Chap. 112: One Extra Person

This morning me, Herlin, Caramel, Akihito-san, Nigiyaka-san, and Mei-senpai— were all, literally, gathered at the haiiro Cafe that Ishikawa-san had not opened yet.

I could see the expression of excitement from Ishikawa-san's face that was in front of us. And when we all got together, Ishikawa-san then started the conversation with a question.

"All of you, do you know why you're all gathered so early?"

"You resigned?"

"This cafe is broke?"

"Want to borrow money?"

"Disturbing my sleeping hours?"

"Is there any good food here?"

"No, oi! Why are you so pessimistic when I talk?"

All of them except me gave an answer which was likely the reason they were all called this morning. But unfortunately, the answer is no sane—but here also no one is sane, anyway.

Ishikawa-san then looks towards me who has not given her answer. Actually I also wanted to answer with origin anyway, just because I saw Ishikawa-san's face that was like hoping and begging that I was sane made me undo it.

"W-we got a new mission?"

Her expression brightened again when I said so. "That's right, Iraya-kun! My goal of rounding you all up here is because we're about to have a new mission!" ishikawa-san said excitedly.

Ishikawa-san wiped away her gloomy tears first before finally answering Herlin's question excitedly again. "We're gonna be bodyguards!"

But about being a bodyguard, this is the first time I've had a mission like this. It seems like this will be a fun mission for me.

"Being bodyguard? Where's where?"

"The one who contacted me back then was the head of White Cloud in Nagoya. So we'll be there in about a week. But there's still something I don't understand about one of his words back then."

"Do you know what 'Rainbow Cookies' mean'?"

And on his Friday, we all got together at about 6am. Caramel and I are home, of course, together. Waking up at this hour seems to be difficult for me.

Ishikawa-san then comforted the two of us with the promise of a treaty when we reached Nagoya. And then we finally left.

In the end, we formed into two groups. Nigiyaka-san and Akihito-san said they wanted to visit somewhere, while me and the others headed to the fun places to be found here.

It seems Ishikawa-san has given up on us and our HPs all received a message with a map showing the way to the White Cloud headquarters.

'Before 12 o'clock make sure you're all gathered here. Or we lose our first mission.' That was roughly the message of despair sent by Ishikawa-san.

"Yosh." It was Caramel's first response when he saw Ishikawa-san's message and didn't seem to care much.

"Don't 'yosh' doang, do you want to lose this important mission?"

Caramel seemed to really not care about the mission this time, all he did was go around and try all the food here.

The one who called us was Mei-senpai, there was also Herlin behind her. We were both scolded by him and after apologizing, we headed to White Cloud's headquarters together.

And again after getting there, we were scolded by Ishikawa-san. I don't know why today people are scolding me so often. We entered the room of White Cloud's chairman, Mushino Aoda, who was waiting there.
