Chapter 2.5: In Chloe Village (1)

Frostle, Hizashi, Rhea and their troupe walk down the path through the hills. The distance was only two hundred meters from the location where their fight had been. Frostle led the way, while Hizashi was still busy flipping through the pages of his book. Rhea rested on the horse carriage and the Frostle gang followed them from behind while keeping watch with their makeshift weapons.

“In a minute we will be there,” said Frostle.

While they were still walking, Rhea, who had been resting in the horse carriage, was now walking beside Frostle and Hizashi.

“Rhea, since when were you there?” ask Hizashi. “Aren't you recovering?”

“I'm just kidding if I'm tired. I'm just lazy to walk.”

Frostle who heard that then laughed. “This phone is very spoiled huh?”

“What did you say?” Rhea's face almost turned angry. Frostle trembled.

“Relax, Rhea. Don't be like a child.” Hizashi advised so that Rhea calmed down again.

“Thank God,” said Frostle as he sighed.

Rhea then resumed the conversation. “Hey, your name was Frostle Deccenti, right?” ask Rhea slowly. “What happened to your family?”

“You mean, Family Deccenti?” ask Hizashi.

Rhea nodded. Frostle did not answer. His face changed from carefree to a little moody. Memories of his family seemed to cross his mind and form his present expression. Frostle then pointed to an old castle that had been living in ruins in the middle of the hill as they walked towards Chloe Village. I don't know if he did it to divert the conversation. He didn't want to talk about his family at all.

“By the way, it used to belong to a ruling family here. They're very nice. They always help people who are in trouble. Everyone knows them very well.” Frostle explained in a normal tone.

Hizashi and Rhea who were listening to the story only gave a small nod. Not cutting or interrupting his words at all, even though they know what “tory” Frostle meant. Frostle then continued his story.

“Everything was fine, until unknown knights came and took out all those families. They also besieged the village and looted it. There is nothing left of that family. All were slaughtered by them. The castle was burned and their bodies were left lying in that burning castle,” Frostle continued.

“One-time cruelty! How could they do it?” Rhea couldn't believe it.

Frostle shrugged his shoulders. “That's. If you try to remember the past constantly, there you will only be hurt. Better forget it.”

While they continued to talk, they had reached the gate of Chloe village.

The village baron greeted us kindly. He's a rather old man who's still healthy. Maybe his age still looks about four-tenths of a year. His clothes were not as luxurious as the nobles in Dynoseus.
