Pursuing the Love of the Widower

Pursuing the Love of the Widower
Shadow Chand

It had been a few days since Manggala introduced Gendhis to his parents. The response of the two Manggala parents who were so open and received Gendhis well, really became a happiness in itself. So does Manggala. The long-haired man turned out to really seriously want to disturb the lover.

Manggala deliberately emptied the schedule for a few days, so that he could go to Yogyakarta with Gendhis. “Don't be surprised if my papa rather error yes, Ngga,” chirped Gendhis shortly after the plane they were boarding managed to land smoothly at Adisutjipto Airport.

“Commonly, Dhis. My father seems to be much more error. Coincidentally yesterday he was still imaging. Understandably, the first time to meet with prospective daughters-in-law, must take care of the image as well as possible,” kelakar Manggala interspersed with slow laughter.

“I'm sure, you'll be pulling your words in a moment. Tuh, look,” Gendhis pointed his index finger at a middle-aged man who looked handsome and neat. The man who was none other than Susena was waiting at the entrance area of the arrival terminal while waving his hands excitedly.

“That's your papa?” Manggala also pointed at Susena.

“Iya,” replied Gendhis.

“Now answered already, from where did you get a face as beautiful as this. It turns out that your papa is very handsome, Dhis,” sajung Manggala.

“Ah, can you, Ngga. If you do not seduce, there seems to be less yes you,” instead of happy, Gendhis even grumbled at the words of the lover.

“I'm serious!” Manggala half glared while lifting his two fingers to form the letter ‘V’.

“Halo! His single papa who is not single anymore,” greeting Susena interrupted a small dispute between the two lovebirds.

“Om,” Manggala slightly surprised. He did not expect it when suddenly Susena was already standing before him. “How are you?” greet Manggala politely while kissing the back of the hand of Gendhis's biological father.

“Alhamdulillah good, Son,” reply Susena. His dark iris seriously observed Manggala, from the face to the shoes worn.

“Wah, Dhis. Cool taste. Your new boyfriend is handsome, like papa when he was young,” the man turned to Gendhis who was standing next to Manggala. Not to forget, Susena patted the arm of the boss and the lover of Gendhis.

“Ah, Dad. The same time Chand said that. So, who exactly does papa's face look like, anyway? How to be changeable,” timpal Gendhis.

“Just every handsome guy, must look the same papa,” said Susena jumawa.

Manggala who had just smiled, now could not hold back his laughter.

“Dih, papa shy. Ah, we're home. It's not comfortable. Nought. Hot,” cerocos Gendhis. “Oh, yes. Forgot not to kiss hands,” he said then while reaching for the back of the father's hand.

“Then, we glide now. Hanum and Utari and their respective troops are waiting at home,” Susena said as she directed the lovers towards the parking area.

“Duh, I miss them very much,” said Gandhis who was impatient to meet his two sisters.

“Don't forget. Both of you are waiting for souvenirs typical of Bandung. Papa hope you bring something strange,” reply Susena.

“Yah. If you know that, I will invite Grandma Sri here,” chirped Gendhis.

While on the way, they finally arrived at Susena's residence. The three are immediately greeted by Hanum and Utari. One by one, they took turns to greet and get acquainted with Manggala.

“Mbak, stay in Bandung so add white and cute yes,” flatter Utari. “Liat deh Mbak Anum, Mbak Gendhis really different, right? Not burik kayak some time ago,” babble the youngest of the three brothers.

“Ya, great. There is progress,” Hanum said in response. “Mbak tell you something, Dhis. Bu Wiryo often nanyain you loh.”

“Hah? What yes?” Gendhis.

“Iya. You're using it to say that your future husband died from leaf poisoning at the border. Oh, geez. What kind of reason is that?” Hanum doesn't think.

Meanwhile, Manggala who had sat in the living room, seemed to have a warm conversation with Susena. Every now and then, there was the laughter of the father of three. I don't know what they're discussing, but it has succeeded in provoking curiosity in Gendhis. The girl also joined the two men across ages.

“Seru really,” said Gendhis while sitting next to Susena. He did not care, though Manggala signaled for Gendhis to move nearby. “You guys discuss what the hell?” ask the girl again.

“Bahasan bird, Dhis,” replied Susena lightly.

“Hah? Whose bird?” ask Gendhis again who felt the ambiguous discussion between the father and his lover.

“Birds we both dong. Why discuss birds have people if we have it ourselves,” said Susena. He turned back to Manggala. “Nah, so. So, the bird I have was always bathed slowly, just dried for a while. Don't get me a sweat. If you check, then you will not have children,” said Susena.

“Oh, so must be diligently dried yes, sir? Alright. Tomorrow, I will diligently dry my bird,” reply Manggala responded. What the man said, made Gandhis have to digest more in the conversation of the two men earlier.

“Pa, lunch is ready. Come onl. Pity Gendhis and Manggala must have starved.” Hanum comes to interrupt the chatter of Susena and Manggala.

Susena took Manggala to the dining table. They continued the conversation there. Starting with a light discussion, then continuing on the intention of the arrival of Manggala to meet Susena.

“I came here not only to get acquainted with the Gendhis family, but also to convey something,” said Manggala started a serious conversation with his beloved father. The others listened carefully.

“So, me and Gendhis are already in a relationship. Not too long ago, it could still be counted on the fingers. However, I felt like I found a match with Gendhis. Therefore, I think there is nothing wrong if it continues to a more serious level,” said Manggala with his carriage made as calm as possible, even though his palm felt wet. The man was used to leading meetings and speaking in front of many people. However, he always felt nervous whenever he had to speak seriously in front of his lover's parents. It also happened when Manggala would propose to Ghea.

“That is, Nak Manggala wants a fiance first what is directly married?” susena asked, clarifying Manggala's words.

“I anyway, it's up to Genphis. If he wants, tomorrow also I am ready,” replied Manggala sure. It made Genghis feel so impressed. His hope of releasing the single timeless status, will soon be realized this time.

But suddenly Chand's charming face with his drunken smile was like a bottle of red wine, flashed through Gendhis's eye. The handsome man of Indian blood shook his head, as if forbidding Gendhis from accepting applications from Manggala. Genphis also knitted her brows. Moreover, when he saw Chand raise his index finger to the chest, then move it as a sign of rejection.

“So, how? You want a fiancee first what is marriage, Dhis?” susena asked, looking at her second daughter, who was still pensive.
