Chapter 18 [Baekhyun's Eyes 3]

"What's up this time, huh? You want to move to Canada now?"

Baekhyun just kept quiet and enjoyed the view on the road to the Heatdrow international airport. Not at all concerned with the words of the man who was now grunting annoyed.

"When do you want to go back to Korea?"

The blonde haired man was still silent.

"Hey, am I talking to a statue right now? You asked me to take care of your needs, but you didn't even consider me? This is how you thank me, huh?"

Baekhyun finally turned to the man with his lazy gaze. It struck him a little in his heart that he regretted asking Manager Yoo for help.

"I don't know when I'm going back to Korea. There are some things I have to do in Canada" Baekhyun replied.

"Is it because of that girl?" sangjin asked while glancing at Baekhyun. He sighed after Baekhyun again did not give an answer that means 'yes'.

"Your news with the girl has been spread on social media. I'm afraid this will upset your reputation. Many scandals have been circulating that you are vacuumed for having a relationship with a girl. You're not afraid of this?" ask Sangjin again.

"Can you go faster, Manager Yoo? I want to get to the airport quickly and go to Canada." 

The four-headed man sighed. He had known Baekhyun for five years and he had been a public figure. His attitude like this showed that Baekhyun was being lazy to talk to with such a conversation topic.

Baekhyun rubbed a soft cream-colored scarf that coiled around his neck. The scarf Sohyun gave in a non-wearing manner. Still, Baekhyun still wears this scarf. Little did he wish that he wanted to be able to meet Sohyun back.

"This is your new apartment. As you wish, this is the apartment closest to the Gread Read printing house." Sangjin helps Baekhyun carry the bag and suitcase into the apartment. Baekhyun nodded his head.

"Thank you, Manager Yoo," Baekhyun said as Sangjin finished helping with Baekhyun's move.

"You can thank me by singing again later. Then I say goodbye first. Don't let Chairman Lee know you're moving here. The guy only knows you're in London. So, happy holidays."

Sangjin patted Baekhyun's shoulder gently and went out of the apartment. Baekhyun smiled knot. Although Manager Yoo is a person who likes to talk a lot and nag, but actually the man is a very caring and good figure. Baekhyun opened the window curtain that was in the middle room. It was eight o'clock in the morning in Canada. He could see the publishing house that was the purpose of moving here.

Suddenly his phone shook and a call came in.

"Hello?"

"Baekhy! Are you in Canada now?!" the exclaiming of a girl from across there made Baekhyun have to keep his ears away.

"Can you not call me in that voice, Hye?"

Hyesung's voice laughed across the street, "Ah, I'm sorry. I'm just surprised that your manager just called me."

Yes, Sangjin was quite familiar with the Baekhyun family and the man remembered that Baekhyun had a cousin who had only been living in Canada for a few months. At least by informing Hyesung, the man calmed down because someone helped him keep an eye on Baekhyun.

"Like that," Baekhyun replied briefly.

"I hear you're having a case with a girl, is that true?" hyesung asked again which made Baekhyun sigh. Why does everyone say that it is a case? Is it wrong that he has business with a woman?

"Why indeed?" ask Baekhyun ketus.

"Well, don't you get mad like that at me. Then why did you move to Canada after he said he wanted to stay in London for a few months?"

"I want to meet the girl because she lives in Canada" replied Baekhyun who made Hyesung cough across the street.

"Are you serious, man?"

"Sup to you. If there's nothing important, I'm closed,"

"Wait!" hyesung. The girl seemed to have not been content to ask about Baekhyun's affairs.

"Why again?" baekhyun asked, getting lazy.

"You want to tell me about that girl? How about you take her to eat at my cafe here?"

That one word managed to infiltrate Baekhyun's heart.

He missed Sohyun when he had not met for a day.

Bizarrely.

That's what Baekhyun felt.

The man only wanted to apologize to Sohyun for misunderstanding and hurting the girl. But that strange feeling bravely changed Baekhyun's purpose here. Not just to apologize, but also to meet Sohyun. If he could, he wanted to stay here longer in order to meet Sohyun every day.

For two days he stayed there and every morning, he kept an eye on the building, hoping he would see Sohyun enter the building and he could meet the girl. And on the third day, as he was about to cook something in the kitchen, he saw Sohyun coming out of the building. Baekhyun's eyes widened in surprise and delight so he left the materials he had prepared on the table and walked out of the apartment to follow Sohyun.

First he arrives at a cafe not too far from Sohyun's workplace. A little surprised because Baekhyun saw Helena there. It was in Baekhyun's mind to approach them. But that intention he paused because surely Sohyun would be very angry and their meeting became not wearing. With a heavy heart, Baekhyun ended up waiting for them and continued to follow the two girls wherever they went.

Baekhyun was tired, really. He hasn't eaten anything since morning until now. However he could not leave as this was his chance to meet Sohyun. Due to his carelessness that almost fell due to tripping over his own legs, the man was almost caught off guard by Sohyun who was now looking at him. Quickly the man walked in the other direction that led to the selling places there.

