Chapter 31 [Baekhyun's Eyes 9]

"Casus corruption? You sure about that, Lay?"

The man nodded his head, "You know what? The news appeared on social media. I don't know why it just disappeared."

Baekhyun thought hard trying to remember what Lay said. Ah, right too. Baekhyun had just debuted. But because Baekhyun was too focused on his debut career, he did not pay much attention to the development of the news.

"With the news of the corruption returning, I am sure the Hangeum will not be able to do anything about it. That way, you and Sohyun are safe." Lay leaned his body on the chair. The two met at a cafe in Gangnam. Baekhyun as usual, wore a covered dress with a hat and mask that protected his face. While Lay, looks ordinary but handsome with a shirt and jeans. No one would have thought that Lay was a psychiatrist.

"I'm sure you'll be investigating the case soon, Baek. But I hope you're careful. I think the Hangeum has a lot of connections. If you misstep just a little bit, your career and Sohyun will be threatened as well."

Baekhyun nodded his head and he was determined. He would do anything if it could protect Sohyun.

Actually, the only way to protect the girl was to stay away from her. But Lay said Baekhyun should try to catch up with the girl and find a way to get them together. And now, Lay is also surprised by the news that Sohyun is dating Taehyung.

"You love Sohyun, don't you? Why did you resign once when Sohyun belonged to someone else?!" lay looked at Baekhyun with annoyance, not thinking about his friend this one. If Lay was Baekhyun, he would do everything possible to keep Taehyung from approaching Sohyun any minute!

"This is a supplement for you. I heard you were going to do a photo shoot on Jeju Island."

Baekhyun smiled and accepted the box, "Thank you, Lay."

The trip to Jeju Island was quite boring for Baekhyun. Coupled with the presence of Yuri who went along there. Well, once again, they were asked to be models in a Korean tourism ad.

Since the incident a few days ago, Yuri did not talk much with Baekhyun. The girl avoided the man a little. But occasionally Baekhyun caught wet Yuri was staring at him.

"The shoot will take place tomorrow morning. You can rest and relax tonight" the producers said. The entire team disbanded that night to rest in a residential inn. The housing is terraced because it was built on a hill. The view is not playful even at night. The stars shone quite brightly, and the wind blew quite fiercely.

Baekhyun decided to take a walk, intending to reduce his stress.

Ah, how is Sohyun doing today? Baekhyun. The night wind and autumn temperatures are not a good mix. It was very cold and Baekhyun was sure, without the supplements and vitamins Lay had given him, tomorrow he would have caught a cold.

"Excuse me!" sohyun exclaimed then quickly ran down the hill, leaving behind Baekhyun who was shocked because the girl ran so fast. Slightly disappointed by Sohyun's evasive reaction when meeting him.

But slowly Baekhyun smiled knot. This was his last chance if he wanted to grab Sohyun back.

"A little while I'm going to shoot. Prepare yourself!" PD says. All team crews answered compactly. While Baekhyun and Yuri are in makeup right now.

"In a moment, Chairman Lee will be here, Baek," Sangjin said. Baekhyun just silently listened to what his manager said.

"Thank you for the information, Manager Yoo!" replied Yuri who was sitting next to Baekhyun. The girl smiled sweetly at Sangjin. The teary-eyed man only smiled faintly and nodded his head.

Baekhyun was silent again while playing his phone.

"It's cold today, Baek! It's a good thing that we're wearing coats for this photo shoot" Yuri said. Baekhyun only glanced at the girl, then returned to his activities.

Can Baekhyun know that the girl is now biting her lips, whether the girl is upset or anxious, Baekhyun also does not want to know.

"You'll look good later, Yuri," commented makeup artist Park with a smile. Yuri smiled at the compliment and thanked him. Baekhyun did not care.

Baekhyun makeup artist Somin has just finished applying powder to Baekhyun.

"Well, today the visitor is quite crowded huh," Somin commented, making Baekhyun raise his head looking around. But Baekhyun's view is locked when he sees someone. In the next instant, Baekhyun got up from his seat and walked towards that figure.

"Hey, Baekhyun! Where are you going? The photo shoot is about to start!" somin exclamation saw the artist leave just like that as soon as he finished applying the last makeup.

Baekhyun did not care about the sound of the makeup artist's call and Yuri in the back. As long as there was no manager and agency chairman, Baekhyun had to go after Sohyun and finish his business.

Baekhyun was quite surprised when he saw Sohyun with a man, and the man now grabbed his girl and left. Baekhyun quickly tried to chase after them. Damn, I don't know why Sohyun and that guy are so fast!

"Kim Sohyun, stop!" baekhyun exclaimed while adjusting his breath that was stinged because of running.

He saw that Sohyun turned his body around and looked at Baekhyun with an annoyed look. Ah, Baekhyun doesn't like that.

