Vampires (part 3)

Such a quiet night. It's such cold weather. The darkness is so gripping. And such a troubling silence.

In the middle of it all, dozens of people in uniform wandered around without caring about anything. Monitor everything that happens on each side of the Blue Lagoon city.

And that's what's happening to us right now. Me, Elie and Aoi are moving towards the 3rd district of the city of Bluelagoon. A shopping area with multi-storey buildings on each side of the street. Elsewhere, Shiki takes Kayn, Liana and Fiera to the 6th district. It could be said to be in the opposite direction from where we were.

And the atmosphere here is quite gripping, especially for me.

"Why do you two have to be on duty with us...." Grumpy Elie. Since then, he has continued to argue about this.

As if remembering something, Aoi nodded and kept quiet. He then took something out of his waist bag.

"Phone mik?" Ask Elie wonder.

"Ah, sorry it's a communication device from my world." Aoi.

"Huh, stop saying things that don't exist in this world. You think we can understand that?" Elie complained. "in addition, which world are you from?"

"don't you know that my brother and I are from another world?" ask Aoi astonished.

But before Elie tried the device, I suddenly felt something. A similar sound was heard in my ear.

It's not like a Walkie-Talkie connection. This voice was also not the voice of the ReVoid officer. It's the sound of a different creature. And he was near us.

"Aoi, do you feel anything?" My toot. Aoi immediately fell silent.

"Shut up first Elie. It looks like there's something in that hallway." I turned to a narrow, dark hallway.

Aoi who had been silent started to react.

"They're here." Her speech.

"Vampire."

My body as soon as possible moved into that dark passageway. Darkness like this is not a problem in front of my night vision. I kept on advancing through the darkness.

"Zay!!" Shouted Elie.

"What are you doing Zayn?! Don't be rash!!" Shouted Aoi too.

They both immediately chased me. I didn't lower my speed either. I don't know why I feel a little excited. This vampire I'm about to meet could be my first victim in my vampire extermination debut.

Amidst the darkness of the passageway, their figures were found. There were two people wearing long black robes there. When they noticed me and turned their heads, the light of the moon reflected from their eyes. Make their red eyes shine bright. No mistake, it's a vampire.

"Meet you!!"

I raised my monster hand. I also increased my speed with magic. With one horizontal movement, I barged forward attacking them.

As I expected, they dodged very quickly. One of them appeared behind me and the other one came up ahead. It's exactly as I planned.

My hard wing emerged from my shoulder as the two Vampires behind me leapt in attack. My wings appeared quickly, forming large thorns that pierced towards the two of them. One vampire was stabbed in the chest. That was a fatal attack.

The vampire who was facing me in front started to move, raising his hand. He was going to attack me with his bare hands.

"You're confident once—

A horizontal slash of hand slashed at my wings. With just that one strike alone, my wings were crushed to pieces. I was surprised. He actually destroyed this hard wing of mine with just one strike? And again with empty hands?! This doesn't make any sense.

"Looks like you're a confident boy...."

Although he managed to free his friend from my wing, the vampire who had been stabbed was not saved. My wing has hit the vital part.

"Damn.."murmured.

One more attack came, this time he was aiming for my neck. Carefully, I tried to fend it off with my hands. But slowly his attacks eroded my hard skin. He kept moving and attacking. I couldn't keep up with his pace and didn't get a gap to counter-attack. My defense also began to its limit.

And without me noticing, he reappeared before me with his hands raised up. I didn't have time to make preparations. He intended to end with a vertical attack.

"Zayn's down!!"

I immediately lowered my head, and at that instant a bullet appeared that shot into the vampire's right hand. The attack made him alert and drifted away.

A magic circle appeared in the air, shooting a yellow ray towards him. And as the vampire fended him off, the beam exploded and spread throughout his body. Makes him quiet not flinch.

Aoi and Elie immediately showed up to help me. It seems like the magic attack belonged to Elie.

The final attack was launched by Aoi casually, and right through the head and chest of the immovable vampire. It then began to disintegrate like burning ash. Just like the previous vampire stabbed in my wing.

This fight ended quickly.

"What are you doing Zayn?! It could be that you broke through forward like that and left the team!!" Shouted Aoi. He's very angry now.

"For the time being I agree with him, you're really careless Zayn!!" Elie was following along too. "If for example the opponent is stronger how would it be?! If I'm a little late, you might get killed! Aren't you thinking about how I feel, Zayn?!"

"You guys are so emotional, it's important I'm alive and that the vampire was killed. It's a perfect achievement on my first debut." Reply relax.

"Don't joke at a time like this!! I told you, right? Never underestimate them! Even if you're strong fighting alone and leaving your partner behind isn't the right thing!!" Shouted Aoi again. It seems his emotions are really peaking. "If you think you can beat them alone, you can die in an instant. Trust your teammates a little!!"

"That's right, stupid Zayn!!" Shouted Elie too. "Think about your teammate Zayn's feelings!!"

I was silent, unable to answer their words. Maybe it's true, but I'm not doing this, it doesn't mean I don't trust them.

"What are you saying? From the beginning I believed that you would come to help. I'm not the one who thinks I can do everything alone." My answer. "If it was me, it might have happened. But I trust you guys so much now."

"What..you mean?" Ask Aoi. From her expression, even though she looks upset, I know for a fact that she worries about me as much as Elie does.

"My job as a melee attacker is to make sure that my colleagues can work to their fullest. That's why I went ahead and secured the area so that you guys could freely help me." My speech. "Aoi with quick reflex attacks can help me in times of distress, and Elie can help my attacks with her magic. If only I hadn't advanced first to finish off one of them, we'd be in trouble. Aoi and Elie fell silent Hearing my statement. I also kept quiet, resting after explaining at length. Meanwhile, without me realizing Aoi looked very guilty.

After saying that, Elie breathed out, looking at Aoi who still looked sad.

It's the first time I've seen Elie smiling kindly to Aoi. That was enough to surprise me and Aoi too.