"Stupid, you almost got caught red-handed!" baekhyun grumbled as his two diamonds had already gone away.

The final point of Sohyun and Helena's meeting is Queen's Park. Baekhyun was quite stunned by the far more colorful views of Toronto than in London. This time, however, he had to keep watching both. Helena finally came home and left Sohyun alone in the park. The state of the park is also a little quiet because the sky begins to look cloudy.

She's nervous. What should he do if he meets Sohyun directly.

Ah...

Nope.

How would the girl react if the one who met Baekhyun. Moreover, the girl was already injured because of Baekhyun.

Finally, Baekhyun emboldened himself to walk over to Sohyun. The girl looked surprised and tried to calm herself down. Baekhyun smiled faintly when he saw Sohyun was suggesting to himself that Baekhyun was an illusion. The man finally ventured to approach Sohyun. Their eyes met when Baekhyun stopped stepping right in front of the girl.

"You're not hallucinating, Sohyun. I'm here" said Baekhyun.

"You..."

"I'm here to see you" said Baekhyun again.

The girl's face turned irritated and angry.

"For what? Don't you hate me? Why do you want to meet me? You want to scold me again, huh?!"

Baekhyun cursed himself now. He felt guilty for his own stupidity. The face of the girl he was longing for now looked unsightly, making Baekhyun grimace silently. He could only mutely face Sohyun who was still emotional now.

"If there's no excuse, you better not see me again. Because I have no reason to see you again," Sohyun said making Baekhyun's heart beat fast. It hurts to hear Sohyun's words that hate him so much. Ah... is this what Sohyun felt yesterday when Baekhyun was angry with him?

"I had a reason when I came here" Baekhyun said as Sohyun walked away. He turned himself to face Sohyun and smiled faintly when he saw the girl also turning towards him. It was time for him to tell Sohyun how he felt.

"... because I miss you."

Sohyun smiled as he snorted when he heard Baekhyun's confession, making the man's confidence slightly collapse.

"Don't joke around" Sohyun replied.

"Is my coming here a joke?" ask Baekhyun. Not a second did his eyes drift from Sohyun's face.

"You don't have a job, huh, until you have to follow me to Toronto?"

"It doesn't exist because I'm still on vacation."

"Stop following me, Mister!" sohyun exclaimed with a sharp look towards Baekhyun. The one who got by was silent and when Sohyun walked back, the man followed back. There are several reasons Baekhyun must follow Sohyun, even more so if Sohyun returns home. Baekhyun secretly grumbled why he could forget to charge his phone.

"Sir, why do you keep following me, huh? You can take a cab back to where you live, right?" sohyun said again with an annoyed tone that did not diminish in the slightest.

Here's the problem.

"I forgot the way back to the apartment," Baekhyun replied which made Sohyun's eyes widen in surprise.

"So how did you get to this park, huh?!"

Baekhyun was confused as to what to answer. As soon as possible he tried to find an excuse not to be considered more annoying by Sohyun. But no matter how hard he tried to think, there was no right answer at all perched in his head.

"What's? Why did you avoid eye contact with me?" ask Sohyun again.

Baekhyun cursed at himself who could not find the right answer. Finally, he was forced to tell the truth and made Sohyun gaped with a look of disbelief. The girl sighed violently then pinched the base of her nose.

"Why can you follow me?" asked Sohyun who was a little angry.

"My current residence is close to your workplace. When I came out of the apartment, I could see you coming out of there. I will follow you because I want to see you" replied Baekhyun.

"You're a stalker?!" said Sohyun who was increasingly surprised by Baekhyun's unpredictable magical level.

Baekhyun thought for a while, and a minute later, flashed in his head an answer that would probably make Sohyun melt.

"If it's related to you, I think it is" Baekhyun replied. But it seemed that the answer did not succeed in lowering Sohyun's frustration again, "I know your place of work from the novel that Taehyung brought back at that time."

Sohyun did not seem to want to talk much more with Baekhyun and intended to leave the man again. But no matter what the wind, Baekhyun now boldly grabbed the hand of the upset girl and pulled her into Baekhyun's arms. Baekhyun's heart beat twice as fast as inhaling the rose-tinted perfume from Sohyun's body. Hopefully, the girl doesn't feel it.

"I'm sorry, Sohyun," said Baekhyun, "I know I was wrong. I'm sorry I hurt you. I really messed up that time because I was depressed. Everyone hates me and doesn't know what's really going on about me, making me forget myself because of emotions and say that to you. You're a person who means something to me. Don't hate me, Sohyun."

Baekhyun loved Sohyun's hand.

The soft and warm hand always held her hand first. The resulting skinship caused Baekhyun's heart to beat. Of course because it's happy. No matter what the scientific explanation is, Baekhyun himself has not realized it. He thinks that he just doesn't want Sohyun to be mad at him because the girl is a friend who understands him other than his four crazy friends who are now in Korea.

