"Sorry Mas, I have to go" Mara tried to open her car door. But Byan's hand swiftly prevented him by holding Mara's hand.
"Go with me, Mara,"
It felt like Byan was taking Mara as far away from the city as possible, hoping that nothing would bother them. Until one day, they will establish a small family with Star and live happily. That is the dream of Byan that will be realized.
"Mas, are you dreaming?" Mara swung her one hand in front of Byan. He tried to awaken Byan from his daydream.
"I wish it was reality" replied Byan still staring at Mara without blinking.
"Let go of my hand, Mom! I gotta go," Mara tried to pull Byan's handrails.
Slowly, though with a heavy heart, Byan let go of his hand, "Mara, can we talk?"
"Have we not spoken since?" Mara squinted her forehead until it became wrinkled.
"I mean not here" said Byan. He hoped Mara would give him some space to talk elsewhere.
"Why not just here, Mas," Mara looked at Byan who had now put on a pleading face.
"It's important, Mara," replied Byan still with his face.
"What's important?" Mara raised one of her eyebrows upwards, she was a little confused and hesitant. Afraid that Byan would come back to lie to him.
"Later you'll find out, but after we're gone" replied Byan expectantly and reassured Mara.
"Don't try to play me, Mas!" Mara has now started to increase her speech intonation. He was really upset by Byan. When did Byan not act as he wished?
"Can't you see this seriousness on my face, Mara?"
Honestly, Mara can read her face if Byan this time is in serious mode. Not as usual.
"All right, but just for a minute." Mara succumbed, she could not melt the hard rock that was now in front of her. Giving up was the only path he had to take. Because insisting was useless, Byan would definitely not give up just like that. Mara also feels there is something she wants to convey and this is a good opportunity for her.
"Thank you, Mara," Byan was relieved when Mara gave him the opportunity to speak. He takes Mara to his car.
"Where are you going?" Mara asked in surprise when she saw Byan had pointed him to Byan's black metal car.
"Are we not going?"
"With your car?" Mara asked raised her next to the eyebrows back.
"Yes?"
"We'll just talk, not go for a picnic, Mas!" Mara put her foot forward quickly, hoping that Byan would follow her from behind.
"Come on!" Take Mara when she sees Byan just standing there.
"Where are we going, Mara?"
Mara just shook her head, she still set foot towards the cafe which is right across from her cake shop.
When it came first, Mara immediately ordered two cups of warm espresso coffee.
"I took you away, but you treated me" said Byan, smiling in admiration for Mara's attitude. His gaze could not be separated from the face of Mara who was now very close in front of her eyes.
Mara was silent, she did not respond to Byan's words. After the coffee delivered by the cafe waiter, Mara immediately opened her voice and did not want to waste any longer.
"Say what important things do you want to say?"
Byan took a deep breath, then exhaled it slowly. I don't know where he's going to start this important conversation with Mara.
"True to my guess, you're just playing around, Mas!" Bump Mara in a tone full of annoyance, then he immediately sipped coffee to calm his current heart situation.
"Mara, I've told you so many times. I've never played around in my words, let alone played you!" Byan dodged, really he never intended to mess with Mara.
"Then what do you want to say? Don't waste my time, Mum?" Mara is losing patience.
"Mara, answer my question honestly," Byan also did not want to waste his time. She doesn't want Mara to judge her badly anymore.
"If it's really to be answered,"
"Alright, but you have to keep saying it honestly," Seeing Mara who has begun to saturate, Byan would not want to obey Mara's request. At least he can know a little about the things that have been bothering Mara.
"Mara, has anyone been suspicious all this time?"
"Suspicious?"
"I mean, is there anything you suspect. Someone is following you or bothering you?"
Mara was silent for a moment, her mind drifting on one incident. He remembers when there were people he should have suspected lately. The person who sent him Vitamin C, a flower bucket and the last person who helped him when he experienced mugging.
"Mara's? Is there really?" Byan began to rile, from Mara's face he could see if there was someone who had disturbed him.
"No!" Mara's answer is still covering the figure of a mysterious man who he does not know his form. Until now, he had not found the man.
"Mara, I hope you're careful. Because you could be in danger ..."
"There is only one bully" said Mara, cutting off the unfinished Byan talks.
"What's? Who is it, tell me what his features look like and do you know him?"
Mara laughed, even the sound of her laughter can be heard by some visitors at the Cafe. Feeling conscious of her release, Mara immediately covered her mouth with both hands. He tried to neutralize his heart again at this moment.
"Mara, why are you laughing?" Byan was surprised, but he was also happy because after a long time he could see the laughter Mara so coveted by him.
"You didn't even notice?" Mara returned to squinting her smile, an unusual smile. A smile that signified disappointment in him.
"Mara, do I know the person you call the bully?"
"Obviously you know him better than anyone, Mom!" Mara's heart began to fiery, she really wanted to blow up her entire heart right now.
"really? Then tell me who is it? If I knew he had disturbed you, I would have taught him a lesson, "Byan is really impatient, is the bully related to his father? If that's true, then Byan will stop it.
"really?" Mara asked still with her bitter smile.
"Yes, who is he? Say Mara!" This time, I was really impatient.
"You!"
"W-what?"
"You, you're the one, Mas!"
"Mara, why me?" Byan could only shake his head. He felt tek never tease or disturb Mara.
"You're not aware? All this time, you've been bothering me, Mom. You've always confused me and even misplaced me for your attitude and actions!" Mara had already started to blow up her heart at this moment.
"Mara, I ..."
"Today, you're bothering me again! I hope this is the last time, I want after our meeting today you no longer come to see me nor me!" Mara was a little relieved, she was finally able to reveal something that stuck in her heart.
"No! Mara," Byan still can't accept. He didn't even want Mara to forbid to meet him.
"And ..."
Mara breathed out, hoping that something stuck in her heart would soon go and crash.
"And suppose we never met,"
Byan bowed lethargicly, even the person he wanted to fight for no longer wanted to see him. It was really his heart breaking and pain at this moment.
"Mara, don't say that," Byan grabbed Mara's hand that was on the table and grasped it tightly.
"Let go!!" Shouted Mara which made some visitors look towards them.
"Sorry, ma'am, is this guy bothering you?" Ask a security who is now approaching them both.
"She's my wife, we both just had a little fight sorry to bother you!" Byan immediately pulled Mara's hand towards the outside of the Cafe.
"Deliver!!!" Mara flicked her hand. But as ever in his nature, Byan did not just let go of his hand.
"Mara, you can be mad at me. But please don't give me the hardest choice like this!" Byan this time was really begging Mara.
