CHAPTER 34. ARRESTS

The next day...

At a cafe, Rainbow, Gerald and Devano and their parents Gerald are enjoying lunch together but, not only lunch but also to discuss the case of his parents Rainbow accident.

Today they have decided to arrest his father Silvi who is the main suspect. From the video recording evidence given Devano is very enough to be used as evidence to see the contents of the recording are so clear from the sound and images. And of course it also requires Devano himself to be a witness who heard the plot of the assassination plot.

"Are you really sure you want to testify against your own future in-laws?" Ask Devano.

Meanwhile, papa and mama come to Silvi's orangtunya residence which is certainly surprising to Silvi's father because so long after the cancellation of Silvi and Gerald's engagement, they just met again.

"Well, is there any wind that Mr and Mrs Argantara suddenly come to visit my residence?" Said Mr. Handoko, Silvi's papa. In his haughty style he sat down while shaking one hand around as if to show how spacious the residence was.

Papa and Mama just smiled, without any invitation to sit they both just sat on the sofa opposite the former candidate of his besi, with a style that is no less haughty. Handoko company is large but not yet comparable to the company now managed by Gerald.

"I was surprised by Silvi, she had very rich parents. A beautiful home and a great company. But why choose instead to live in an apartment and become a secretary in someone else's company." Papa.

Making his papa Silvi clenched both hands and stared intently at the two people sitting in front of him.

"So you came here just to insult my son!" Snarled.

Papa and mama even chuckled at the anger on the face of the former candidate for iron.

"Don't talk to you!" Snapped her father Silvi while standing from her seat.

"You two better get out of here, right now!" He pointed at the door.

Coinciding with that, Devano came to make her papa Silvi smile and immediately approached her son-in-law.

"Luckily you came, Dev, now help you get those two out." He said pointing at papa and his mother Gerald.

However, Devano was unmoved, the man pulled the corner of his lips smiling sideways.

"Sorry, Om, I'm not here to obey Om's orders, but to drag Om to the authorities." Devano.

"Dev, what do you mean?"

Devano did not answer, he clapped and soon a few policemen entered with Gerald and Rainbow.

"Sir, he is the one. The man who had planned the accident that Mr. Hanif and his wife had experienced." Devano told the police, pointing at Silvi's father.

Two policemen flanked his father Silvi.

"Sir, this must be wrong, what Devano said is not right."

"You can explain later at the police station." Said one of the policemen then drove his father Silvi's family towards the detention car.

His father Silvi turned to look at Devano sharply, he did not expect that his future son-in-law could stab him in the back. And where did Devano know his plan?

After the police car carrying Silvi's father has passed, Rainbow approaches Devano who continues to stare at the speed of the police car until it moves away.

"Dev, thank you for helping me get justice for my parents." Rainbow Say.

Devano smiled, "No need to thank you, Rainbow. What I'm doing here is nothing for what I've done to you."

The rainbow smiled too. "That's it, Dev, no need to remember the past anymore. I've forgotten it and now I'm happy" she said, looking back at Gerald who seemed to be smiling at her. "And I hope you can change your life for the better. Don't let you repeat the mistake a second time, you understand what I mean, right?"

Devano nodded, he understood what the Rainbow meant and it was about Silvi. However, now that he has concerns in his heart about Silvi, he needs Gerald's help.
