The Manhattan Four Zoo
Amid the hustle and bustle of visitors to the zoo, Azraell invited Aileen and Jullian to sit on a long bench in the zoo to rest after a long time around and look at the animals that were there. With a piece of strawberry ice cream in his right hand, Aileen swung her legs happily.
It was adorable in the eyes of everyone who saw it.
"Is Aileen happy?" Azraell idly asked, but seeing Aileen's nodding response like a chicken pecking at rice made her chuckle amusedly.
"Aileen is so happy! The first time Aileen was a zoo animal, with papa Azra!" aileen. He slightly lowered his voice, "Truly papa."
Azrell looked at Aileen. The boy continued to enjoy his ice cream with Jullian beside him doing the same, occasionally observing his surroundings. If you think about it, Azraell doesn't even know who Aileen's father is. Was he someone named Lyon whom Aileen mentioned at the time?
Azraell opened his lips, "Aileen. Who's the birth father—"
"ah! Aileen, look at that!" jullian interrupts Azraell's words. Making Aileen's attention completely diverted to what Jullian had pointed out, even before the six-year-old had heard Azraell's words.
Aileen appears to be following the direction of Jullian's index finger, squinting and scrolling it repeatedly. "What's up, brother? What's up?"
"There's mascots. Let's take a picture together." Invite Jullian to make Aileen's bead sparkle.
He asked, "Can I take a picture with the mascot?"
"Of course I can." Jullian's reply made Aileen screech happily before cheerfully running over to the bear mascot in the zoo's garden.
Jullian stood up, following Aileen after saying something to Azraell. "Aileen had never known who her father was even since she was born. Please, uncle is more guarding his feelings. Just a little, it's okay."
Azrael.
How could Aileen not know who her own biological father was? Is it possible that Dareen did not tell his only son that wayang all this time?
Azraell grabs his phone and appears to be looking for Dareen's contacts to phone him. Until his movement stopped for a moment. This marriage is a contract marriage. Their agreement makes it clear that neither will extract the other party's personal information, nor interfere in the other party's life.
"Well!" Sighing, Azraell lowered her phone back and looked at Aileen.
It would violate the deal they made. But fortunately, she did not escape asking who Aileen's real father was to her. Or, Azraell could not imagine what kind of sad face Aileen had put on.
"Darling!"
Hearing a familiar voice, Azraell turned his head and saw someone approaching him. The woman had a hat and mask covering her face. Coupled with the sunglasses that perched sweetly on her nose, it made her face much harder to spot.
She was wearing a long black coat with a thin t-shirt showing her waist and navel. While his subordinates, he uses half thigh pants made of jeans.
It was difficult for others to recognize him, but Azraell knew clearly who he was.
The man looked around him, making sure that no one he knew was there, before welcoming the lover's embrace. "Darling, how did you get here?"
Eri complains with spoiled. "Can't I come to you? It's nice to go for a walk with your wife and son?"
"I only brought Aileen here because I promised her, baby. Although Dareen understood, but the child was still a child and he knew that Dareen and I were really married. And he needs me as a father figure." Azrell explained.
Despite not showing his expression, Azrael knew that his lover was upset. "You always know, if I just love you. He's just a little kid."
Eri received Azraell's hand and slowly nodded her head. "Well, after all, you'll be separated in two years. After that, promise to marry me soon, Zra!"
Azrael carried Eri's hand for a light sniff. "anything for you. Patience, okay?"
Eri nodded his head. Unaware, that at this time, Jullian who had returned from buying a balloon did not find Aileen in his line of sight.
Aileen's missing!
...***...
In his car that was splitting the road at an above average speed, Dareen was able to hear his heart pounding wildly. His mind wandered over Aileen's state of being rumored to be lost by Jullian some time ago.
"Aileen, I hope you're okay, baby!" muttered Dareen while stepping on the accelerator pedal stronger, until the car drove quickly.
No matter what number the needle of the spedometer pointed, Dareen did not seem to care. All he had in mind right now was to find Aileen. Just to find out that Aileen is fine. But because of her unfocusedness, the 24-year-old woman did not notice that there was a car driving from another direction in the third of the road.
The surprised Dareen had a reflex to slam the steering wheel, but what greeted him was a tree by the side of the road.
BRACKET!
...***...
"Mama.."
The boy was curled up behind the wall. There was no one there, only she hid her tears behind her arms. He could hide it, but the pair of shaky shoulders could not hide how much sadness he was feeling.
For now, Aileen only needed time to cry.
Just briefly.
