Chand was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief, after the proposal and lunch together was finally finished. The pain in his head was instantly gone, as he stepped out from within the residence of the Gendhis family. Ah, actually Chand doesn't take that too seriously. She was convinced that she would soon change her mind and realize that she had made the wrong decision.
However, what Chand had in mind turned out to be wrong. Kalini actually seems more excited in arranging everything for the wedding later. All the way home, the beautiful widow chirped nonstop. He talks about this and that, though Chand doesn't respond to him in earnest.
“As long as there is time until the wedding later, you and Gendhis can familiarize themselves with each other further. Mama thinks, Gendhis is the open type of girl. So, you certainly will not be too difficult to get to know him further,” said Kalini.
“Indeed, how long have you known Gendhis?” Chand glanced for a moment at the mother, before returning to look ahead. The man tries to stay focused on the steering and traffic they are driving through, amid Kalini's relentless chirping and making his head feel dizzy again.
“No need to take too long to get to know someone. The proof is Mama used to only get acquainted about two weeks with your father. But look at the evidence now. You and Prajna are so tall. Mama's love for you has not disappeared even though she left many years ago,” Kalini said again. “Everything return again to intention.”
“Mama already knows that I have no intention to return home,”, Chand said in response to Kalini's remarks.
“Gosh. You're handsome, Chand. It's a pity that you will only make girls sin, because imagine nothing about you. It would be better if you have.” Kalini remained in her stance who felt right with the matchmaking.
“Who am I to be the center of attention of girls?” Chand clucked slowly. He returned to shudder not understanding. Chand's feelings are more and more unsettled, when accidentally his gaze is fixed on the left ring finger. There, a ring was embedded between him and Gendhis.
“Mama knows it,” concluded Kalini. The conversation between the mother and son ended after Chand's car entered their yard. While om and aunt Chand, go straight home to each other.
Meanwhile, Gendhis also exhaled a sigh of relief. He threw his body on the bed. The twenty-seven-year-old girl then looked at the left ring finger, where there was a ring from Chand. With a smile of her own, the second child of three brothers recalled the extraordinary moment that happened earlier, when the handsome man her future husband put the ring in his fingers.
“Ya, already. So, we've agreed on a matter of time. June 30th, yes,” said Susena reassured the decision that has been mutually agreed.
“Iya. Deal!” sahut Kalini is excited. He took a small box from his handbag. Kalini shows a pair of rings with a simple design, but looks expensive. “We deliberately ordered this from a subscription jewelry store in Jakarta,” explained the bloody widow of India earlier. “Come here, Gendhis.” Kalini hinted for Susena's second daughter to sit next to the lazy-looking Chand. However, inevitably the handsome man must follow the will of the mother. Chand is the type of child who does not like to rebel against parents, especially to his mother.
Kalini then handed the ring to Chand. In the presence of all who were there, the man who was still showing such mysterious attitude was forced to pin the engagement ring on the ring finger of Gendhis. The girl received it with joy and a flowery heart. A wide smile was painted on the beautiful face of Gendhis. Beauty that Chand has not yet fully realized. In recent occasions, Chand has only seen the silliness of the girl who will be his future wife.
The smile on Gendhis's face persisted, even going back to the room while looking at his engagement ring. So excited, Gendhis did not even realize that Susena was already in the room. The widower of three children noticed the happiness of the princess, on top of her pain due to heartbreak. “Dhis,” greet Susena while walking closer to the bed.
Gendhis, who was lying down facing the ceiling of the room, got up and sat down at the end of the bed. “Papa? Since when is it there? There is no sound at all if Papa goes into my room.” Gendhis knitted his brows in ignorance. He noticed the physicality of the father who still looks dashing at his current age.
“How did you know Papa came here, wong from earlier you were busy paying attention to the ring from Chand,” Susena said trying to look ordinary. After all, she might have to compete with her own child in terms of romance. At least, even though the current desire to get married again suddenly appeared just like that, but Susena preferred to put forward Gendhis who had never been married at all. “Why are you wearing that shirt? Is that your grandma's shirt?” ask Susena astonished. He sat next to his daughter.
“I can't possibly wear jeans with a T-shirt ‘kan, Pa?” Gendhis again raised his hand with a finger decorated with a ring from Chand. “I was going to borrow Madam Hanum's shirt, but her shirt is only knee-length. I wasn't ready to squint my ankles in front of Chand,” chirped the girl indifferently.
“According to Papa, have I been thinking mature?” ask gendhis innocently.
“Maturity cannot be measured just like that. Someone who feels that he has grown up, not infrequently do things that are very childish.” Susena clucked slowly. He remembered himself falling in love with Kalini. However, Susena immediately dismissed those thoughts. He looked at Gendoch with great care. Among his other two daughters, Gendhis had the face most similar to his late wife.
“So, how about Hello Girls? You have never told me at all about your work.”
"Oh, that's ... ." Gendhis grimaced in response to the papa's question. "As you know, I work as a photographer there. My job is to photograph cute and sexy guys" he explained lightly.
"God. What kind of magazine is that, Dhis? How about taking pictures of sexy guys?" ask Susena carefully.
"What is clear is not the magazine of flora and fauna, Pa," replied Gendhis origin.
"Want to?"
"Hello Girls is a magazine for women, Pa. Hello Girls comes to meet the thirst of women, both single and double, will be charming male figures" explained Gendhis proudly.
"Ah, papa is curious. Take look? There's an example, isn't there? Papa wants to see what the magazine looks like" Susena asked.
"Before a moment," Gendhis hurriedly got up from his seat, then opened one by one the desk drawers. In the end, she smiled when she found one old Hello Girls magazine. "Nih, Pa," the tomboyish girl then cornered the magazine with a picture of a man wearing only drawstring pants on Susena.
"Yes, God! Dude, Gusti!" susena exclaimed as her hands flipped through the pages of the magazine. "It's a women's magazine!" pekiknya can't believe it.
