Nindy (Hijabers Norak Conqueror of the Heart)
03. Detaining Hungry

Nindy sighed annoyedly at the sight of the backpack that was previously full of snacks and soft drinks had been exhausted. Not because it had sold, but the grumpy master had seized it without a single mention for him.

Nindy's stomach voice began to rumble with the pain began to feel agonizing. The stomach is caulking, holding the discomfort in his stomach.

He should have made a lot of profit today by selling snacks at the recreation area, but the grumpy master messed things up instead.

Again there was a faint sigh from the lips of the girl. His hand opened his faithful shabby purse accompanying his gloomy days. There are only three tens of Hong Kong dollars left. His lips pursed considering the money he had previously made capital buying snacks and drinks to sell it disappeared.

He tore his body down on a foam mattress that had been shaped no longer. His hands stretched out with eyes staring at the ceiling of his rented room.

Ahh, it hurts so much.

The pain in the stomach returned to torture. He wanted to eat soon, but there was not a single meal he could find. His mouth gulped several times, hoping that the feeling of fullness was approaching his stomach.

Nindy stared at the three tens of dollars that were in her grasp. He could only buy white rice for the next few days using the money. To the side dish, it seemed like he could only imagine it.

At least the pain in the stomach must immediately disappear from his body. However, tonight he had to eat before the discomfort would turn into a more serious illness.

With all her might, Nindy finally got out of her sleep, stepping out of her rented room.

He saw that the rented neighbor was enjoying dinner with his heart. The flour fried chicken that was bitten with some crunchy splinters dropped scattered on the floor made Nindy swallow her saliva again.

They just smiled at Nindy passing by while still eating their dinner.

Damnit damnit! Doesn't anyone offer him food?

With a look of annoyance, Nindy immediately passed from the face of the neighbor who had no feelings.

He continued walking, stepping up a little quickly using the remaining energy. He looked to the right and left. There is usually a traveling food vendor in that narrow rented area. Even though they live in a metropolitan country does not make them a good life with guaranteed facilities.

Being able to sleep with a small space, a small wardrobe that is crammed with a shabby foam mattress is already worth being grateful for.

Ah, he doesn't seem to be able to take it anymore. His legs went wider with a little running. The fast food restaurant is not far from here. Not the famous fast food restaurant, but a home-cooked restaurant with a menu that is almost the same even though it tastes much different.

The texture is more alot with a more brown color, because the store owner does not want to lose by frying back the roosters that do not sell to sell the next day. At least the price is more friendly in the bag and can fill the stomach.

For the taste, it is the second priority. Oh no, not two but ten, or maybe not prioritized at all. Because at this time, Nindy can only afford a fistful of white rice without the crunchy fried chicken side dish that his neighbor enjoyed.

No matter what he held back his craving for good food. Perhaps one day his patience will bear sweet fruit, if God wills.

And for tomorrow, he must ask for leniency to the grumpy master. He could starve to death if it continued like this every day.

Perhaps, Nindy can borrow money or ask for a half salary. Ah, very unlucky fate after meeting the angry master again.

********

Nindy was getting ready with her uniform. He waited for the bus in charge of picking up the employee where he worked willingly. His hands were busy surfing in the virtual world. Looking for a job, of course.

His eyes were turned upside down when the bus he was waiting for was in sight. A lethargic sigh was heard from the lips of the girl. A little lazy he raised his feet to tread on the iron floor.

He chose to sit by the window. Enjoy the view that is not far from the tall building that towers almost all over the trip.

His hand reached into a backpack made of canvas with a color that was much different from the first time when bought first. Looking for a small object that becomes its mainstay when in trouble.

An earpiece patched with tape on the cable has been found tucked between items he carries inside the shabby bag. His smile was attracted by the hand revealing a bit of his hood to slip the earpiece in both ears.

A song plays, melodious singing accompanies Nindy's journey to work. His eyes were clenched to enjoy every tone, melody and voice of his favorite female singer from Indonesia.

Who else if not Rossa.

...I cried...

...Envision...

...How cruel you are to me...

It is not you who are cruel, but the world that has been cruel to him.

Nindy felt the world had treated her unfairly. Somehow, from orok to almost a quarter of a century he lived not far from the word 'deficiency'. Never had he felt the life of well-being, eating well by not thinking about the rations of food for tomorrow. Oh, not for tomorrow, but for tonight he doesn't know whether he can eat or not. Wearing, right?

Already accustomed to experiencing such things, did not make Nindy's determination fade to reach her goals. Nindy has goals?

Of course, everyone must have ideals that have been dreamed of since childhood. Become a great woman, a brilliant career and live an established life. His brain is used to manage his business that has grown and generate a turnover of millions of dollars per month.

Is it really like that? Ah, that's too high for a Nindy. He was aware of his limited brain abilities. She was not a smart girl, only she was always optimistic and excited. So, what are Nindy's goals really?

The ideals are quite simple and not grandiose. He wanted to supply a lot of food in his house. No need to worry about what to eat tomorrow? And of course he does not have to hold his hunger until the morning.

Nindy also has a desire to sleep in a comfortable place. His mattress was thin and shapeless again, making his body feel stiff after finishing his night's sleep. His thin body could not make him comfortable with a bed in such a condition.

Not because it held the burden that was too heavy, but he got the mattress in a condition not much different from the current. Yeah, he got a used mattress from his rented neighbor.

Is there anything else that Nindy wants?

