The Another World Grimoire

The Another World Grimoire
Chapter 2.0: Annual Events of the Government (I)

— In a place, still around the Kingdom of Narcius.

There is a small habitable residence and can be occupied by about one to two families there. The house at that time looked quiet and serene, as well as the surrounding environment, in that silent night.

Right in one of the rooms in the residence, two people were sitting face to face in each of their chairs.

“.. I see..” said a person while taking his cup of tea and drinking it.

His appearance was neat and clean, like a learned and educated man. Medieval normal clothes and a fairly young face. Jefferstone Highmills, familiarly called Jeff — a Knight of Narcius who dominated and placed in the region.

“So, how did you decide, Mr Witchbald?”

His style of speech was very polite and authoritative, truly reflecting a true knight who was loyal and loyal to the one he wanted to protect.

And what he called “Master Witchbald” — Ezvel van Witchbald who sat opposite him — was a nobleman who ruled the region as a Count. It is not possible that the knights alone submit to him. Her appearance was like a normal noble in general, it was just that her clothes were not too luxurious.

“All I want is the safety of the people in my territory. I will not obey those Nobles to make my territory a fighting or war arena!”

His tone was a little firm. There was a problem that needed to be addressed at that time, which caused a rift in relations between the nobles of — regarding Monster's Domain, an event in which the monsters diverted to certain regions that caused great damage, and the, which is solely to raise the level.

Incidentally, for this year the event was held one of them in the region.

Equally silent, equally voiceless, like that's how it is. They think of each other.

“Then, Mr. Witchbald, I go first.” Jeff stood up from his chair.

“Where are you going? It's late, you know?”

“Dynoseus.”

“Dynoseus, yes? If from here at most it only takes half an hour to get there.”

“Yes. There's someone I want to meet.”

“Who is he?” ask Witchbald while taking some rock sugar and pouring it into his cup.

“A Bookmagus.”

There was a surprised look on Witchbald's face.

“A Bookmagus?”

Jeff nodded once. He was very sure of who he wanted to meet at Dynoseus.

“But, isn't Bookmagus rare? Moreover this is in the City of Adventurers.” asked Witchbald who had just put down his cup.

“Unfortunately such an adventurer still exists, and he is under severe pressure due to the many rejections from the people of Dynoseus.” Jeff said frankly.

“Rejection, possible influence of other nobles.”

“Possibly, Mr. Witchbald.” said Jeff who then headed towards the door.

“Alright, be careful on the road.” said Count Witchbald.

He walked to the place where he put his horse to rest.

The horse looked at its master then neighed softly.

“Let's go.” said Jeff greeting his horse while carrying a bag and a weapon he had stored behind him.

And at that very moment, he used a robe equipped with a hood. Closing his hood, he took a saddle and put it on the shoulder of the horse, and then climbed the horse.

“Forward!” shouting.

The horse again neighed, and then drove out of the Seyzov Chapel complex across a lonely and silent night.

***

Jeff and his horse traversed several settlements there that looked lonely and quiet at night, there were only a few soldiers and adventurers who were assigned to become the Town Guard to keep the area safe.

There was only the sound of Jeff's horse-footed pattering through the silence that night.

“Drap, drap.” that's how it sounds.

— Monster's Domain..

— An event where the Kingdom will divert a large pool of monsters.

— And then the collection of monsters was ordered to attack the settlement that would be the target.

— Then, the adventurers will be ordered to those regions to finish off the monsters in order to level up.

— And adventurers who manage to do so will be seen as great adventurers and become heroes for all.

— But not all..

— The settlement community affected by the adventurous event should get help from the government above it.

— This time, many corrupt governments are taking the seat of government.

— And lately, most of the Counts or Barons who ruled did not get assistance funds, and inevitably, had to withdraw large taxes to make repairs.

— Should they be replaced by a worthy one?

So Jeff walked while thinking and muttering in his heart about the event. He did not feel that he had approached Dynoseus to meet someone he wanted to meet.

— Bookmagus it, may it be hope.
