Gendhis continued to talk with Kalini during his journey. They were indeed very close, even though it was only through a short introduction. Until arriving at the destination, the chat between the two women across the ages was still not over either. It made Chand just shake his head inexplicably.
“Sit, Dhis. Aunty wants to change clothes for a while,” said Kalini. He turned his attention to Chand who was about to pass. “Chand, temenin Gendhis chat a minute.” Without waiting for his son's approval, Kalini immediately departed from the presence of Chand and Gendhis.
Unusually, Chand becomes very obedient to Kalini. Like a buffalo whipped in the nose, the man sat in one of the chairs, not far from where Gendhis was. Meanwhile, Gendhis prefers to busy themselves with mobile phones.
A few minutes passed, they were still silent to each other. There was no conversation between the two. That made Chand feel uncomfortable. He was also astonished, because the attitude of Gendhis seemed indifferent. Unlike before, the girl became even more quiet.
“You changed a lot huh, Dhis,” said Chand opening the conversation.
“Yes? Why?” Gendhis turned his attention from the phone screen to Chand.
“How are your wedding preparations with Manggala?” ask Chand. For some reason, he became very familiar with Gendhis.
“It's about eighty percent. Manggala is busy now. Nirwana Media was again selected to receive the award as the best print and online media company. Proud of you.” Genphis smiled with satisfaction.
Meanwhile, Chand replied with a knotty smile. He knew that Gendhis had deliberately said that in front of him. However, Chand did not want to be affected. “Thank God. I'm happy,” said the handsome man was short. “Indeed, you guys use WO who?” ask Chand again.
“Connected we will do a contract and reception in Yogya, so we use WO from Bandung,” replied Gendhis accordingly. What he said, made Chand immediately frown.
“Manggala be given a recommendation from his friend. He said it was good, although I think a little bit how ya?” Genphis scratched his brows.
“Where does that mean?” ask Chand.
“Entahlah. I used to be less sad as their performance, but not delicious too if I have to refuse,” explained Gendhis.
“Indeed, who do you use WO for? I know some good WO in Bandung.” The chatter between Chand and Gendhis began to look relaxed and comfortable.
“Wawa WO's. Manggala said, that's a good WO. Already accredited B+,” replied Gendhis.
“Kayak aja school, Dhis.” Chand held back his laughter. “Your husband-to-be is healthy right?” asked the man who immediately presented a big question mark in the heart of Gendhis.
“What's really why? What's wrong?” ask the girl curious.
“Wawa WO,” said Chand while wiping his chin. “To know, Wawa WO was often problematic,” murmured.
“What's the problem?” Gendhis leaned towards Chand. He looks curious at once. Do not let this second marriage plan fail by things beyond estimates.
“Ya, Wawa WO often has problems with his clients. Often because the order that turns out not in accordance with the agreement with the client,” explained Chand, “but, I don't think they will dare to mess with Manggala. You know ‘kan what your future husband is like,” he added.
Gendhis tilted his head while thinking. “Indeed, what does my future husband look like?” ask in the heart. “Gondrong, relax, cuek and ...” Gendhis face flushed when he imagined Manggala who often acted mischievously towards him. “Are you sure that there will be no problems if I keep using Wawa WO?” Gendhis put on a serious face while asking Chand for advice.
“You often have meetings, right?” Chand asked back.
“Ya, Manggala who often attended meetings with Wawa,” replied Gendhis doubtful.
“Well, has Manggala ever complained about WO services?” ask Chand again.
“Then, safe, Dhis. Don't think too much. I'm sure if Manggala is reliable,” said Chand calming.
“Oh, so, yes.” Genphis nodded slowly. She tried not to think too deeply about the technical planning of her wedding. However, the curiosity increasingly affects Gendhis, so he secretly contacted Manggala to ask about Wawa WO.
Unlike usual, Manggala did not immediately raise the call of Gendhis until several times the tone continued. Usually Manggala never made Gendhis wait too long. Undeterred, Gendhis tried to contact her future husband again and failed. “Where is it, him? Though it's lunch break,” muttered Gendhis.
“What's the problem?” ask Chand who turned out to be paying attention earlier.
“Ah, no. Just want to call Angga aja,” said Gendhis while grimacing.
“Oh.” Chand mangosteen. “You are so sure of him, yes?”
“That's.” Gendhis was again engrossed in playing the phone, to cover the misgivings caused by Manggala which was suddenly difficult to contact.
Not long after, Kalini came out from the inside of the house with a cheerful smile. The woman who always looked beautiful had changed clothes. “So, how? What are you guys talking about, here?” kalini asked as she sat between Gendhis and Chand.
“Oh, the usual gossip that is not so important, Auntie,” replied Gendhis. For a while, he responded to the chatter and jokes of Kalini that sometimes felt crisp. However, out of respect for his former future father-in-law, Gendhis forced a laugh. Although it sounds stiff.
Without feeling it, two hours have passed. Gendhis had to go back to the hospital, because he had promised to bring the order of his brother and took turns to look after Susena. “Let Chand take you,” bargain Kalini.
“No need, Aunt,” reject Gendhis immediately.
“Nothing. Lagian Chand is also off today,” Kalini insisted while looking back, trying to find the figure of his eldest son who suddenly disappeared since.
“Nothing really, Te. Really.” Genphis also stood up.
“Let me drive, Dhis. I promised,” said Chand. After disappearing, the man appeared suddenly, like a genie doing apparition activities.
“Yes, never mind,” Gendhis no longer refuses so as not to waste any longer. After all, he did not like to see the disappointed face of Kalini. “I go home first yes, Auntie,” saying goodbye while kissing the back of the hand of Chand's mother with respect.
“Still yes, Gendhis,” Kalini replied by hugging that slender body tightly. I don't know when he'll be able to see Gendhis again.
“Later I phone ya, Auntie,” Gendhis waved and got into Chand's car that was ready on the front page. While in the car to the hospital, Gendhis did not say much. He's not as chatty as he always is.
That made Chand a little curious. “You are now very quiet, yes,” chirps.
Not yet had Gendhis chimed in on Chand's words, Gendhis's cell phone rang aloud. “Halo, my father's call tumben,” said politely when he found out that Hery from the editorial board contacted him.
“Iya, Dhis. After, how else. From before lunch Mr. Manggala could not be contacted. Not as usual like this,” complained Hery.
“Of course Manggala isn't in his study, sir?” Genphis was astonished. He also had trouble calling Manggala.
“Yes, if it is in the room, there is no way I will be this loud,” Hery said. “So his secretary said that Mr. Manggala was out lunch with Sinta and since then he could not be contacted,” continued Hery who immediately made Gendhis gamang.
