"Randy, wait!" Byan tries to stop Randy from moving.
"Ouch!!! Fuck me!" Randy in my heart. He was really disinclined by his ex-sister-in-law. Moreover, Byan was famous for his cold attitude.
"Can I help you, brother?" Randy tried to prepare himself, fearing that Byan would come up with a variety of questions. His voice sounded nervous, holding back his fear.
"Eum, can you ask for some water. Brother thirsty,"
Randy finally breathed a sigh of relief. It turned out that Byan was only asking for water, not asking for anything else that had frightened him.
"Sorry, Brother. Right now it's dry," replied Randy with a careless smile. He continued to walk to the kitchen to get water.
"Kemarau? Really true?" Byan guessed, Randy's words really bother him. He could only shake his head when he saw that Randy had brought back a glass of water for Byan.
"Please drink, brother," pinta Randy stiffly.
"Thank you" Byan did not delay. He immediately sipped the glass of water up to the toilet.
"Is it lacking, brother?" Ask Randy again. He was astonished to see the thirsty Byan.
"No, this is enough. Thanks, Randy."
"Then, excuse me, sister" Randy said goodbye. He went straight to his room on the second floor.
Byan looked at Randy who was now disappearing from his sight up the stairs. I don't know why he can't control his eyes anymore, because he just kept yawning and was hit by a pretty heavy drowsiness. He also chose to lay his body on the sofa in the living room which is clearly not his home.
"Maybe I can close my eyes for a moment" Byan muttered as he waited for Star.
While in the room, Mara, Star and Kamila are chatting together. Star felt that her eyes had started to sleepy. He chose to lay his body on Mara's bed.
"Star, what's wrong?" Mara asked who kept paying attention to Star's behavior.
"Tante," Star answered Mara's question as she continued to yawn.
"Maybe Star is sleepy, just let her sleep, Mara," said Kamila, who understands Star's current behavior.
"Yes, Mom," Mara approached Star, and rubbed her head a few times quietly. It didn't take long, Star finally fell asleep.
"Yes, Lord," Kamila patted her on the forehead a sign that she had remembered something she had forgotten.
"What's up, Mom?" Mara was shocked, not knowing what was going on with her mother.
"Mother must go, Arisan," Kamila said.
"Oh, Mara thinks ..."
"Huh, why can you forget this, everything must have been waiting," Kamila immediately rushed out of Mara's room.
"Let Mara inter, Ma'am," bargained Mara. Maybe with her mother dropping off it won't be too late.
"If you're dropping off Mom, what about Star?"
Mara sighed, she only realized that in her house right now there is a Star.
"Mom will take a taxi" Kamila rushed over.
"How to get ahead, Mom,"
Kamila nodded, and the two of them walked out. But how shocked they were when they reached the living room.
"Yes, Lord," lamented Kamila.
"Kids and dads are the same" said Mara.
Both Mara and Kamila shook their heads when they saw that Byan had fallen asleep on the sofa.
"How is this, Mom? Should I wake her up?" Mara asked her mother for permission.
"No need, just let Byan sleep maybe he was tired," Kamila immediately said goodbye to Mara and went out immediately for fear of being late.
"Oh, well," Mara doesn't talk about Byan anymore. He was afraid it would restore his mother's memory of what happened ten years ago.
However, Mara also does not want if her mother continues to remember the past related to her father. As much as possible Mara tries to avoid and cover up all things related to the past. Because he didn't want his mother back sick.
After Kamila's departure, Mara approached Byan, who was now fast asleep. Because this afternoon the sun was so hot that it could penetrate the window and highlight the face of Byan. Although Mara had closed the curtains, still the sunlight entered through the fentilation gap. Mara covered the sunlight. Mara placed her hand to form a shadow and could cover Byan's face from the glare of the sun.
"Who knows, I can't hate you even if I know you're just making my wounds go deeper" said Mara Lirih. His eyes were unceasingly looking at Byan with a stern face and looked tired even though he was asleep.
"I want us to be okay, but circumstances force me to do something else."
Mara chose to move from her current position. He better go to his room to accompany Star. If he continues to be near Byan, maybe the injuries he is currently experiencing will be more gaping and getting worse.
