Perfect Wife Azraell
Chapter 14: A Letters

"Happy birthday grandma. I love you .."

A warm hug was received by Emily from Dareen. The old woman returned Dareen's embrace with a smile that grew on her lips. Showing more clearly wrinkles under his eyes. Aileen who saw also hugged Emilly.

"Happy birthday grandma! Aileen hopes happy grandma always~" Aileen said with a smile.

"Thank you, Grandma is so happy!" Emilly said as she kissed Aileen's two giggling cheeks.

The atmosphere of the Parvaita family's grand mistress's birthday celebration was filled with excitement and festivity, although it did not invite outsiders and was only celebrated by extended families without inviting other relatives, that was enough to keep the atmosphere warm. Parents get together and talk to each other about their families. Whether it's work to take care of homework.

The young occasionally chimed in, but they often interacted with their younger peers. Joking and talking about the present. Dareen sits between Elson, Sellina and Yusa, Elson's wife.

While the kids were busy enjoying the birthday cake that had been cut off some time ago. They throw laughter and jokes at each other, and even occasionally they chase each other.

Really good atmosphere.

"How's Yusa's job there? Is it going well?" Dareen asked the mixed-blooded beautiful woman out of curiosity.

"Thank God everything's fine. Sister cake shop business already has more than a hundred employees." Yusa.

Dareen commented a smile. Her cousin-in-law has been making cakes since she was young. He set up a cake shop named, Rakiisha which in Japanese means "Isya the Lucky." Isya was the name of their daughter, and Dareen guessed it was possible to pray that their daughter would always be blessed with good luck.

"Oh, what about your own work, Reen? Sometimes I think about how hard it is to work in a company while taking care of a child." Yusa.

Dareen even hid the fact that he was the CEO of Vita Corp from his family. Dareen just didn't want to tell them, and she kept it until now. His family only knew that Dareen worked as an employee at Vita Corp.

Dareen replied, "Luckily everything is fine. I can still split my time for work and take care of Aileen. Although sometimes there's a time when I'm a little tired of working."

Elnos chimed, "Well.. All the work will be there will be a time when we are tired. But somehow, when we see the smile of a loved one, we will always lose that tiredness. Just like me when I see Yusa and Isya smile."

He looked at Yusa and lowered his eyebrows, "Dear one?"

Yusa pinched her waist, "Don't fight."

"But what Brother Elnos said is true. It felt like all my fatigue paid off when I saw Aileen's smile." Dareen could not help but smile at Elnos and Yusa.

"Ekhm! Excuse me, there's an unmarried one here. Please endure this god-level intimacy." Sellina said inviting laughter from the three of them.

"They're getting married soon.." Remember Elnos to his sister.

Sellina pouted, "I'm still in college. Still waiting a few more years until I finish my S3."

"Then you will continue to see our affection. Don't protest, just take the cake there." The word Elnos makes Sellina's face fold.

Amidst their chatter, the voice of someone made them stop the chat instantly. Dareen turned her head and found Roseana standing next to him with a reluctant look. Dareen opened her lips and asked calmly. "What's wrong?"

Roseana squeezed the end of her clothes and asked quietly, "Can we talk for a moment? There's something, you want to say."

Dareen let out her breath. For too long she had avoided serious conversations with her parents. For years he never wanted to talk to his parents. Dareen got up and walked away, without saying a word, but it was not a form of rejection.

Roseana fell silent before raising a weak smile, "Yes. Aunt understood."

After Dareen and Roseana died, Elnos sighed helplessly. Yusa who was beside him rubbed her arms and commented a smile.

"Dareen will be fine soon. She's the most powerful woman I've ever known." Yusa.

Elnos commented smilingly, "He is indeed strong. Only, we sometimes miss his active nature. How he smiled cheerfully and laughed without burden. If only he hadn't left. In any case, his departure, left Dareen devastated."

Sellina interrupts, "So sister. I'm afraid Brother Dareen heard it. Don't talk about this anymore."

"I'll accompany the children to play." He got up and walked away, leaving the two who again sighed.

...***...

"So, what am I supposed to hear?"

Dareen asked Roseana who was in front of him. The young woman leaned against the wall while looking down. Not intending to look at his interlocutor.

Roseana was about to grab Dareen's hand, before stopping when Dareen avoided her. "Mrs .. Mama's sorry, Reen. Mama knows what you did wrong, you've been trying to make up for Reen. Mama please tell me what mom and dad can do to get sorry from you."

"Mama please Reen.."

Dareen raised her face. There was almost no emotion to be read from that calm face. There was only a faint hint of coldness.

"I remember I used to beg like that." He said open his voice.

He then shook his head, and there was a flash of anger and disgust in his eyes, "But you said what I did was in vain. And what I did, was an act of shame! Please remember that."

Roseana's tears decayed, and seeing that, Dareen furrowed her brows. "Please stop making me the bad guy here. It really pisses me off."

Roseana rubbed her tears, though it had no effect as the tear spheres continued to slide on her cheeks. "Mom knows mama's wrong. Mama is sorry. Mama .. Mama found this letter, in your coat pocket."

She immediately shook her head, "Mama didn't read it. Mama found the letter on your shirt a few weeks ago, so I didn't dare read it and I thought it was important."

He took out a piece of envelope paper bearing Dareen's name in front of him. Dareen accepted it and stared at the handwriting with a pair of beads that revealed a million emotions.

In his heart, Dareen felt that the piece of paper was as heavy as carrying ten thousand sacks of rice.

"Then my mom will come back." Roseana said softly, before turning around and leaving Dareen who was still in her room.

His hand shook with the piece of paper. He closed his eyes, and his chest was tight due to all the emotions pressing down on him. He's learned to suppress all his emotions, all his feelings over the years. But just because of this piece of mail, he nearly blew up his entire temper. Dareen thinned her lip line and opened her eyes firmly. Before finally giving up and keeping the letter in his bag.

"I'm not ready to read your letter. It's still too scary for me. You should know that I can be mad at you." He muttered with a voice almost like a whisper.
