Chapter 12 [Baekhyun's Eyes 2]

Baekhyun averted his eyes from Sohyun when he heard a man calling the girl with his international call. The man was quite old, five years older than himself and Sohyun. The man sighed then left Sohyun and the caucasian-faced man was talking. He followed the five men who were at the food booth.

"Hey, Baek! Try this food so good. I've bought some for the return trip" Chanyeol said with a happy face showing off cookies sold at the food booth.

"Baekhyun, do you know who's with Sohyun?" tanya Taehyung suddenly approached Baekhyun. The man looked at Sohyun curiously, while Baekhyun just shook his head.

"Is that her boyfriend?" said Taehyung again who was immediately nudged by Chanyeol.

"That man is old, when was he Sohyun's lover?" the tall man's comment.

"I don't think he's too old, early thirty maybe. But they seem ordinary. I saw them shake hands earlier. A couple wouldn't do that, would they?" kyungsoo comments this time while holding cookies in hand and chewing some of them.

Taehyung nodded his head. After the man left, Taehyung approached Sohyun. Baekhyun's eyes did not stare at the two. Without realizing it he noticed Taehyung's movements that look childish.

"They both look good, don't they?" muttered Lay to Baekhyun. The man felt caught off guard and immediately turned his face away. While Lay just smiled at Baekhyun's behavior.

Sohyun and Taehyung are now approaching them and tasting the cakes in the booth. Because they were not full, they decided to eat first in one of the restaurants. The aroma of the roast meat instantly made Baekhyun feel hungry. He was quite excited to eat meat today. After ordering food and waiting by hearing the conversation of his friends, the ordered food came.

A small surprise for Baekhyun because he just found out Sohyun's work which turned out to be a writer. Sohyun's arrival to London was to look for ideas in his writing. The books Sohyun mentioned were interesting and Baekhyun had read them in the library while in Seoul. A little stunned because he just realized the name of the author in the book he read.

"Luminati, Jack Browns in The Darkness, and Hologram" Sohyun said.

"Whoah! Did you write that novel? I read a novel called Hologram! Wow that's so exciting!" taehyung comments with passion.

"Why don't you recognize me who wrote it?"

"Because the author's name in the book is Sarah Kim!"

"That's his international name."

Baekhyun's activities stopped because now all eyes were on him with a look of amazement and surprise. Yes, Baekhyun also realized that from earlier he was just silent and observing without intending to comment. Suddenly he commented on the girl's international name.

"Oh, Baek! How do you know that's his international name?" ask Kyungsoo.

Baekhyun wanted to answer that he had read all three books, but he said so.

"He introduced himself like that to me when he first met," replied Baekhyun finally, who unfortunately made Chanyeol and Sehun look ria and glanced at him with a nosy look. Honestly he became nervous because of it, but he tried to look ordinary.

The conversation at the dinner table made Baekhyun bored. He also stood up to be alone and avoid conversations that were not important to him. Even more so when he saw Sohyun and Taehyung's interaction.

"Hey, where are you going?" chanyeol asked as Baekhyun stood up. Baekhyun himself slightly ignored Chanyeol's question and walked out.

"Find the wind." The man finally answered and left the place to eat. He took a small walk and saw small hills that tempted his feet to step there. At the top of the hill there is a fairly large tree with leaves that start yellowing and slightly reddening. It looks beautiful interspersed with views around the hill which is houses, churches, and a small flowing river.

While walking, Baekhyun now realized that there was someone other than himself walking here. Baekhyun turned his head back and found Sohyun who was now walking behind him while taking pictures. The girl did not know that Baekhyun had already seen her.

"What are you doing here?"

Sohyun was surprised and looked at Baekhyun with his big eyes. A second later, the girl scowled in embarrassment of being caught off guard having followed Baekhyun.

"Just take good photos" he replied.

"Should you follow me too?" baekhyun asked with his flat face. I don't know, that's the only attitude he always showed Sohyun.

"of course! I was afraid that this time you would faint and roll down from the hill and end up in that river," replied the girl again who made Baekhyun shudder a little. The girl had a horrible thought. Yes, all three novels are mystery and romantic.

"I think you want to write a murder novel?" baekhyun asked and walked back to Sohyun.

"Yes! I want to move on there. But I'm on a romantic novel!"

"I didn't ask you about that."