"Don't go," Byan blocked Mara's wrist instantly.
This made Mara surprised. His heart could no longer be compromised. Thumping, thumping and continuing to pound loudly.
"You avoiding me again?" Byan didn't want to waste the opportunity to talk to Mara this time. He made plans to meet Mara, and the results were enough to make Byan a little relieved.
"Who?" Mara couldn't help her feelings this time. Byan has really caught her wet.
"Mara, I'm just like you. Want us to be okay, even if the circumstances force not."
Hearing Byan's words, Mara's eyes widened. In his heart he kept talking and cursing himself.
"Damn! Did he hear everything I said?" Inner Mara.
Byan smiled looking at Mara's face which started to bring out a tinge of red. It seems like this is a good opportunity for him.
"I don't want to make you hurt any deeper, nor do I want you to hate me because it makes my heart hurt even more, Mara."
"Are you just pretending to sleep??" Mara was upset. He thinks Byan must have been just pretending to sleep to justify it until he could hear all his words just now.
"I never pretend, I'm asleep doesn't mean I can't hear, Mara."
"Depart," Mara doesn't want to serve Byan any longer. He chose to rebel so that his body could escape from Byan's decapitation.
But instead of being separated, Byan even tightened his hold until Mara could not wart. The distance of their faces is now only a few inches away.
"Take me off, Mas!!" Mara tried to rebel.
"I won't let you go, leave it like this, Mara." Byan closed his eyes. Inhaled in the aroma of Mara's body that he missed so much for several days. It seems he doesn't want to let Mara go again.
"Mas, release!!!" Mara raised her voice an octave. It made Byan wake up and open his eyes.
"I love you, Mara" said Byan.
I don't know how many times Byan has expressed that feeling. Mara was still hard-hearted and would not answer or reply to Byan's words. Although he actually knew, Byan said that sincerely.
"But I don't!" Mara said tightly while turning her face to look the other way. Maybe he couldn't bear to look at Byan. Even so, Byan knows that Mara is lying.
"Not wrong anymore!"
"Don't be overconfident, Mum!"
"Why? Am I wrong?" Byan doesn't want Mara to keep being tough on him. He tried to make Mara look at him while talking.
"Don't act like this, Mara. I don't want to if we keep fighting" continued Byan. Then he loosened his hand against Mara.
Not wanting to throw away this good opportunity, Mara immediately broke away from Byan. He woke up and now he is standing.
Likewise with Byan, he woke up and fixed his clothes that were a little messy.
"I hope, you no longer misunderstand, Mas," Mara let out a long sigh. He had to prepare for what he was going to tell Byan.
"I've asked you not to see me anymore, haven't I? Don't force me here just because I want to talk or see me, I don't want to come back if ..."
"If what, Mara?" Byan still set his breathing rhythm. But he really can't wait to hear the continuation of Mara's pending speech.
"Forget about everything we've been through, let's just say nothing ever happened between us, Mom!" Mara actually did not want to say rude, but this was an option for her. Although in fact this choice is very heavy to live.
"You're asking me to forget everything? Is it because of the past that happened between our families?"
Byan never thought, how could he forget Mara. Moreover, all about her, it would only make her remember Mara even more.
Byan had already done this, instead of forgetting that there was everything about Mara even more filling his heart and mind.
"You know that," Mara replied in a soft voice but her breathing was very hunting.
"I only found out a few days ago" replied Byan honestly. The reality is that, he only found out about it a few days ago when he last met Mara.
"Mara, I think there's a misunderstanding going on. I'm not defending my family, nor am I defending you. I want us to both find out the truth" explained Byan. Really he was tired of this, because it made his relationship with Mara who had improved now stretched back.
"Mara, let's fix this. I'm sure there's something we still don't know about what happened ten years ago,"
Mara fell silent, she digested every word of Byan. He admitted, Byan's words had a point. It was Mara's previous goal to find out the real events.
"I'm not ..."
"Mara, please don't refuse! If we find out the truth, I promise to fulfill your wish" said Byan in a heavy voice with eyes that had begun to glaze over.
"My wish??" Mara really did not understand what Byan meant.
"I promise, once everything is clearly revealed I will no longer appear before you!"
To be continue ...
