Cold, dark and felt the wind blow lightly, the rustling sound of weeds swaying slightly signifies the existence of life. I looked up at the night sky that looked darker, just decorated with full moons without stars.
Footsteps sounded slowly approaching towards me, while I reluctantly turned around for fear of the aura I recognized this time was just imagination. I continued to look at the moon with hope, saying a prayer that I had never broken. The footsteps continued to approach until they finally came to a stop right behind me, I was still trying to calm down, until a pair of burly hands hugged me from behind. The smell of vanilla mixed with mint seemed to fill my sense of smell, my tears falling down irresistibly, I prayed that this was not a dream.
"Aira," the heavy voice I longed for sounded like a heart-shaking bell. That pair of hands now turned my body. "Thank God, I finally found you."
I looked at the man I had been waiting for, his black eyes now showed a longing, his cold aura seemed well controlled, his body looked more and more towering.
"I miss you, Aira."
"Varen" I cupped my hands to his face, for I was afraid this was just my imagination. Varen grabbed both my hands and kissed them.
"Thank you for waiting for me," Varen's black eyes looked at me, he grabbed my body into his arms, I felt a light kiss land on the tip of my head.
"Is it so hard to find me?" my protest was soft as I returned his embrace.
"It was hard, but it all paid off when I saw you still faithfully waiting for me." Varen took off her arms and cupped her hands together on my cheeks, a sense of warmth radiating throughout my body.
"Warm," I said slowly. Varen wiped the still wet tears on my cheek. "Are you okay, Varen?"
Varen revealed his trademark smile, "no, I would never be fine without you by my side, Aira."
I pinched Varen's arm in full force, "Aah!" Varen grimaced as he rubbed his muscular arms, it seemed that he was pretending to be in pain.
"Why did you pinch me? did I make a mistake?" Varen was confused.
"How many women have you seduced with your sweet words?" I'm a little bit upset.
"Only one Aira, that you are one."
I stared at Varen flat, his eyes showing honesty, but I doubt, he was handsome and charismatic, his aura looked very strong now, which woman was not tempted by him?
"I swear on my life, you're the only one in my heart, now and forever."
Just as Varen finished his vow, the blue sapphire ring Varen's mother gave off a brilliant blue-purple glow, not only the ring on my ring finger shining, but also Varen's chest.
"What's going on?" I asked when the light had disappeared completely.
Varen grabbed my right hand and stuck it on his chest that was fielded. The silver silk cloth wrapped around her body felt soft on my finger, her heartbeat made my hand tremble violently, I tried to pull my hand, but Varen held it back.
"Aira, you don't have to worry about useless things." Varen looked back at me, his gaze this time looking soft. "Since the ring is pinned on your ring finger, even your heart will automatically always be bound to you, no one else and certainly I won't allow others to break our bond."
"But Vio can't sense your existence, he can't even sense the existence of the silver empire."
Varen took my hand, he led me to a wooden chair that looked old. We sat side by side under the moonlight, I looked up at his face beside me. Truly I admire the perfect creation of the Powerful One in Varen, "I even tried many things to find you, but always failed."
"Of course, because you're not the one who has to find me, but I'm the one who has to find you, Aira."
Suddenly the words of my grandmother in the lavender field flashed back in my mind, 'if she truly loves you sincerely with all her heart then she will do everything she can to find you.'
Varen turned his head towards me, his hand grabbed my long hair blown by the night wind and slipped it behind his ear.
"Thank you for finding me" I said with a sincere smile. I know for a fact that Varen has done everything in his power to find me, his rough palms proving his hard work. I have a lot of questions I want to ask him, but this time I want to enjoy being with him, the togetherness I've been waiting for.
I leaned my head against Varen's shoulder and closed my eyes, Varen grabbed my shoulder tightly, and patted it softly, giving it the calm I had longed for.
"What about your cold aura?" ask me without opening my eyes.
"The more stable it is, the more I can control it. Just like you said, the cold aura is not a curse, but rather the grace of the moon god."
I smiled, there was a feeling of relief in my heart. I used to feel tormented every time I saw Varen in pain and cold from the excruciating cold aura, but now there is warmth in every touch, I am grateful that he managed to control the cold aura and turn it into a great power.
"Thank God, I'm so happy to hear that."
"Aira," Varen called my name with a heavy voice.
I opened my eyes and looked at her face, "Yes?"
"Why did you leave immediately when you healed me? You gave the silver dragon tears and left just like that, really looking to grab me like a stranger."
My smile expanded, obviously I thought of him as a stranger because it was my first encounter with him. In fact it was my initial encounter with Varen before he found me in the rock cave.
"It's too complicated to explain, and I'm too lazy to explain" I said with a long sigh.
"Then can you explain anything else?" Varen looked at me probing.
"other things? what do you mean Varen?"
"I detected quite a number of male auras around you, Aira."
I couldn't cover my shock, how could he detect something like that? no way!
Varen pulled me until we faced each other, so close I could feel his breath.
"I will never be willing when another man touches you, much more hug and carry you."
I was stunned, how did he know that Aciel was hugging and carrying me? Guilt is in my heart.
"You belong to me, and I belong to you." Varen leaned in, "I have to give you a warning not to repeat."
Varen kept his face close, until our lips met, he managed to snatch my first kiss. I closed my eyes, swept away in Varen's gentle and careful kiss, Varen's left hand cupped my face, while her right hand hugged me.
In the moonlight, watched by the weeds and the night wind, we are dissolved in love, a love that requires waiting, requires loyalty and demands trust to produce an encounter that presents beauty and happiness.
Varen stopped the kiss, "i love you Aira."
I opened my eyes, this time Varen looked at me with a sad look. His body slowly became transparent and disappeared, leaving behind a meadow full of nothingness under the moonlight.