"We need to talk,"

"Alright, just talk now,"

Baekhyun snorted, then looked at the man next to Sohyun, "Only you and I, without the man."

"Alright, alright. I'm goin. I'll give you five minutes to talk to my Sohyun!"

Sohyun-ku said?!

Baekhyun again snorted and now he was annoyed. He walked closer towards Sohyun with an introgating look.

"Who is that guy?" ask Baekhyun.

"What's wrong? You don't have to ask who that guy is. Just get to the point is, do you want to talk to me?" ask Sohyun.

"I need to know who that guy is and why you two are alone here! You were with Taehyung then, and now who is that guy?!"

"Heol, why are you so angry like this, eoh?" asked Sohyun who was also not completely finished with Baekhyun's behavior now.

"How can I not be angry?! You already have a lover but you're walking with another guy here. How about if–"

Baekhyun stopped his words. He almost slipped.

"If what?" sohyun asked curiously at Baekhyun's words.

What if I'm your girlfriend, Sohyun? Are you going to walk with another guy like this?

I want Baekhyun to say that. But his mouth said something else.

"Forgetit."

"He's my cousin. He took me on vacation here" Sohyun replied.

Baekhyun gritted his teeth.

Good, now he's jealous of this girl's cousin. Ah, seeing Sohyun with another man makes Baekhyun crazy!

"Stop your relationship with Taehyung."

Yup, Baekhyun was satisfied to say so. Baekhyun was satisfied in the end after going through some debate, Baekhyun was able to reveal his heart.

Baekhyun finally looked at Yuri. The girl was quite surprised because Baekhyun looked at her again as usual.

"Thank you," said Baekhyun flatly.

Yuri smiled, "What if your thanks were replaced by accompanying me on a walk tonight? It's our last day on Jeju Island."

Baekhyun wanted to refuse. But he knows Yuri has other plans if Baekhyun does not comply. This girl turned out to be more annoying than Baekhyun thought.

"If you're not with me, it's easy. I'll tell Chairman Lee what happened."

Justright.

Baekhyun smiled cynically. Finally, with a single breath, Baekhyun responded to the invitation.

Yuri and Baekhyun are now walking together from a rustic inn in the hills, towards the beach– just like Yuri wanted. Baekhyun was silent as he walked, while Yuri spoke a lot. It tells the story of his father's gradually improving state, and all sorts of things Baekhyun doesn't want to hear. He only wanted to hear Sohyun's voice, or at least hear the sound of the waves and wind tonight.

"Baek! Why are you quiet, huh? Is what I'm telling you uninteresting?" ask Yuri while stopping her steps. The girl glanced at Baekhyun in annoyance.

"I'm just accompanying you. No need to respond to what you're talking about, right?" Baekhyun.

"But at least appreciate what I'm talking about. I just want to have a chat with you, Baekhyun,"

Baekhyun smiled cynically, "You should be the one who appreciates me because I already love others. Can you stop approaching me?"

"I know it's wrong, but I like you."

"Why?"

Yuri closed her eyes for a moment, then looked at Baekhyun back, "Baek, we've been dating for two weeks! Is it possible that I'm not falling for you right now?!"

"And again, you're the one who understands my situation. You're the one who gives me spirit every day. Is it wrong if I like you?!

"I don't like you treating Sohyun like it was this afternoon. You can only treat me like that!"

"Stop acting stupid, Yuri." Baekhyun was about to walk back to leave Yuri. But the next second, Yuri pulled Baekhyun's hand and brought his face closer to Baekhyun.

The man was not stupid as to what Yuri was about to do. Just before the lips touched her lips, Baekhyun pushed Yuri's body by holding both of the girl's shoulders.

Yuri was aghast, between shocked and embarrassed.

"I've kissed another girl."

Yuri looked at Baekhyun furiously. That girl looks really creepy.

"Don't tell me you kissed Sohyun!" yuri Exclamation.

Baekhyun removed his hand from Yuri's shoulder, and he smiled sinisterly.

"Unfortunately it is. I kissed the girl."

Baekhyun walked away from Yuri who was now crying again. The man doesn't care anymore. Because tonight, he heard something interesting from one of the inn houses.

"I'm going to make an investment for the construction of that company, Mr. Oh. You already know where I got the money. Those kids are too easy for me to trick. They're so stupid. Doing the exercises years before debut?! Aish, that's a ridiculous thing I've heard.

"Why are they willing to trouble themselves to become idols? I didn't promise that. If they make their debut, their salary will not be much.

"Baekhyun's? Ah, only he and Yuri are the ones I rely on now, they're just my tools. Soon enough, I'll have to withdraw the financing, and Yuri will have to work harder."

Baekhyun clenched his hands. Next to his hand turned off the voice recording he got with his cellphone.
