The Another World Grimoire

The Another World Grimoire
Chapter 1.6: The Trusted Book (III)

Hizashi walked out of the inn with a small bag that she placed on her waist. It was the place to put the money and the book.

Even though he had only been in that world for two days, he had already gained at least four skills within a day. Actually it is an extraordinary achievement because no adventurer has got the skill in a day.

"Uncle, how much does it cost?" hizashi said to the innkeeper.

"Forgot it" said the innkeeper.

His name is Tetzell. He was a blacksmith who gave Hizashi a ride to stay the night. His body is as strong as a boxing athlete. He was about forties. It does not discriminate people, even though the most hated person in the kingdom.

"I'm very grateful, uncle" said Hizashi bowing.

Then, Hizashi went towards the door and was about to get out of there. Spontaneously, Tetzell stopped him immediately.

"Wait a minute, kid,"

"Uncle...What's up?" ask Hizashi.

Tetzell gave her an adventurous outfit complete with her clothes and pants. As well as a small backpack that he thinks is useful for Hizashi.

"A—what is this, uncle?" ask Hizashi.

"It's just a little gift from me because you've been staying at my place" Tetzell said. "You know, my place is very secluded here and rarely would anyone want to stay here."

"Oh, thank you—paman" said Hizashi. "You live alone? It looks like there's nobody but you" he continued, wearing the adventurous clothes Tetzell gave him.

"Ah, I have been living alone since my wife died in a battle with another country" he smiled.

"Is that so? I'm sorry." said Hizashi.

"It's okay. Besides, you're Bookmagus, aren't you? Don't rely too much on other Guilds. You better shape it yourself" Tetzell said.

"Well." said Hizashi. Then he opened the door of the place. "I still haven't returned your favor, uncle."

"Yes, yeah! I-i know. Come back sometime" said Tetzell.

Hizashi then left Tetzell and went from there to adventure.

Adventurers are a very potential job in the kingdom. Think of it as education, then if you have ever been an adventurer, someone can join the military or government.

The Kingdom of Narcius was one of the few countries that had very high adventurous resources other than the Fulgenia Empire and the Havasch Kingdom.

In addition, adventurers focused on solving and exterminating monsters caused by magic errors that occurred during the Great War. it causes mutations in some living creatures except the main races such as goblins and orcs that also exist together with humans.

The monsters could be anywhere. But most of them are in fields, mountain areas, dungeons, and forests. Dungeons were the most supply of monsters.

"Where should I go now?.."

Then, he took his identity card. Then look at the quest column behind him. However, the column looked empty and there was nothing there.

"Haah, I thought there wasn't one." murmured Hizashi. "It's true what the ironman's uncle Zell-whatever-that said. Bookmagus rarely gets missions.."

Adventurers have two missions, namely Quest and Free-Up. Free-Up itself is a free mission that is not requested by anyone, such as monster hunting. The goal is to raise the level.

While Quest is a mission that comes from the request of a person or party. Depending on the difficulty, the Quest is divided into several levels, namely C the lowest, B, A, R, and the highest S.

Bookmagus usually rarely got quests, as no one was interested in using them as reinforcements. A quest that rejects Bookmagus will not be displayed on the Bookmagus adventurer card itself.

"No quest," he murmured. "It's better to just Free-Up."

He then stepped from there to his destination. This time he will go to the Rehobot-Vandr Territorial Border Forest to level up by fighting monsters there.

The Rehobot-Vandr Territorial Border Forest is the boundary between the Rehobot Territory and the Vandr in the south. It is said that there is a group of Ferocious Wolves known to like to prey.

The place was also considered dangerous by some adventurers who had been there. If many of them go there, only a quarter will return.

He already knew about the forest from Tetzell. However, he remained firm on his stance, for the sake of raising the level. His strength is like steel.

— Rehobot-Vandr Territorial Border Forest

After spending an hour walking from the city gate, he reached the hunting forest he was heading to. It was still early in the morning, but the forest was thick. Trees covered the area so the effect was a little spooky.

"I—this is the place?"

He was a little scared when he saw the forest. From the outside impression alone it was scary, especially those in the hunting forest.

"Somewhere that awaits me inside, I'd better get in." Hizashi said.

Then he went into the forest. How dark and covered the forest was. There are only a few gaps that make sunlight can enter there.

He watches and walks around it. Langakah by step and tree by tree he traced. Then, there was a sharp look from the monster he was about to fight.

"What's that?"

From the darkness, his eyes glowed sharply. It was as red as blood. Slowly, he came out of the darkness.

The creature was none other than a Ferocious Wolf in question. Katika Hizashi prepares her book, open to CHAPTER III, about the monsters she will fight. After matching it for a while, the wolf was Forest Canis.

Then also from the side and behind him, came Forest Canis. With his gray fur and red eyes, they looked at him sharply.

Hizashi is ready with his book. His gaze faithfully in three hundred and sixty degrees observed every Forest Canis that existed.

"Don't worry, don't be afraid, I can handle it myself." said Hizashi who was trembling.

Although the movement is ready, but his mentality is still not. He still needs to fight a lot.

He tried to get out of his fear, but suddenly his body felt unable to move. He felt that his body was stiff from fear.

"Why.I'm this scared..."

While he was still trembling, the wolves had surrounded him and were ready to pounce on him whenever he moved or attacked.

"I..fear?.." slowly groaned.
