Chapter 29 [Baekhyun's Eyes 7]

The schedule that Baekhyun had turned out to be more than he had imagined. At least every day there are some advertisements asking Baekhyun to be her model and some photo shoots for magazines. Not to mention the voice recording and so on. Several times Baekhyun was also preached to fill a television show with Yuri as a promotion of the latest song, popularity, and debut of new artists. "I'm so tired and I just want to sleep now. Trying others will waste my precious three hours of sleep. At three o'clock I have to go to Japan for photo shoots and commercials. Please come here," said Baekhyun in a hoarse voice and he laid himself on the bed.

"alright. I'm going there now."

The connection was cut off and Baekhyun again spread his body, spread his arms wide and tried to close his eyes again. Really, he was tired and hated why insomnia now back attack him? Wouldn't it be easier to sleep?

When he closed his eyes, a shadow flashed in the darkness.

"How are you, Sohyun?" baekhyun. The girl's face was clearly visible in her head.

"I miss you" he murmured again.

Baekhyun opened his eyes again and suddenly he wanted to write a letter to Sohyun. He wanted to send a letter with a concert ticket in it. Not yet printed, but Baekhyun wrote the letter first. For a long time the man was pensive because there was so much he wanted to say, but could not just be written with words. After ten minutes, the letter was finished, and Baekhyun laid down his body again while hugging the little letter, while waiting for Lay.

"Baekhy! I'm sorry I'm late because there's business"

Lay sighed, between annoyance and relief. Baekhyun fell asleep soundly while hugging a letter in his hand that he held himself. He thought Baekhyun would whine about taking the medicine tonight, but he didn't. On the other hand, Lay was grateful. The man slowly picked up the letter and read it at a glance. Lay smiled, and placed the letter on the nightstand.

"I think Sohyun is indeed a medicine for you at all times, Baek." Lay smiled, put some supplements and vitamins on Baekhyun's nightstand to go to Japan later, then left the room quietly.

It's been a week. Baekhyun's activities were still the same as before. More and more people are asking Baekhyun to be a shooting model, and he does it together with Yuri. Both men attracted the attention of the public.

Yuri and Baekhyun himself are actually ordinary, even impressed not to take care of each other's affairs.

At night, Baekhyun was a little happy because he could rest in peace, and he sent a message to Sohyun, and the girl replied to him not long later. Just for a moment he let go of longing with Sohyun through the words, Manager Yoo came into his room with a slightly panicked face.

"What's up, Manager Yoo?"

"Yuri's missing, Baek. Though soon he will fill the television show," said Manager Yoo.

Baekhyun was silent, but did not give an exaggerated response. He was waiting for the next sentence from his manager.

"Chairman Lee asked you to look for him,..." Manager Yoo seems to want to continue, but it feels funny.

"Continue" said Baekhyun calmly.

Manager Yoo sighed, "This will be a stepping stone for her, making news of you guys dating secretly."

Baekhyun smiled faintly, "It's not your fault, Manager Yoo."

The man then got up from his position after sending a message to Sohyun.

Baekhyun thought about why Yuri had just disappeared. The entire staff of his agency frantically searched for Yuri to tour almost the entire Gangnam area. Baekhyun went alone to the hospital where Yuri's father was treated. Do the agency people not know about Yuri's father? 

Dressed in covered clothing, Baekhyun entered the hospital by himself and asked Yuri's father who was the patient. When he found out, Baekhyun went to the room, but nothing. There was only a man with a hose that he felt was a life aid from the man. The conditions are quite alarming. The man's body was very thin. Baekhyun sighed then went to look for Yuri in this hospital.

He felt that Yuri was just like him, and the other artists.

If they are distressed by the problems they are facing, what will probably be done?

Out of nowhere, Baekhyun headed straight for the hospital roof that could be accessed by anyone. He was sure, Yuri was alone there. And it's true. In the corner of the exposed part of the roof, he saw Yuri, and a few small puffs of smoke were flying near Yuri's body. The girl turned her back and looked at the view from the roof.

