26. Farewell

I looked at Varen, her hands so cold they pierced my skin. I tried to let out my light energy but could not, as if my body was now just filled with dark energy. I turned my gaze down, the silver empire was still safe in the protection of the protective layer I had made, even though the Emperor, the empress and the people were on standby, but I'm glad I cast the spell I learned from Uncle Ezio, I'm grateful that Uncle Ezio taught me so much since I was a kid, even though I didn't have the talent at the time.

"Why?"

I looked back at Varen, his eyes probing. "Why can't I use light energy? Why does dark energy seem to be overflowing in my body?"

"Same, the same thing I feel." Varen gazed towards the moon of the Gods, "only the moon of the Gods knows what will happen."

"Two blessings of the Moon of the Gods were met, the beginning of a bracing farewell. The haughty dark mingled in the rainbow, The cruel dark mingled in the cold silver." I repeat the prophecy General Drew once said. "Varen, could it mean that the darkness will merge with us? But what about farewell?"

"The dark aura has been a part of me since the stone cave ritual, if what the moon god wants to unite the forces of darkness with my body, doesn't that mean I will become a dark being? Dark creatures are dominated by terrifying dark forces, but I feel my aura painless, but it's more calming."

I continued to listen in silence, "when dark forces attempt to gain control of a being, it will lose control of itself for some time, until all of its thoughts and actions are filled with dark energy. But we are different, we do feel a lot of pain during the stone cave ritual, but today don't you also feel control over the dark forces within you?"

I nodded confirming Varen's words, I did indeed feel some control over my dark power, but as I was not used to it, I was often surprised myself by the effects of the attacks that occurred.

Suddenly the wind howled loudly, accompanying the moon God who appeared slowly. The longer the sound of the wind grew louder, like the waves in the ocean, I saw black waves from all directions, coming towards me and Varen.

"Dark creatures came out from hiding," Varen spoke softly. The Moon God appeared with its dazzling radiance, "Out!" a loud explosion separated my grasp and Varen, we bounced off in different directions. My brain started thinking, farewell to the prophecy, what does it mean?

Although it bounced but I was not injured in the least, my body and Varen were raised towards the moon of the Gods, the black aura from the black waves I had just seen began to approach the two of us, absorbed into our respective bodies. It felt full, the longer it was fuller until a huge, very deafening explosion occurred. It was as if returning the dark energy many times over towards the black waves that turned out to be a collection of millions of dark creatures! They gained dark power from the explosion of my aura and Varen, strangely again they sat down to pay their respects towards us. My body was still floating, a dark aura started to dance around me. This time inside my body felt a great rumble, it felt hot and tickling. Suddenly a very bright light came like lightning from the direction of the moon god towards me and Varen grabbed us nonstop, until I felt the aura of my lamp coming out of my body, it felt very different from before, I felt my light aura burst out, even more dominating the dark aura that had previously exploded.

I narrowed my eyes because I couldn't help but light my own aura. Now that I was in a vortex, where my light energy and dark energy were trying to blend in like a whirlwind, my rainbow aura seemed more beautiful with black in between, not just black, instead of just black, there are many new colors I've never seen before. My body felt stirred, a little nauseous but gradually the feeling became more and more imperceptible, as all the colors began to blend into a rainbow, the discomfort that existed now changed, he said, I felt my body become stronger with a bursting energy. My skin is cleaner and smoother, and oh no! My long hair has now turned silver, like the hair of the 5th empress' grandmother!

I reached out, wanting to touch my own aura. The aura I touched was now a small rainbow ball complete with black blending in it. My aura that had formed a vortex, now again broke into my body. Not stopping there, after seeping in, now my aura shimmered intensely all over my body, making me look beautifully bright.

I tried to find Varen, but to my surprise, different from me, Varen looked in pain. I saw hundreds of sharp ice raining down on his body, dark aura forming a vortex along with silver, white and blue aura, but I saw that his dark aura was still domineering. What the hell's going on?

"Varen?" I tried to call out his name while trying to fly closer. I continued to fly closer until Varen's energy vortex was just a few feet ahead of me. "Varen?" call me again, long wait but no answer. His face clearly showed that he was enduring unbearable pain.

Somehow my heart hurt, I tried to extend my right hand. I wanted to touch his energy vortex, I wanted to release him, but suddenly

"YES!" I was bouncing away as if the energy vortex was rejecting me. Not just bouncing, the vortex seemed to protect him from anything. There is an important process that should not be disturbed. I gathered all my energy, made it go out and glow all over my body. I touched my aura again, I took a little and added it to the rainbow ball that was still in my left hand, making it as big as my fist.

Suddenly the moon god gave off a lightning bolt, but now it was not two, but only one and was directed at Varen. The lightning struck Varen many times, leaving a light mark on the vortex of Varen aura, then..

I was about to fly away but didn't have time, "DDUUUUUUUUAAAAAAAR!" a terrible explosion was inevitable, miraculously I did not bounce but fell down, my aura gave me protection. I saw that Varen's energy vortex was gone, it was transformed into an aura that was now flowing all over his body, but even though hundreds of sharp ice were now invisible, I even felt an immeasurably cold chill run out from his body. His aura was dominated by dark aura, except silver, white, blue and I saw an additional purple color.

I looked around, the dark creature that had been resting on me and Varen was now disappearing without a trace. I looked down, and was surprised! The protective layer I made for the silver empire, is now gone. The entourage of the empress, the emperor and several soldiers including General Drew, flew towards us.

I looked back at Varen, "Varen!"

Varen began to respond to my call, his eyes starting to open slowly. I stared at him fixedly, but suddenly the lightning of the god moonlight struck me endlessly, I did not feel any pain this time, but my body started to turn transparent.

"Mir!"

I looked towards Varen who was now fully conscious, his blue eyeballs had now turned pitch-black, but his silver hair still looked even paler. He flew towards me quickly, but as he reached out to touch my transparent hand, a lightning bolt struck him until it bounced away.

Without despair, he flew back to me quickly. "Varen stop! Listen to my words."

His face looked mimicry as if he disagreed with my request, but he complied to stop, he quietly stood a few feet away from me. My legs are now disappearing, as if swallowed by light, the lightning still continues to strike me nonstop.

"I have fulfilled my promise, so this time you must fulfill your promise. Do you remember your promise Varen?" ask her who is now looking at me with her deep black eyes, it feels foreign but also familiar at the same time.

Varen nodded weakly, his gaze not shifting from me, now my body began to disappear to the stomach. "Create Varen soon, he will protect you and lead you to meet me again."

"Don't say stupid things! The prophecy is just bullshit!" Varen was flying at high speed trying to reach my body which was disappearing, but he was thrown away again.

My heart ached, sadness filled me. "Varen, remember to hold on. Even if the cold you have is a blessing but it will still torment you, until the silver dragon tears help you take control of it."

Now my body is starting to disappear again to the chest. "Fulfill your promise Varen, thank you for everything."

Varen flew back closer but now he stopped a few feet from me. "See you again Varen" I said with tears in my eyes. The terrible lightning struck me, I felt sucked by the bright light until my consciousness began to disappear, the last thing I heard was the scream of Varen calling my name.
