Chapter 1.7: The Trusted Book (IV)

The wolf came back and was about to pounce on him. Hizashi meanwhile still fears that he will be put to death tomorrow. Not a single rapal did it launch.

"Why am I scared?.." asked Hizashi.

He was surrounded by monsters. The Red Lizard surrounded him on the right and Forest Canis on his left as well as the Black Fox in front of him.

"Receive this!"

Verdum's soldiers had indeed managed to slash the monsters. They consider it easy. The Hizashi monster is not that strong according to him.

Hizashi smiled a little.

"only this way? You're wrong!" hizashi said loudly.

"You think they're dead?"

The monsters surrounded the Verdum soldiers.

Hizashi was then about to leave from there, and returned to Rehobot, the place of the adventurers.

Supposedly, it has nothing to do there. However, Tetzell, who had accepted it, became a priority of his debt.

And suddenly, the female knight bowed towards Hizashi, followed by the other Vandr warriors.

"We're really grateful for your help!" said.

Hizashi was then shocked at their treatment. No one has ever thanked Bookmagus so far.

"Even if you're a Bookmagus, your heart is glorious!" said the female knight.

"No need to thank me. I am a law-abiding person." said Hizashi.

"Since the leader of Vandr died, Count Verdum of Rehobot has always been after us. So we are very grateful." he said.

"So that Verdum just wants your territory, huh?"

The knight clapped with a worried face. Hizashi understands the situation. He could imagine a power-hungry man who was threatening the region.

"Then I go first. I have something to do" Hizashi said.

"Oh, okay. Anyway we were very helped. If you can, come by here" said the knight.

"Alright." said Hizashi.

Then, Hizashi entered the Border Forest to return to his place, Rehobot. It was also late in the afternoon, and he had to hurry home.

Not sure what she was thinking, the female knight remembered something.

"Just a second! You haven't told me your name..."

It was too late, Hizashi had moved away and deepened into the forest. He was no longer visible from Vandr.

"He didn't even show his face."

Then, the female knight smiled slightly and returned towards the city with her soldiers.

"I hope we can meet again." he murmured.
