Pursuing the Love of the Widower

Pursuing the Love of the Widower
The Edge of the Cliff

“Prajna, thanks, yes,” said Gendhis suddenly.

“Please for what yes, Brother?” Prajna frowned in confusion.

“My life changed thanks to you,” replied Gendhis.

“Means?” prajna's forehead was wrinkled from thinking hard.

“Udah, don't be surprised. Gendhis is so. Another than the others,” sahut Chand who is still in a position carrying Indira, the nephew.

“Say strange, no need to hesitate. You ‘kan have used to demean me, from a long time ago,” timpal Gendhis flat. “Fortunately I am now conscious. Ordinary people demeaning is no better than being demeaned. Worse even,” taunted him while laughing wide.

Chand only smiled wryly in response to Gendhis scathing remark. He chose not to bother and acted as if he had not listened to anything coming out of the girl's lips.

“Ya, already. I'll go back first. See you later, Prajna,” Gendhis grabs Prajna's hand and invites him to shake hands. Not long after, he immediately let go, then passed from there.

“Eh, Brother. Waitaminute! We're going to have a dinner together. Join, yuk,” invite Prajna half exclaimed when the distance between Gendhis and the brothers was quite far.

Gendhis turned towards Prajna. “There's Aunt Kalini, isn't it?” ask from a distance.

“Mama did not come to Bali, Kak,” sahut Prajna.

“Oh, then next time,” reject Gendhis gently while waving his hand. He continued his steps towards the hotel located not far from the beach area.

Arriving in the room, Gendhis immediately moved his photos to the laptop. He started editing photos until his phone rang. “Papa,” muttered Gendhis while reading the name of the contact that was plastered on the screen.

“Halo,” Gendhis immediately received a call coming from Susena.

“Dhis, Manggala is here. He wants to talk to you,” said the father from across there.

“Waduh, want to do it again anyway, Pa. Kan Gendhis has said, do not want to be in touch with him again,” scolded Gendhis while clucking annoyed.

“Papa said that too, Dhis. But he's the tough one. For the last time, said Manggala,” said Susena half persuaded.

“No, Pa,” Gendhis shook his head weakly. “Now Papa hangs up. Don't call until later, Gendhis calls, okay!” hurriedly the girl ended the call and turned off her mobile phone. He was stunned for a long time, before again deciding to edit the photos earlier.

However, Gendhis could not concentrate at all. The beautiful face of Manggala kept dancing in his mind. The smile, attitude, gentleness and everything in Manggala seemed to tempt Gendhis to change his decision. “Yes, geez,” Gendhis ruffled his coarse hair.

He closed the laptop, then moved to lie on the bed. Maybe sleep will calm the heart and mind, so thought Gendhis. However, the estimate is wrong. Until the hour hand showed at eleven o'clock at night, Gendhis could not close his eyes.

Anywhere surrender. Not wanting to force any more sleep, Gendhis inched his way down from the bed. He grabbed a cell phone and rushed out of the hotel room.

Gendhis intended to take a walk to the shore. In the tourist area, the atmosphere at eleven o'clock at night like a big city, there are still many people passing by. At first, Gendhis walked down the sidewalk in front of the hotel and noticed small eating places lined up across the street. There are still many customers.

Gendhis then turned towards the beach. But he did not want to go to the edge. Gendhis took the trail to the rocky precipice on the other side of the beach, then stopped right in front of the guardrail. Gendhis looked at the mobile phone he had been holding, then dismantled it. He took out the sim card from the inside of the phone, then broke it into two pieces.

Gendhis then threw the sim card far away until it floated and fell to the surface of the water, just as a big wave hit. The ocean swallowed the sim card that had accompanied him for a long time, since the time of High School.

“Why not all his hp is thrown away,” chirps someone suddenly, making Gendhis immediately turned his head. He clucked in annoyance after finding out who exactly the owner of the voice was.

“I wonder. Everywhere I meet you. What are you following me, huh? Suspicious of it,” looked at Gendhis eyes full of investigation, he pointed at the dashing man who was now walking closer and then stood beside Gendhis.

The man who was none other than Chand was just smiling calmly. “It just so happened that Prajna's husband took me to a night market not far from here. Unintentionally, I saw you climb the cliff. I'm curious ...”

“What? You think I'm going to kill myself?” cut out Genthis sewot. He snorted in annoyance while putting the phone in the pocket of his jeans.

“I'm not your kayak conglomerate. If you are bored, just throw away hp continue to buy again,” said Gendhis ketus.

“And your salary as a photographer is quite large in the media,” timpal Chand does not want to lose.

“I'm unemployed now! Not working at Manggala place anymore,” said Gendhis slowly, while bowing his head deeply.

“Oh, you are prohibited from working yes, same Manggala? All I know is, he's a little possessive of the couple,” chirped Chand.

“Mangala is never possessive. He was always kind and supportive of everything I did. She is very sweet and never looks at the physical. He said that I was beautiful, when I still could not dance and rarely take a bath,” Gendhis laughed bitterly. Unknowingly, her tears dripped, wetting the corners of her lips.

Lucky it was night. The atmosphere around looked dull. There were only yellow light bulbs installed around the fence, so Chand could not see the cheeks of Gendhis that had been soaked by tears.

“Good,” said Chand. “Manggala is good. He is always sincere to everyone.”

“Can stop talking to him, can't you?” gendhis pinta.

“Oh, sorry,” Chand chuckles softly. He turned his entire body towards Gendhis. “So, when is your wedding?”

Instead of replying, Gendhis glared sharply at Chand. “Udah said don't talk to him!” Gendhis stomped his feet, then left the Indian crossbreed man for granted. But just a few steps, Gendhis suddenly stopped and cried.

Chand, who was about to leave from there, immediately abandoned the intention. He approached Gendhis, then gently patted the girl on the shoulder. “Why are you, Dhis? Are you okay?” ask carefully.

“Nothing. Just want to cry,” elak Gendhis.

“What ... do you want me to accompany?” ask Chand again.

“Nevent gone!” replied Gendhis.

“How about I call Mama?” tawal Chand's. “Mump Mama still hasn't slept.”

Hearing Chand's offer, Gendhis became a little hesitant. Maybe a little storytelling and chatting with Kalini can lighten the burden. “Bby,” breaks up Gendhis in the end.

“OK, wait a minute,” Chand swiped the screen and pressed the mother's contact. After hearing a connecting tone, he handed the mobile phone to Gendhis. “Bring me up. That's a special phone for personal, not business purposes. I'll pick it up tomorrow at the hotel where you're staying. Where are you staying?”

“Ho-hotel Wijaya Kusuma,” replied Gendhis a little nervous. Especially when the phone was connected.

“Halo, why else, Chand?” the sweet sound of Kalini.

“Tante, this is Gendhis,” he said doubtfully.

“Hah, Gendhis?”

Although the half-tomboy girl could not see Kalini's expression, but she could confirm that Chand's mother was surprised not dumbass.