Baekhyun walked over unnoticed by the girl, and his eyes were quite surprised to see what was tucked between the girl's fingers.

"You smoke, huh?"

Yuri flinched and almost fell out of her chair.

"You! What are you doing here!" yuri was surprised. In a hurry, the girl turned off her cigarette.

"Everyone in the agency is looking for you because you disappeared, Min Yuri. What do you mean do this?" ask Baekhyun flatly.

Yuri smiled cynically, "What are they looking for me for? I told you I don't want to fill out a television show today!"

The girl looked at Baekhyun sharply, "I knew you'd be my partner in public manipulation, but could you not meddle too much in my affairs, huh?"

Baekhyun smiled slanted, "I'm here because I told the madman to. This was the right stepping stone to carry out his plan."

The girl chuckled with a tone filled with anger and sadness.

"Regardless of what you think and what boundaries you ask for, I remain your senior. The other people who are looking at you now will probably be just like me now. And again, you're a woman. Not worth smoking. It can ruin your health" Baekhyun said. His gaze softened.

Yes, Baekhyun did not lie. Yuri is his junior now and as a co-worker, though he has to reprimand the girl if she is guilty, like a senior. He used to feel the same way, so he had to do that too.

"Leave me alone" said Yuri.

Baekhyun did not heed Yuri's request, and the man instead sat down on the chair next to Yuri.

"Tell me what makes you feel this way. I'll wait for you to finish, and after that you'll have to go back to the agency. They'd be very upset if you didn't come back because you'd be filling out a television show."

Yuri looked at Baekyun slowly, and for some reason, she was happy. Yuri was glad that this time someone cared about her.

The Byun Baekhyun whom he knew was a cold and seemingly indifferent person. He is a slightly arrogant artist because smiling is rare when there are fans. But everything changed a little because Yuri already knew Baekhyun. A man who is willing to protect his lover and help her, sacrificing the feelings of even her fame.

Yuri knows, after this his life and Baekhyun will not calm down because tonight they have to make a scandal.

"There'll be a stalker taking pictures of us later. I hope you can act well" Yuri said.

Baekhyun smiled, "Don't underestimate your senior, Yuri. I'm more experienced than you."

Baekhyun sighed as Manager Yoo pointed out one of the articles to him. Her and Yuri's photos are all over the internet now. Baekhyun accidentally takes Min Yuri with him because the girl almost becomes a tantrum of Baekhyun fans who caught them out of the hospital at that time.

"Can you explain to me what this means?" asked Manager Yoo impatiently. The title of the article states that they are dating.

Baekhyun was silent, and chose to read his morning newspaper in the middle room of his apartment.

"Are you and Yuri dating?" manager Yoo asked in surprise.

Silence meant yes, and Sangjin immediately sighed violently.

"What about Sohyun? Don't you love that girl?"

Baekhyun turned his gaze away from the newspaper, and now looked at his manager.

"As you already know, Manager Yoo. This is all I'm doing for her, Manager Yoo. I need to get away from her" Baekhyun said.

"I don't understand what you're planning. I thought you weren't going to look for Yuri that night," said Manager Yoo, "But I promised you what you asked for at the airport."

Baekhyun smiled with relief hearing Manager Yoo say so. But in his heart, he himself felt hurt. He believes now, on November 10, 2017, Sohyun must have seen the news.

He also felt strange lately, Yuri was being very kind and considerate with Baekhyun for some reason. Though he treats Yuri just plain, and honestly he feels uncomfortable. Various speculations sprung up in Baekhyun's head.

The night had come now and Baekhyun was planning to relax tonight. He opened his phone and saw his last message with Sohyun. The girl never sent him a message again. Honestly Baekhyun now feels guilty, he also never paid attention to his girl again because of his busyness. Now, with the news on the internet, Baekhyun believes it will make things worse.

Suddenly a call came in and Baekhyun answered it.