Sure. Not just a lot of food and a comfortable bed. Nindy also aspires to buy several pairs of underwear to wear everyday. Something that is sedeehana, but very important for a woman. I don't know when all that will happen? What is clear for now, Nindy must be complacent with the existing conditions.

What about Nindy's family?

He was one of many children raised in an orphanage. After adulthood he tried his luck wandering in the land of people. Unfortunately, the concrete country's hard life has swayed itself until it ends like this.

Nindy's eyes opened after hearing a voice calling out to her. Lazily he looked at someone who had disturbed his daydream.

A man who might be his age suddenly took a seat next to him.

His hand took off the ear piece attached to both ears. Being appreciative, Nindy returned the man's greeting.

"Hi" she said, smiling kindly. The shifting of his sitting position was more squeezed towards the window, making a distance with the man beside him.

"Do you work at 'The MOG'?" The name stands for The Miracle Ocean Garden.

Oh, yeah. He shouldn't have to answer. Because that question doesn't need an answer. Come on, they're now boarding the employee bus, not taking the public bus. So, all the passengers here have the same status of employees from The Miracle Ocean Garden.

"Well, isn't this an employee bus?"

The man seemed to be scratching the back of his head which suddenly itched. Realized his silly question to the girl beside him.

Trying to divert from the stupid question that had been thrown, the man introduced himself.

"My name is Zang Nan. The marketing division. I think I just saw you. Did you just join?"

He nodded, leaning his head on the back of the chair. Stare straight ahead of the hindered back of the other chair in front of him. "Yes, just joined."

"What's your name?" The man asked, because Nindy never told him his name.

He looked over, looking at his interlocutor at a glance. Pulling her lips thin, she wore a light smile that was almost invisible. "Nindy. Just call me Nindy."

"A pretty name, according to the owner of the name."

Nindy raised her next to her eyebrows. This time, someone said she was beautiful. Strange mentions that are often pinned by people to him make him forget if he is a woman who misses a beautiful call.

"Thank you." That's all Nindy can say. According to him, the term beautiful is not too tempting because it can not make it full.

"What area are you in?" asked Zang Nan to try to familiarize himself.

Samar rang out a sigh from Nindy's lips, "Feeding the seal."

"Oh, must be really fun, right? Can you play with such a funny animal?"

"Yeah, apparently. I'll adjust to the smell."

Closing his mouth, Zang Nan chuckled at Nindy's reply. "You'll get used to it, believe me. Your job isn't too bad."

The bus had already entered the area of 'The Miracle Ocean Garden'. Plastered the writing gallantly contradict two large pillars that look very sturdy.

The bus stopped right in the employee's parking lot. Nindy and all the passengers got off the bus and gathered at the breakfing area. Supervisors do a break-up to the entire team of The MOG as initial preparation before visitors arrive.

They listened carefully to every word of the supervisor. It only lasted for ten minutes the breafing was completed. All disperse regularly, returning to their respective posts to begin carrying out their duties.

Zang Nan greeted Nindy for a moment, and was responded by the girl with a nod while commenting on the smile. The two separated after that.

Nindy put the gloves on both hands to the elbows. Prepare the small fish that he will use to feed the seals as well as other aquatic animals.

Separate the small fish in several containers, which will later be distributed according to their respective portions. His hands were quite deft at doing that after yesterday getting directions from a teammate friend.

His eyes occasionally stole a look outwards. Like the original plan, he would meet the grumpy master to appeal. Turn the unwritten clause into a paper contract with the signatures of both parties.

The punishment Nindy received was completely unreasonable, so the girl was determined to fight for her fate by suing the grumpy master to turn her sentence into a written agreement.

Nindy's smile came up, when her net saw the person she had been waiting for. Without taking off the apron and gloves due to being too crowded, Nindy rushed to run before the grumpy master disappeared from his sight.

His steps widened, trying to catch up with the man who almost reached The MOG office building with a loyal assistant, who walked behind him.

Nindy's glove-clad second spring stretched out in front of Yang Pou Han, stopping the man's footsteps before reaching the entrance of the lobby area.

Lie Am's assistant was flabbergasted, seeing the behavior of an employee who had dared to block his superior's path.

He wanted to pull the girl's arm, but quickly Yang raised one of his hands full of gestures for Lie Am's assistant to let him.

Nodding obediently, Lie Am's assistant retreated backwards, returning to where it had been.

"What do you want?" The glare of sharp eyes was directed towards Nindy, making the girl's originally blazing guts suddenly shrink away for a moment.

"Sa-ya wants to talk to you, sir." Stammered Nindy saying it, dodging Yang's gaze by lowering her face.

"Say!"

Raising his head, looking up, Nindy returned Yang's gaze to him, then changed to look at Lie Am's assistant who was still showing a flat expression.

He gulped, the discussion he wanted to do was a serious matter. How could they talk about anything serious with a standing position in front of the office entrance?

"Can we talk somewhere else?"

"Tell me here, or get rid of your hands!"

Nindy caught her breath, very nervous to see many people watching her. Perhaps all the employees thought he was too imposing guts to oppose a Yang pou Han.

"I want to make a deal with you."

Who glanced at Lie Am's assistant. In an instant, the man stepped towards Nindy and put away the girl so as not to obstruct Yang Pou Han.

Nindy rebel. He violently threw out Lie Am's assistant's arm, but it didn't seem strong enough, until he bit the hand that was blocking his arm.

Regardless, Nindy immediately ran. Pulling Yang Pou Han's arm, made the man turn to him.
