Perfect Wife Azraell
Chapter 20: Knowing Lies

Dareen leaned her shoulders against the wall beside her. In the not-so-crowded parking area, a pair of irises glued to Aileen who was laughing cheerfully while chasing Lyonne. There was a pink hue on both cheeks of the boy, showing a trace that just a moment ago he was still crying.

"Father Lyon! Don't keep running! Aileen's tired!" The boy complained, but did not lose the smile on his face.

Lyonne who was standing far away from him shook his waist and smiled disdainfully at Aileen. "Ayolah~ Is Aileen really a boy? Just tired already?"

Both of Aileen's cheeks bulged up, before shouting out and returning to chase after Lyonne who was running at light speed. "Oahh!! Aileen's going to catch Lyon's papa!"

All caught in Dareen's sight. A pair of locked beads stared at the constantly moving object, just as his heart was currently moving by emotion. Dareen rubbed his face rough.

No, it's just a momentary emotion, not anger or excitement.

"Forget, Reen. Forget it," she said to herself.

"Mama!" Before Dareen realized it, Aileen had scattered to give Dareen a tight hug. The boy rubbed his face silvery Dareen with a smile as big as a flower.

"Honey," the woman crouched down and examined Aileen. "How did you disappear, baby? Mama's very worried."

Aileen said nothing for a while. Just when Lyonne caught up with him along with Jullian, the boy just opened his mouth to let out a sentence that left everyone who heard him stunned. "When Lian went to buy a balloon for Aileen, there was a cat approaching Aileen."

Aileen had an almost pitiful face. "Mama knows, right? Aileen was very afraid of cats! So, Aileen unconsciously ran away and got lost until the old revival that Aileen did not know."

Dareen rubbed Aileen's cheeks and looked at her with a pair of teary eyes, before pulling Aileen into her arms. "Mommy's kids must be scared, right? Its alright. Now she hugged Aileen."

Aileen nodded her head. "Mn! Aileen loves mama!"

Dareen closed her eyes and whispered softly under Lyonne's deep gaze. "Mama loves Aileen too."

...***...

"Lyon, sorry to bother you." Dareen spoke while slightly bowing, expressing her gratitude and apology for feeling such a hassle to Lyonne.

Lyonne held Dareen's shoulder and shook her head. "Don't say that. As a friend, it is my duty to help you. You know, I've considered Aileen as my son too. So you can count on me. As a friend, and as a father."

"That's why, if you don't mind, Reen." Further.

Dareen immediately shook her head. "Of course not! I just, huh.. I just feel bad for you, Lyon. You must have had a lot of work while you were here."

"Hey, I have a very competent assistant. Don't think of~" proud Lyonne.

"Yes, and this uncle of mine can almost be called unemployed, aunt." Sela Jullian without concern for Lyonne who was looking at her with a pair of glaring eyes.

How could the little boy be so unkempt about keeping his own uncle a secret?

"Jullian, how could you lie like that?!" ask Lyonne.

Jullian naturally ignored Lyonne and continued his words under the gaze of Dareen who thought that what was happening in front of him was funny. "Actually the uncle gave all his work to Bastian's uncle, aunt. Sometimes I wonder why it wasn't Uncle Bas who was Grandpa's son."

"Well! If Papa Lyon is unemployed, who will buy Aileen an ice cream later?!" shocked Aileen.

"Gt!" Dareen's laughter restrained. He immediately apologized, "I'm sorry. I was not intentionally. I really don't mean to laugh at you, Lyon."

"Actually, that's proof enough."

Dareen commented a smile after a light laugh. He looked at Lyonne and said sincerely. "I'm really grateful you're back in Lyon. Thank you very much."

"Of course, Reen." Reveal Lyonne without letting out her smile.

"alright. We go first yes. Looks like this little whiz is already exhausted after crying all day." Lyonne said as she pinched Aileen's nose and pulled her right and left with light force. Meanwhile, Jullian also said goodbye to Dareen who then rubbed his hair for a moment.

"Uhh~ Papa Lyon! Aileen's nose could disappear later~" whined Aileen.

Lyonne chuckles. "Well, papa Lyon go home first ya~"

"See you tomorrow at school." Jullian said his farewell, waving his hand to Aileen.

"See you, papa Lyon! See you tomorrow at Lian's school! Don't forget to play at Aileen's house again next time!" aileen said as she waved her hand.

From a distance, Jullian nodded his head and followed Lyonne into the car before passing after a sound of a pressed car horn.

"Aileen, come on in." Take Dareen to make Aileen nod cheerfully. "Yes, ma!"

On the other hand, Lyonne was still focused on driving until Jullian's voice was heard. "Uncle, Aileen's actually lying."

"Hm? How do you know if Aileen is lying or not?" ask Lyonne.

Jullian replied with a face that remained propped up by one side of his hand. "I'm honestly quite curious. I have no intention of knowing or knowing anything. But apparently, the relationship between aunt Dareen and her husband is a little difficult to explain, yes, uncle?"

"The interactions they do. And then it happened at the zoo. It's hard enough to say, if Aileen doesn't feel that weirdness either." Jullian.

"Don't be so ignorant." Lyonne's words made Jullian tilt his head at her.

"Uncle knows that."

There was a silence that struck for a while before Lyonne lost to his stance. "Talking to a genius child can't end for long."

"I blame Rion's genes."

"Indeed brave uncle?" Lyonne grinned and shook his head. "Of course not."
