OverHeat part 2 [Liliana Rosweiss ]

Two large scythes slid towards me. The power of the scythe was much stronger than it seemed. Unexpectedly, the attack was even able to knock me backwards. Although there were no serious injuries, the attack overwhelmed me.

"Stop! I'm not a demon!" I shouted, trying to explain the situation to Katherine who kept attacking me. From what he said earlier, it seems like he mistook me for a demon.

Katherine kept pushing me, while Silvia was cornered by Mr. Vestine. As I thought, he completely ignored Mr. Vestine because he knew that Mr. Vestine was an ally. But, he attacked me for thinking of me as a demon, and not a human.

As if realizing what I was thinking, the black smoke that had attacked Silvia shot towards Katherine. He covered our bodies, so that no one could see what was happening in this thick black smoke.

"Stop it, Katherine."

Mr. Vestine's voice appeared followed by his form appearing from within the black smoke. Realizing Mr. Vestine's presence, Katherine was shocked as if she did not understand what was really going on.

"You, Vestine? What are you doing here?" Ask Katherine.

When talking to Mr. Vestine, she looked quite calm without any emotions. It was very different from the face he showed me. Katherine seems to be a vampire who respects the covenant. He seemed to forget all these emotions after meeting face to face with Mr. Vestine who was none other than one of the leaders of this interracial agreement.

"Stop your attack. He's not the enemy, he's our ally" Vestine said.

"allied? But he's a Devil!"

"Liliana is not a demon. He was one of the victims of that demon race abomination. He was the former object of their experiments, a half-demon human being," explained Mr. Vestine. "despite his power and demonic form, he is still a human being who is currently on our side."

"A half-demon man?" Ask Katherine. He looked confused, but it seemed he was starting to accept this reality.

Katherine took down her big scythe, then stared at me. Although black smoke still enveloped us, our eyes could still recognize each other.

"If that is the case, forgive me for what I just did" Katherine said. "This time, I won't misidentify my enemy anymore."

After saying that, the atmosphere of the battle returned to its original state. Katherine and I retreated against each other, along with the loss of black smoke that Mr. Vestine was controlling.

Vestine and I retreated, while Katherine returned to the side of Silvia who was currently severely injured due to our attack.

"You're finally coming too. Good job, you've made that shitty smoke back," Silvia said patting Katherine's shoulder from behind. "Now your chance, quickly finish them off!"

Silence, no answer. Katherine remained silent as Silvia gave the order. From here alone, I could feel a strong hostility from Katherine, directed at Silvia who was willing to give orders. From the beginning, their relationship was very, very bad.

"O-oi, Katherine?! What are you waiting for?! Didn't you hear what I said? Hurry up and kill them for me!" Silvia repeated her words.

And again, silence has no answer.

"Katherine? Didn't you really hear my orders?"

It all happened so fast that I didn't realize exactly when it happened. Katherine's big scythe that appeared on her shoulder suddenly shot into Silvia's chest from behind. He could only stare in disbelief, killed by a vampire he had always considered subordinate and always ordered.

His body was stiff, his mind was empty. Silvia could only complain.

"Friends? Do you really think of me as a friend? What kind of friend uses his own friend as if he were a slave?" Katherine asked with a cold glare. The large scythe that was still stuck in Silvia's body moved, ripping Silvia's body to formless. He was still alive even after being dismembered like that. Even though he was alive, his life was not saved.

Silvia's entire body began to overflow, and it was charred like burnt paper. His body turned into scattered ash, blown by the wind within the magic space without time. With this, Silvia De Katade was already completely defeated.

I lowered my guard. But, right now Miss Stephanie is fighting Rosalia. Are we supposed to calm down while Miss Stephanie's risking her life there?

Realizing what I was thinking, Vestine patted me on the shoulder.

I removed my demonic form, and sat on the grassy ground. Mr. Vestine was right, after removing my demonic form, the sense of saki I felt during the fight immediately appeared. If I had fought with that form for longer, I would not have been able to endure all this pain anymore.

While we were resting, Katherine walked over to us. He kept staring at my face, until it made me feel a little wrong.

"Your name is Liliana, right?"

"A-ah right, I haven't introduced myself." Right too, how can I forget this simple thing. "My name is Liliana Rosweiss, one of the Magic Assosiation members. Magic Knight No 14 The Diabolic."