Baekhyun slightly smiled as he glanced at Sohyun's bent face. The girl slightly advanced her lips with a very cute annoyed facial expression. Making Sohyun put on such a face was a bit of fun for Baekhyun right now.

Arriving at the top, Baekhyun decided to draw a beautiful scene in front of him. With a sketchbook and pencil he carried in his bag, he began to draw.

"Can you draw?!" sohyun asked while sitting next to Baekhyun. The man did not feel bothered but also did not answer what Sohyun said. He looked back, then focused on the picture. Baekhyun slowly glanced at Sohyun's face which now looked thoughtful. The man now speculates that Sohyun knows how things are going. He thought Lay was telling of his depressed state because of his work.

"I can only do it now" Baekhyun said as he looked at Sohyun's expressive face.

"You're psychic?!"

"Your face shows you all the contents of your head."

"Why can you do it now?"

Baekhyun now told his circumstances briefly. His distress during this time was actually not only because of work but because of a girl named Jung Hyerin. But Baekhyun slightly wished Sohyun did not know his past. Ah. no. He hopes Sohyun doesn't hate him if the girl knows his past. The accident that occurred one year ago made him have the same haters as many fans.

Sohyun nodded his head and turned his face. Baekhyun was now a little happy because this was the first time he had observed Sohyun's face closely. The girl's face was round, with large eyes, a sharp nose, and slightly pink lips. Wavy brown hair draped with bangs adorned his face, making Sohyun look sweet. And Baekhyun only realized that now.

"I'll take you for a walk later! How's it?!" invite Sohyun look excited this time.

"I don't want to go out with you anymore" replied Baekhyun.

"Why don't you want to hang out with me again, eoh?"

"Because you're noisy."

"Whispering?!" sohyun exclaimed in a tone rising by an octave, making Baekhyun a little surprised by the girl's voice.

"Yes. You're noisy. Now you are like that" replied Baekhyun again.

The man smiled again as he left Sohyun who was still in an upset mode. Once again, Sohyun's pouting face like that was a pleasant thing for Baekhyun.

The night greeted and they headed home to London. Their journey is now from Sheffield to London. They had been on the road for an hour and almost all of them had fallen asleep on the train tired. Baekhyun himself was tired, but he could not fall asleep. He just stared at the scenery outside the window with shining street lights following the city buildings that began to be seen.

Baekhyun felt watched this time and he turned to his seat and found Sohyun who was now looking at him. The girl quickly turned her face away with a sullen face and flushed cheeks. Unknowingly Baekhyun now snorted and smiled at Sohyun's behavior. He looked back at the night view. He thanked Sohyun for making him happy today.

"Baek, what do you want to eat?" kyungsoo asked while looking at the contents of the refrigerator at Baekhyun's house.

"Whatever," Baekhyun replied briefly. The man was enjoying a can of beer and reading a magazine in the living room.

"Ah, there is less food. I'd better buy it first" Kyungsoo said, grabbing his coat hung near the living room. Shortly afterwards down the other three friends in neat clothes.

"Where are you going?" ask Kyungsoo.

"We'd like to take a look at the cafe nearby. Sehun whines for coffee and Lay is lazy to make it" Chanyeol said.

"Ah, then I'll come with you. All of you want to buy groceries" said Kyungsoo.

"Hey, Baek. It was the bule man yesterday who met Sohyun at the festival," Sehun said glancing at Sohyun's house that opened his door. They seem to be talking there.

Baekhyun did not care much and then he resumed his activities.

"Baek, I just realized that Sohyun is very beautiful! Her body is also good," Chanyeol said smiling while pretending to imagine Sohyun. Baekhyun slowly turned his head towards Chanyeol with a slight surprise. The man put on his perverted face.

"You're right, Chanyeol. That girl is so beautiful and attractive. Uniquely, his cheeks always blush if he meets me. Does Sohyun like me?" sehun said this time.

"Hey, stop talking. Later Baekhyun gets angry if you approach his girl this time," Lay said with a smile.

Baekhyun now sighed and intended to leave the living room and ignore the words of his friends who were crazy and insignificant. But Kyungsoo's next words make Baekhyun right up the apoplexy now.

Dinner today was so bad and messed up. Just now Baekhyun was happy with Sohyun's presence for dinner together, but because of the talk about kimchi, everything was messed up.

"Because of Hyerin?" ask Chanyeol.

Baekhyun. His emotions started to get out of control this time. The thought of a fight and an accident a year ago now made her feel bad.

"Could you not mention that name again here?"

