The Black Knight [Kayn Endarker]

Hearing my threat, Chase clenched his teeth. It seemed, my words just now had even made her even more provoked. I thought I wasn't good at this.

As before, Chase's physical form disappeared like dust blown by the wind. This disappearing ability is absolutely perfect. I didn't even hear the sound of the attack. Although I can still feel the intent and the air of killing him, this is still troublesome.

A bluish silver long sword with a yellow hue appeared in my hand. This is one of my favorite weapons, because it has the ability to destroy and attack ordinary powerful electric magic. Only, the speed of his attacks is fairly slow if it does not use magic. But if I use too much magic, I can run out of Manna. It seemed like only the armor was able to cover up this shortcoming.

"Insomnia: The Black Knight."

Instantly, a flow of magic appeared overlaying my body. That flow of magic gave rise to a complete set of armor all over my body, covering it perfectly. Black Knight, a dark knight who moves without being ruled by anyone.

The armour I brought up this time was one of the least used. That's because the defense is lower than my other armour. But in his speed of motion and attack, he was on a level equivalent to a Plaides Knight.

It is a black armor with a layer of Orihalcum, with a mixture of pure Obsidian. Coated with aura and shadow magic, the speed of motion and attack of this armor increased drastically in the dark areas. Therefore, using it at night as it is today is the best option.

The speed of the Black Knight, plus the attack power of the Mljonir Sword. With this, I can finish Chase off as soon as possible.

I'm trying to fend off all the attacks he's been on. As I said before, his existence completely vanished even down to his voice. I can only predict his attack from the killing air he unleashed. But that alone still can't go after him. I might be able to hold it, but I can't attack it. Using area magic in the first second of the fight will only waste my Manna. Which means, I have to optimize the strength of the two attributes of my sword and armor.

With the shadow attribute of the Black Knight, I began to run around each building. The speed of the dark element is the fastest at night. Therefore, I think I can find his whereabouts if I observe each direction of his attack.

With the light and electrical attributes of the Mljonir Sword, I attempted to analyze the source of his attack. Judging from his attack, it seems that he used a weapon with a type of dagger. Which means, it has a short attack range. He must come closer to attack me. Therefore, I enveloped around my body with Electrical magic to detect any movement that occurred near me. With that magic, all moving objects that touch the area around me will be detected easily.

But even so, I was still astonished by the way he fought. All the attacks he launched came from different places. If there's a time lag, that's natural given the vampire's unusually fast pace. But this attack came from the opposite place, at the same time. It was like fighting many people at once.

This isn't good. I don't know what technique he uses because he's still in an invisible form. But if it continues like this, I can run out of steam. This is not a good time to hold back.

"Insomnia: The Shadowgraph!"

Thanks to the training from Marry's sister, my insomnia skills improved dramatically. If I was only able to create things through my imagination, now I can even create magic and skills from the weapons or armor I created.

I started running after activating the Shadowgraph skill. And every time I run, I leave a shadow on the trail I walk. The shadow moves like me, and it will even cast the same magic as what I cast.

Shortly after the lightning strike, Chase appeared near one of my shadows charred by lightning. I think I managed to get over it.

A magic protector appeared behind me. Made an unexpected attack behind me bounce. Of course I was very surprised. Especially this? Didn't I kill Chase?

"Don't let your guard down Kayn! This fight is not over yet!" Mr. Osamu's voice was heard from behind me. A moment later, he suddenly appears as the missing Chase appears. Does he also have magic that makes him disappear like that?

"Sir Osamu? Why is it here?!"

"Stop your question. The opponent you're facing is not dead yet."

"But I killed him just now?!"

"It's just a Clone" replied Osamu. "I've been watching his movements. He has two Blood Sacrified."

"He multiplied the number by splitting off, like that clone of yours," he replied.

I was a little surprised to hear that. Then we can't linger.

"Then it's really a fun coincidence" I said. "Insomnia: The Thunder Instrument!"

A large magic circle appeared under my feet. Unlike Thunder Spike, Thunder Instrument was an area magic with a much wider range. This magic creates a lightning strike like a musical instrument in a radius of 50 meters. It's risky to tell Rozalia my whereabouts, but because it's so far away he wouldn't suspect that I'd come after him.

After the activation of the Thunder Instrument, Chase's charred figure appeared to fall. There was a total of 5 Chase, that meant that all of them had been killed. With this it seems like I can feel a little relieved—

Shots of blood-red feathers appeared from the west. This attack, Blood Sacrified belongs to one of the vampires. But the attack wasn't directed at me, but behind me.

Slowly, another Chase figure appeared behind me right after his body was hit by dozens of thorn feathers. His eyes were wide as if he could not believe what he was seeing.

"You! What are you doing Vanessa!!"

"Insomnia: Thunder Spike!"

Another lightning strike appeared and scorched Chase's body. Looks like that one split before the Thunder Instrument. Well, then, it's the last one.

"It looks like I owe you, Vanessa," I smiled.

Vanessa emerged from the roof of the building, flying with her red wings towards me. Seeing me smile, he looked a little surprised.

"I don't think you can smile like that. I thought you were just a cold kid with no feelings" he said.

"Eh? Is that really so? Aren't you wrong to distinguish me from my sister?"

"Eh, really?"

Hearing that Vanessa laughed. Unlike before, she looks like a very nice girl, even though she's a vampire.

"Your name is Kayn Endarker, right? Your abilities are great. I seem to like you a little."

"I'm sorry but I already have a boyfriend."

I heard him laugh a little. I never thought it would come when humans and vampires laughed warmly at each other.

"Enough talk, there are still things you have to do, Kayn," said Mr. Osamu. I'm nodding. Vanessa has it too.

"Good luck, Kayn," said Vanessa. "And please, defeat rozalia immediately."
