PAPER BOATS (Trapped by the Past)
Chapter 20 THE PROMISE OF THE GODS

"Nadia! Gods! Let's eat," exclaimed Susi with her cry.

Nadia who was pretending to be busy opening her textbook, turned her head again towards the God.

"Come," Nadia asked.

Gods nodded. Then stand up and follow Nadia's steps into the dining room.

Actually, before leaving for Nadia's house, the gods had eaten. But if you refuse now, it doesn't taste good.

Moreover, he also still felt groggy because of the incident earlier with Nadia, the Gods could only obey.

At the dinner table there is delicious food. Obviously, it was a restaurant meal.

"Let's God, don't be shy." Susi gives the plate to the God.

"Take. Take it," said Haris, inviting the gods to take it first.

"Yes, Om." The gods also obey.

Nadia was silent. His heart is still unstable. It happened almost the same as when they were on the hill.

The risk is bigger now. Because if it gets caught by her parents, it can run out Nadia.

"Why are you quiet, Nad?" susi asked who saw Nadia still holding her plate.

"ee....It's nothing, Ma. Mama first," replied Nadia.

The god glanced towards Nadia. Nadia took a quick glance at him.

"Less one's no fun, huh?" Susi thinks Nadia's silence because of Surya's absence.

"Yes, Auntie," said the Gods to lie, to cover up their actions earlier.

"By the two of them are nothing. More concerned with learning. Try three, you're just kidding me" said Susi. Not because he doesn't like Surya, but the truth is like that.

But so lacking one, like a loss of energy. Just shut up. So thought Susi.

"Where do you work, God?" ask Haris while eating.

"Dad's just a contract employee, Om. In the company of his friend," replied the Lord.

"Oohs. What is your father's skill?" ask Haris again.

"I don't understand, Om. If it is not wrong in the electrical part," replied the God.

"Sometimes you can also meet Om. In companies that are being pioneered still need many employees. Who knows if your father is interested" said Haris.

Haris knew that the Gods were from an ordinary family. He intended to help only, in case the God parents needed him.

"Yes, Om. I'll tell you later" said the Lord.

"Yes, we also want to know your family. You already know us. It's our turn to know your family." Susi chimed in.

"Yes, Aunt." The god nodded politely.

Nadia's family never differentiated God with Surya. Even though they come from a much different family.

Nadia was enjoying her food with her chest still rumbling. This incident really made him feel like he was losing consciousness.

"What class have you been in?" ask Susi.

Nadia once told me that God has a younger brother.

"New third grade Junior High, Auntie," replied the God.

"Oohs. So you guys graduate with ya? Where do you want to go to college?" ask Susie again.

The gods shook slowly. He wasn't sure his parents could afford him college.

"I don't know yet, Om. My father has a small salary. Not necessarily strong enough to finance my college," replied the Lord.

Nadia heard it. At a time when he and many children his age were planning the future, God even resigned to the circumstances.

"Don't be pessimistic. Just pray, hopefully you can enter the state college. It's cheaper" said Haris.

"Yes, said Nadia you are a pinter at school. Get the rankings right on, Pa." Susi.

"Well, that's good. Later Om help if your value is good," said Haris.

Nadia smiled happily. Even though they will split up. Because Nadia is definitely not likely to enter a state university.

But at a minimum, his relationship with the Gods would go well. Especially if the papa really helps the gods.

"Yes, Om. Thanks in advance." The gods smiled happily.

He doesn't have to worry anymore. Because he believes his values are able to penetrate public universities.

"What if you were alone, Nad? Don't follow your sister out of town, yeah," asked Susi.

Susi Kapok followed the will of her first child. College outside the city makes it feel like losing one child. Because the busyness of his son's college makes them rarely meet.

Nadia smiled thinly. When it comes to choosing a college place, he better leave it to his parents. Let them choose according to their financial ability.

After all, it is impossible for both parents to choose a university.

"Learn dong to be able to like God and Surya. If they can enter a state university, you are alone in private," said Susi gave encouragement to Nadia who is always worth mediocre.

"Udah, Mom. Merekanya aja who do not want to balance the value of Nadia," replied Nadia origin.

Where there are people who want to balance the value of mediocre if it can be more.

"You're a fuss. Does anyone want to have mediocre value?" Susi did not understand this second child.

Rio, his first child, always got the ranking. He also went on a special course without tests.

While Nadia, her value is always mediocre. Though their parenting is the same, eating the same.

Even Nadia since childhood has always been settled in an expensive place. But it still doesn't boost its values.

Nadia laughs. He was never angry or sad if anyone thought he was less intelligent.

Because, this lack is precisely what unites him with his two best friends. God and Surya.

Only one that Nadia was saddening. When they go to college, they will be separated.

Nadia closed her notebook. Then take her to bed.

There are many short stories about his days with the gods.

Nadia fantasizes, if only God accepted her parents' offer. Dewa's father works in his papa company and Dewa is assisted by his tuition fees, surely they are still together.

But unfortunately, the God said to go to him also Surya suddenly. At that time he and Surya were not ready to lose a God, especially him.

When it was just the two of them, God told him that he would come back someday, to account for what he had done to Nadia.

Nadia was still always ringing God's speech at that time. And he was still faithfully waiting for God to keep his promise.

"Nad, believe me, I'll definitely be back here. I'll come get you. I will take responsibility for everything. We'll live happily, Nad. Forever." So said the God before he actually left.

Nadia nodded sadly. He can't do anything either. The decision was already taken by the God's parents.

They moved out of town. God and his brother would not want to have to come.

And Nadia.still remain faithful waiting for the arrival of her arjun fulfill the promise.
