The Another World Grimoire

The Another World Grimoire
Chapter 2.6: In Chloe Village (2)

“So, how about the dragon hunt you mean?”

Rhea seemed to be upset that Baron Oliver had suddenly changed his mission. Apparently, Rhea until now did not know what her true mission meant.

“You're not aware yet? Of course, Verdum Hobart.” I insinuate. “That dragon is Verdum Hobart.”

Frostle laughed. Baron Oliver's trying to hold back the giggles. Some of the knights present in the baron room were also seen holding back laughter. I didn't expect that this would be that funny.

“Yang is right! Though I have prepared myself for this.” Rhea looked desperate.

“Ah, we apologize profusely about that. After all, the adventurers we hope for are adventurers who are able to fight whatever the situation and no matter how important the conditions.”

Frostle and I nodded at Baron Oliver's statement. While Rhea began to fall limp in one of the room chairs.

“Then, we can rule out the Quest problem,”. “We can start for defense against Duke Verdum first.”

I triggered it spontaneously—it flashed a moment in my mind. However, who would have thought that Baron Oliver nodded his head at my suggestion. For him, it might just be the right idea.

“Great idea, Hizashi. But, our strength is only a little for now. In contrast to Duke Verdum who had ten thousand more trained troops he gathered from Rehobot and Nord-Rehobot.” Frostle explained pessimistically.

Baron Oliver whose face was already carefree earlier also returned moody. He was aware that his troops were few and not very well trained.

“How about your member, Frostle?” I asked. “Didn't you guys have a big amount?”

“Only fifty. Not much.”

“Fifty plus fifty, means a hundred people. We can use a hundred of these guys. How much longer until the Monster’s Domain event will be held, Baron Oliver?”

Baron Oliver then unsealed a letter and read it. It seemed like the letter was an official letter coming out of the Kingdom.

“More or less ten months. That is the most recent change.”

“Still enough time. We can still train the troops.” I say that optimistically.

“But, how to?” Baron Oliver is confused.

Then I opened my book. At once the book was glowing and magic characters and magic circles appeared on the surface.

“I'll train him.”

I'm still awake. I have changed my clothes. I checked my status on the cursor window, it looks like there's been a change.

[Name : Shu Hizashi

Nobility/Title: None

Level: 3 (EXP Required 0210/4000)

Class : Bookmagus ]

Without me knowing, I have leveled up. I was still browsing through my status cursor, and I saw that I had also gained a new skill.

[Skill :

High Refining (A - Level 1)

Heavy Quaker (A - Level 1)Luminous Fang (A - Level 1)

High Speed (C - Level 1)

High Skill/Warned :

Monster Asorber (S - Level 1) Prediction (S - Level 1)]

Skill “Predicted” I've got. I just realized it myself. I don't know since when this skill is attached to me, but I will try to raise the level. Maybe this will be very useful to me. Especially in countering the threat of forcible exclusion by Duke Verdum.

What Duke Verdum did was look for a place for Monster’s Domain. He needed the territory of small nobles who were not tied to any two dynasties. Therefore, it was very possible for him to attack small territories like Chloe.

Looks like it's getting night. But someone knocked on my bedroom door. Unnatural. Hit this, people should have gone to sleep.

“Excuse me, Mr Hizashi!” There was a loud male voice.

He knocked it many times. Looks like something terrible has happened.

I opened the door. A knight in a hurry. “What are these nights coming here?” my many.

“The village has been attacked!”