The rain in Toronto is heavy. Fortunately, Baekhyun brought an umbrella this time.

Baekhyun and Sohyun now walk side by side under umbrellas and the heavy rain is still pouring down Toronto. Baekhyun tilted the little umbrella he brought sohyun did not get wet because the umbrella Baekhyun found in the apartment was not too big.

"Hey, are you okay? Your shoulder's wet. Don't point the umbrella at me too much, you also need to protect your body," Sohyun said making Baekhyun glance at the girl. He himself does not mind his body that is wet with rain water as long as Sohyun is not wet.

"I'm fine."

"But I feel bad, Baek! You can get sick from this cold weather" Sohyun said.

Ah...

Once again, once again,

Baekhyun also liked that Sohyun called him that way. Although only his close friends and family could call him that, for some reason he also liked Sohyun very much calling him that, rather than calling him with the frills of 'Master' which clearly limited them.

"Alright," replied Baekhyun who had no other choice but to embrace the girl approaching towards him so as not to be exposed to rain. Along the way he himself also did not focus on listening to Sohyun's explanation of the area there. Baekhyun focused more on controlling his heartbeat which was getting faster and faster.

Baekhyun looked at the long-haired girl from behind the window that connected the dining area and kitchen of the cafe. The girl seemed to be smiling happily when she saw Baekhyun was now right in front of her own eyes.

"Hey, Baekhyun!" hyesung exclaimed out of the kitchen and ran over to Baekhyun and Sohyun.

"How are you?" baekhyun asked smiling back as Hyesung hugged him. He himself missed his cousin who had an older age of four years.

"I'm good, Baek. I missed you so much!" reply Hyesung. The girl let go of her embrace at Baekhyun and looked at the girl next to Baekhyun. Slowly he raised his eyes.

"Oh, so he?" said Hyesung staring at Sohyun. Sohyun glanced at Baekhyun in surprise and Baekhyun threw his face towards the toilet door that was there.

"I want to go to the toilet first" said Baekhyun then walked away leaving the two of them. Inside the toilet, he washed his face and looked annoyed.

"Why do I have such a shitty cousin?" baekhyun.

After the meal was filled with conversations around women and work that only Baekhyun heard without intending to discuss it as well, Baekhyun and Sohyun returned to their respective places. Sohyun returns to work, and Baekhyun returns to the apartment. Along the way, the two of them did not say much. Baekhyun's steps came to a halt when he saw Sohyun also stopping at one of the bookstores. The girl looked at the window display that was there.

"Do you have goals you want to achieve now?" sohyun asked while looking at the book.

"I already had the ideals I dreamed of, of being a singer. Do you have any other goals besides being a writer?" ask Baekhyun.

The girl nodded her head excitedly then looked at Baekhyun.

"I want to have a lover and travel the world!"

Baekhyun almost laughed at Sohyun's silly words. But he did not have the heart and ended up just showing a surprised face to the girl.

"Why do you want a boyfriend?"

Really, it's actually a stupid question to answer. But seeing Sohyun's face that looked sullen made Baekhyun happy.

"Then why do you want to travel around the world?"

"The world is beautiful, you know? I want to be able to go around the world and tell everything in my work. I would like to invite the reader to feel the beautiful and cheerful world."

Baekhyun was quite impressed by Sohyun's reply.

"I want to be able to realize my dreams and aspirations. I want to be a traveler. You want to help me realize my goals?" sohyun asked Baekhyun. The man was a little confused by Sohyun's words this time.

"How can I help you?" ask Baekhyun.

"Give me some spirit! But before you encourage me, you must encourage yourself first.

"Enhance and happiness, Baek. Your life in this young age will not be repeated twice. Come back and sing and cheer me up with your work. Like walking in a car, just look at the past once. If you're always looking at your rearview car, you'll never see the beautiful road ahead of you."

Baekhyun's heart was deeply touched by what the girl said. Indirectly, Sohyun was now the one cheering him on. There is a sense of wanting to go back to a time where he could sing again like before. Although her trauma and fear were still the same as before, at least this time Baekhyun was more convinced by what Sohyun had said. His little heart promised that he would do what Sohyun asked.

"Excite, Sohyun," said Baekhyun, "Because I will help you make your dream come true."

Sohyun widened his eyes and the look on his face looked very happy.

"REally?!" his excitement pleased, making Baekhyun for the umpteenth time surprised by the absurd behavior of Sohyun.

"I promise I'll help you, but not now. I still need time to be able to sing again" Baekhyun replied again. Sohyun nodded his head small.

"Well, I'll wait for you!" sohyun said then looked at the book on the window, "You want to buy me that book?"

Baekhyun stared at the book, then a nosy idea popped into his head, "No."

The man walked away from Sohyun with a satisfied smile because he managed to make Sohyun upset again. Sohyun's annoyed face was very sweet. And that made Baekhyun even more happy to tease Sohyun.