"Sohyun is already in Korea now. We just met."

Baekhyun's heart beat hard and he jumped from his seat. Really, she was happy that the girl went to Korea to watch her concert later.

"Really?!" exclaim Baekhyun happy.

"Eoh. But, there are some things I should ask you," Lay said in a serious tone down the other end.

"What does this article mean on the internet? I just found out now."

Baekhyun's smile faded, he lost his words.

"Take me, Baek. Explain to me what's going on with you lately?"

Baekhyun sighed. He thinks this time he should tell Lay.

"Meet me at the dorm now. Invite the others if you want them to know, too," Baekhyun said.

The five of them are now gathered in the central room of the apartment, or commonly called the dormitory by Baekhyun. Manager Yoo allowed them to gather tonight because Baekhyun's schedule is empty for tomorrow. The atmosphere was silent and Baekhyun looked nervous.

"Well, now tell us," Chanyeol said with Baekhyun's intimidating eyes. To be honest, Park's man was already upset with Baekhyun for keeping secrets from them.

"Is the article true, you and Yuri are dating?" ask Sehun.

Baekhyun silenced, making Lay snort annoyed. The handsome man's eyebrows almost met. If it's like this, they all choose to be quiet because Lay is very creepy if angry.

"What's wrong with you, Baekhyun?! Why didn't you tell us anything?! You don't know how Sohyun felt when he read that article!" exclaim Lay annoyed.

"I have a reason, Lay," replied Baekhyun.

"Explain now!"

"Hey, Lay, be patient. Baekhyun needs time. You can't force it like that" Kyungsoo said.

Baekhyun gulped, trying to bury his nervousness.

"This is a public manipulation Hangeum has done. The man tried to raise my popularity by having me go out with Yuri" said Baekhyun, to the surprise of his four friends.

"Well, I didn't think your boss was crazy, Baek," Chanyeol muttered. He glanced at Lay whose face was now as hard as a statue.

Lay was about to run over Baekhyun's agency chief if Baekhyun didn't hold the man's arm.

"Don't do anything, Lay. It has to do with Sohyun. If until I don't follow the madman's will, Sohyun is threatened."

Lay looked at Baekhyun completely wrongly, and honestly he was angry. Sohyun already considered his own little sister and this matter was related to the girl. Lay sat back while holding back his emotions.

"I knew it would be like this if I told you. I think I can handle it alone," Baekhyun said.

"Ah, you fool," Sehun chirped flatly. The man leaned his body on the sofa, "Baek, what would it be like if your life was a doll? Regulated by someone else and you can't do what you want."

"I did this all for Sohyun's sake" Baekhyun said, not accepting that he was being said to be stupid.

"What's wrong with you telling us, Baek? Who do you think we are? Sohyun is also our friend and he is as valuable as you are. We will not allow your life, and the state of Sohyun, to deteriorate!

"Why do I say you're like a doll? Because you chose to be silent and let that guy play you!"

Sehun ignited emotions. The man was not as usual this time. Sehun whom Baekhyun knew was a person who was relaxed in the face of a problem. Sehun is also a person who seems indifferent and not easily ignited his emotions. Byun's man smiled, only this time he realized that Sehun if angry would be this funny.

"I agree with Sehun. It would be easier to solve a problem if you tell us, Baek." Chanyeol this time. The man looks more normal if serious. Chanyeol is usually never more serious than this.

"Thank you" Baekhyun said with a smile.

"So, what should we do to solve this problem?" ask Kyungsoo. The man glanced at Lay who looked silent now.

Lay looked at Baekhyun who was now staring at him.

"Do you really love Sohyun, Baek?" ask Lay. Chanyeol, Sehun and Kyungsoo glanced at Baekhyun. They are quite sensitive to the man surnamed Byun even though he was not told the slightest about his feelings.

Baekhyun nodded.

"I'd be willing to give up all my career if it protected Sohyun" Baekhyun said.
