"Come home and rest, I'm tired."
I reached out, the portal was perfectly formed, Balin immediately followed me into the portal. During the teleportation, I closed my eyes so tired.
"Your Majesty, it's here."
I opened my eyes, thank God this time it seems that my portal managed to deliver me smoothly. We landed on the front page of my room, "thank you Balin."
Balin lowered his head, I nodded and stepped foot in the room.
"What is this smell?" half-conscious from exhaustion, I smelled a pretty strong scent of lavender flowers. The longer I kissed her, the more tired and weak my body felt, until finally my legs could no longer support my weight, I fell to the floor and fell asleep.
The scent of lavender flowers smelled strong in my nose, the breeze blew my long hair away. I opened my eyes slowly and a stretch of lavender fields instantly filled my eyes.
"Darling, you've finally arrived!"
I turned around and found the empress smiling at me warmly, "didn't you miss grandma, Aira?"
Grandma opened her arms wide, I caught grandma's cue and ran inside her warm and comfortable embrace. "Grandmother, thank you for always appearing in my dreams," I remember my grandmother appearing twice in my dreams, the first is when I meditate on the lake of eternity and the second is when I travel through time to see my own birth.
"Grandma hope you will never get bored baby, because grandma will always be there for you, needed or maybe not, because it is my duty to protect and guide you, Aira."
Grandma kissed the tip of my head, and stroked my hair softly. He hugged me again for a while.
"I know that you miss her, baby, but would you give me a chance to hug her too?"
Grandma loosened her arms, "go to your grandfather, he might almost cry because he misses you."
I nodded and took off my grandmother's embrace, then walked over to the grandfather who seemed to be sitting on a long, large wooden chair. Seeing me approaching, grandfather stood up and waited for me with both arms open, I happily ran into his arms. I don't care if it's just a dream like before, because it looks so real and beautiful, more than enough to treat my longing. Both of them sacrificed their lives when I was born into the world, so I didn't have the chance to meet them in the real world, so I told myself to be grateful for every moment with them, she said, even if it's just a dream.
"My youngest grandson has grown big and graceful now, I hear you're looking for a mate?" grandpa let go of his embrace and led me to sit on the wooden chair he was sitting on. We sat next to each other, Grandma came to us with her right hand carrying a large picnic basket.
"Has grandfather always been watching me?" I leaned against Grandpa's broad shoulders, while my eyes fell on the grandmother who was now taking out the contents of the picnic basket she had brought, arranging it on the wooden table in front of me and grandfather.
"What kind of question is that? Of course we've always been watching you all from here," Grandma cut off my conversation with grandfather.
"Your grandmother's right baby, so what are you gonna do? Pick someone on the list or?" kakel hung up his question, his left hand grabbed my shoulder, making me more comfortable leaning on him.
"Then follow your heart and choose Varen, what else do you doubt Aira?" Grandma clasped my left hand.
"I doubt because I can't find him, I miss Varen so much but I don't know where to go to find him, Grandma."
Sadness began to fill my heart, I had made various efforts to find Varen, but there was no answer.
"So, if you can find Varen, you'll choose her to be your companion? Are you sure you don't want to see everyone on the list first before deciding?" I looked into Grandpa's eyes, "your grandmother even spent some time traveling around the world first until she finally got back to Grandpa."
Grandma blushed in embarrassment, "that's because I realized that nothing can distract me from you!"
"HAHAHA..." Grandpa laughed loudly, he seemed satisfied with Grandma's reply.
"So how?" grandpa looked me in the eye for an answer.
"I just want Varen cake, I don't want anything else." I returned Grandfather's gaze, "I don't doubt Varen, I doubt myself. Do I deserve to be with him? Would he accept me like this?"
"What do you mean, baby? Excessive worry is not good" grandfather stroked my long hair. "Look at how long the list of names Balin was holding," the grandfather pointed in one direction to his right.
I gasped in surprise, "Balin?" Balin seemed to be asleep on a comfortable sofa on the porch of a beautiful classic log cabin, he seemed to close his eyes and enjoy his dream. "He never sleeps with me."
"Of course, you're lucky to have her Aira, she's a good and trustworthy person, she refuses to rest when she arrives, because she thinks of you, she worries about you when grandpa knows that her body is very tired, that's why grandpa forced her to take a break." I looked into Grandfather's eyes, I knew exactly the nature of Balin, forced however, he would not have been able to comply if it had been a matter of duty and responsibility. "Ehm grandfather gave him a little magic because he kept resisting, but calm down the magic that grandfather used is not dangerous at all."
I looked back at Balin who seemed to be asleep. "But how did he get here?"
"That's the head you gave me." Grandma answered me, she took a piece of apple pie and fed it to me, I opened my mouth and devoured it, it was so soft that I kept wanting it. "Balin will continue to follow you wherever you travel, both ordinary travel and time travel, as long as he still uses the headband you give, because the headband contains the essence of your energy. You need to destroy it when it's done, it'll be dangerous to fall into the hands of the wrong people."
I nodded and remembered it carefully to prevent any unwanted things. "I gave it to Balin so there's no need to touch him while using the portal or time travel."
"Why indeed? Why do you look afraid to touch and touch others?" Grandpa and grandma were looking at me questioningly.
"Grandpa, Grandma, I killed Aciel's father just by touching him. I saw it burn because of my touch!" My tears flowed, the memory of the day flashed again making the feeling of sin reappear.
"So then you conclude that you can kill others with your touch?" Grandma looks at me sad, her eyes teary, both her hands holding my face. "Grandpa and Grandma will let go of that shackle today" he kissed my forehead and hugged me tightly.
