying until the end to achieve their goals.