"Hey, I-I"

"I'm full already." Baekhyun stood up and placed his coarse cutlery on the table, leaving awkwardness on the dining table. He went into his room and suddenly his head hurt. For a few days he slept well and never had a headache again. But now it happened again, just because the name Jung Hyerin called again. Baekhyun could not deny the feeling was still there even though he wanted to forget the girl.

"Baekhy! Open door!"

Baekhyun was aghast as Sohyun's voice was heard again and he knocked on the door of his room. The man had no intention of meeting Sohyun given his current bad state.

"Let me talk for a minute. I have something to say!"

Baekhyun opened the door while enduring the pain in his head. Sohyun himself was surprised at his situation.

"You all right?"

"Just tell me what you want to talk about. After that you can go home" said Baekhyun. He wanted to quickly end this conversation because he wanted to rest and calm his mind.

"I want to take you for a walk tomorrow. I'd like to take you to the cattle ranch in Edensor."

Baekhyun's heart skipped a beat as he ventured to attach his earphones to Sohyun's ears. I don't know for what reason he dared to do that and invite the girl to listen to the song. His heart warmed, as if he had shared the feelings of the song he had listened to. The song was indeed Baekhyun who sang it. The reason why the man keeps his own album is because he wants to master his emotions again when he sings, considering he chose a leave of absence for a year, or at the earliest a few months.

Baekhyun enjoyed Sohyun's face up close quietly. The girl just stared straight at her laptop while listening to a song. His face looked serious, but the man realized that Sohyun himself was nervous, just like him.

Arriving at Edensor, Sohyun eagerly invites Baekhyun to Chatsworth House. It is so beautiful because it is in the shape of a palace. Baekhyun likes it but he tries to control himself to look ordinary. In contrast to Sohyun who does display the expression as it is.

All their activities went on and in fact Baekhyun was tired. But seeing Sohyun's happy face, he was also happy. Baekhyun often smiled even though Sohyun did not see him. Finally after three hours of touring and enjoying the farm that Sohyun wanted, they again enjoyed the view on the garden hill. With large trees around it makes the place more shady.

After eating, Baekhyun is now interested again in drawing. He pulled out his picture book.

"Do you like to travel today?" sohyun asked, breaking the silence between them.

"It's quite tiring" Baekhyun replied as he focused on the image. He quietly glanced back at Sohyun. Aigoo... Baekhyun when he only spoke like that, Sohyun's face was pouting as usual. That girl is so sweet.

"But I like it," Baekhyun replied again this time turning his gaze towards the front, glaring at the beautiful scenery.

"I haven't been traveling like this for a long time. The trip to Edensor yesterday was also fun," Baekhyun continued.

Slowly the man turned his head and looked at Sohyun. The girl herself was now stunned looking at him with her big beautiful brown eyes.

"Thank you." Baekhyun said it sincerely and he did not lie about it.

He drew again but this time the silence between them was more meaningful. And Baekhyun liked it.

"Baek, how are you?" ask Lay from the phone. Baekhyun who was lying down that afternoon breathed.

"I'm fine you don't have to worry" Baekhyun replied.

"Ah. How was your trip with Sohyun yesterday? Pleasant?"

"Yes that's it. I had a new experience yesterday" Baekhyun replied again. He himself now smiles because he imagines their activities yesterday.

"Goodoo. Sohyun did his job well."

Baekhyun's smile faded and his forehead was now wrinkled.

"Running the job well? What does that mean, Lay?"

Long silence on the other end of the phone. Baekhyun now felt bad. There was an uneasy feeling because it seemed like Lay was hiding something from him, even more so it was about Sohyun.

"Ah.no. It's nothing,"

"My answer is what's going on between you and Sohyun! I'm not stupid, Lay!" exclaimed Baekhyun annoyed. This time he was out of position before.

"God..."

"Take me now,"

There was a heavy sigh from across the street, "I asked Sohyun for help in relieving your depression, Baek."

Baekhyun. He doesn't know what to do now. His feelings were not out of order, but clearly a feeling of disappointment lingered in his heart.

"So Sohyun's been nice to me not because of his own wishes, but because you asked him for help?" ask Baekhyun.

Baekhyun immediately turned off his phone connection. He is angry and disappointed now. He is happy when Sohyun always cares about him. Thinking of her who had just been happy because their togetherness yesterday made her feel stupid now. All the speculation popping up in his head made him depressed again today.
