Overtime

The pile of files still doesn't budge on my desk. Many times I stood up from the chair because I felt like my waist was going to come off my body. Even I can't relax at lunch because my head is just those shitty files.

Pacing around revising made me feel like I wanted to faint. No one can ask for help because each employee is facing the same situation. Declare and swearing out of employees who hope to go home early but apparently can not.

A clock on the wall shows at five in the afternoon and some employees choose to go home and others take their work to a cafe or other place that can offer free Wi-Fi. I can only sit quietly in my place because in the rented there is no laptop or anything that can support the work I do.

Some people offered to come with them alone rather than alone in the office but I refused for a thousand reasons because I felt bad.

"Hmmm..."

I turned to the origin of the sound even though I knew who was making that annoying sound.

"Why are you still sitting here?"

I rolled my lazy eyeballs arguing.

"I'm overtime, sir" I said.

"Indeed I told you to go overtime??"

"It's.this.this.." I pointed to some files scattered on the desk.

"Take it home, 'cause nobody's overtime"

"I don't have wifi or a laptop" sir"

"Poor really are you" she said as she passed.

I could only snort angrily at the middle-aged man's words. You arrogant.my mind is upset.

The atmosphere of the office that had been quiet made me focus on work so that there were a few more files left. I don't feel like clockwork is already at number seven and my stomach can't be compromised anymore. All I could do was let the worms in my stomach ring because I just wanted to get this shitty job done.

"Brakkkp.."

I was surprised that suddenly the annoying guy just popped up with some food boxes and put them in front of me.

"Wash your hands there, bring me cold water" he said.

Before I finished my words his hands were already shaking as if he didn't want to hear anything.

I could only resign and immediately stepped towards the pantry to do as he commanded.

He gave two boxes of rice and some side dishes inside. One liter of cold strawberry juice also did not escape from the eyes.

"Spend.." she said coldly.

"It's a lot sir.."

"Bring you home for breakfast tomorrow" he said.

We ate in silence, he sat next to me pulling the chair roughly.

"Thank you.." My words are sincere.

There was no sound coming out of his mouth he was busy with food in front of him. The food I eat is so good, like the famous chef who made it. Even the rice is so good, because I'm so hungry.

I poured strawberry juice and gave it to her. He just glanced at me without saying anything.

"Next time don't go overtime if there's no one else"

I just nodded not understanding what he was talking about.

"Slow down.I'm not going to ask for your food." he said sucks.

I unconsciously finished a box of food without any leftovers. Only tonight it felt like I was eating something nutritious that just didn't make my stomach full.

"Quick fix it. It's night"

"But sir, my work is not done yet"

"Why do you do it tomorrow, you're alive tomorrow, right?"

Upset..dejected.
