Delayed

The drizzle since the morning did not stop, it felt very lazy to just lift the body from the bench where I was sitting even though the break bell had rung.

That day I sat with Aura on the back bench beside the window listening to Diah and Ayu who were busy memorizing the physics formulas, understand one more week we will face an even semester exam. While learning, suddenly a voice sounded

Dimas knocked on the window beside me while shouting

“Woi my girlfriend!”

When I turned her head she laughed and ran after Abas who was walking in front of her, of course my friends in the class laughed at her, some cheering teased me.

Apparently he's back from Jakarta, actually I'm not too surprised if he will do that, I mean Dimas is so, not yet so he's been a prank himself especially after the disaster soan. That's one of the compelling reasons for me to immediately end this misunderstanding. Childish attitude Dimas, if left unchecked then the longer he will be more pronounced.

“It has become more blatant for you,” said Aura teasing me

“Iya, I thought you guys were going to hide,” Ayu added

“I want to break up!” my words shocked three of my friends

“Crazy, which is true you haven't been a week already ask to break up?” said Diah

“Why the Ka? What's the harm in Dimas?” ask Ayu curiously

“Yes anyway break up,” I don't want to give any reason

"Why did we make a scene at that time? We're sorry, but it's not Dimas' fault, why break up?"said Ayu looking annoyed

"You're not fair Ka, just because you're ashamed to keep changing your mind! aren't you considering Dimas' feelings?" Aura added

"You know nothing, it's not about that!" I answered a little angry. I'm upset they judged me without knowing what really happened

"Within stories, what's the point of making friends if we don't tell each other the problems?" diah's words made me look worse. I just kept my head down not knowing how to defend myself.

To be honest I also want to tell everyone that what I like is Abas not Dimas. But I'm not good with Aura, she seems to like Abas too. If I tell you, maybe our friendship will end. Not only that, we sat down one bench how would we behave if Aura knew we liked the same guy?

“It can be said that you have not dated, right you have not met again after that birthday, cook already want to break up?” Aura broke the silence.

If you think it's true, we haven't seen each other since that day. That night Dimas went straight to Jakarta and just returned today.

The moon that night was perfectly round was very beautiful in contrast to my confused heart stringing up words to break up with Dimas. I waited for Dimas long enough, the time was eight o'clock but he didn't come to pick me up.

I'm still waiting in front of the Bu Ida stall looking at the moon. I hope Dimas will be here soon. As I watched the moon, I was suddenly shocked by a familiar voice. Abas, he came with a message from Dimas.

“Seriously? Wah Dimas is cool, the boy never gives up on achieving his dream, may he get what he wants,” I pray sincerely for Dimas. Even though I was irritated and scolded her often I was really proud of her.

“Not so angry?” asked Abas to tease me

“I do not want to just upset, today I want to solve a misunderstanding about the incident in retirement that time” I replied while folding back the letter from Dimas

“You really want to say it? I don't mean I'm afraid Dimas will be mad at me but soon we'll have a class test and Dimas will have to prepare himself for the race in America, I'm afraid it's going to disrupt his concentration,” Abas tried to convince me to delay my decision

I don't know if my decision was right, no one supported me. I also feel that what my friends say has a point. Dimas has been hard at work doing his best. He made a lot of fights for school, now he wants to achieve his dream then how will I be responsible if the dream is destroyed because of me? Maybe I can wait until after the competition.
