Nindy (Hijabers Norak Conqueror of the Heart)

Nindy (Hijabers Norak Conqueror of the Heart)
12. Misunderstand

They were silent for a while too. Silence was created between them.

Nindy looked up, spreading her gaze over the sky that looked dazzling with the sparkle of stars studded up. The corners of his lips were drawn upwards, forming a sincere smile that then rubbed off on the man beside him.

Long enough the silence happened. Until finally Nindy's voice was heard, breaking the silence. "Look at the star!"

The man looked up, looking for the star Nindy meant.

"The brightest star. You seen her?" added later.

"Nothing special. All stars are the same."

Nindy glanced at Yang Pou Han, then carved a smile there. "Yes, everything looks the same. However, there are times when people only see something that is most striking among others. Like that star."

He followed where Nindy's index finger was pointing. "He is the greatest, and his light is the brightest. Stand alone, but almost grab everyone's attention." The girl continued.

Which turned his attention towards Nindy. The girl still seemed to hold a smile on her lips.

"You're like that star, Yang. No matter where you stand, everyone must be directing their attention to you. Amongst the many people who swarm in, they focus their attention on you instead. Even if you are alone, it does not escape the attention of many people. You're very lucky."

He turned his head, sat face to face with the narrow netra of the man.

"Being the center of attention is not luck. It's all hard work to do."

"Yeah, I know. You must have worked so hard before that you were at this point. But sometimes hard work also requires luck. I'm sure all the success and luck you can't escape your parents' prayers."

Nindy's face looked soft, she looked down. "You're very lucky, aren't you?"

The man nodded then, he hadn't even thought about it before. He felt that everything he could was only due to his own efforts.

"You think so?"

He smiled again, and now it was a little bit wide. "Did you see that star over there?"

Its index point leads to a different place, where there are stars whose rays are the smallest among the others. The star was aloof, only a faint flickering.

"He's the dimest light. He was far from the others, even his whereabouts might not be taken into account. It may also be forgotten or considered non-existent. Whether he shows up or not, no one cares. And that star .. same as me."

He nodded after saying it. Nindy's gaze seemed empty with something invisible encircling her mind. Yang Pou Han could see it all.

"You and I have a lot of differences. Surprisingly we can even sit here together. Can that be said to be my luck?" imbu later.

There was a pity in Yang Pou Han's mind towards Nindy. However, his intelligent mind pointed out the possibility that would happen because of Nindy's words. Until when his mind gave Nindy an approximate signal of intent, he smiled obliquely.

"Don't expect that by praising me your punishment will be reduced, huh?"

Nindy immediately turned her head towards Yang Pou Han, showing a row of her white teeth. "Not working, huh?"

"Good business" said Yang later.

He chuckled, staring at the sky where the expanse of stars was. His hand rubbed his right and left arm wrapped in long clothes with a cross position simultaneously.

"It's night. Come inside! It was very cold outside," Yang Pou Han said after noticing the girl beside him who looked cold.

"Heeem, come in first. I still want to be here."

The man got up from his seat, staring at Nindy who was still faithfully enjoying the night sky. His lips pulled upwards, then said a farewell sentence. "Don't take too long. I don't want you to get sick anymore."

The girl looked at him. "You're worried about me?"

"Perhaps or rather, I'm worried that tomorrow I won't be able to eat breakfast because you're in pain."

Nindy snorted as she rolled her eyes. "yeah. I should have known that. You can't be that good at worrying about me." He nodded then, "I'll be right down. You don't have to worry, Yang."

The man nodded, then turned around to descend from the top of the rooftop. However, when he almost went inside the door, he turned his head for a moment towards Nindy. His lips smiled at a glance and immediately went down the stairs to enter his house.

"Right, I'm that dim star, Yang. Even my existence in this world does not count at all. No one wants and is forgotten. Always alone, no friends even family."

Nindy got up from her seat, stood up. Staring for a moment at the vast sky with a bright smile.

"You're on your own too, right? And you're doing just fine. There is nothing wrong with solitude. The proof is that we are still in this world" Nindy said, looking at the dim star.

He turned around, rushed into the house and closed the door of the rooftop from the inside.

"Can't you cook anything other than bread?" Yang Pou Han seemed annoyed that his menu every day was still the same, toast with jam on it.

"But this is different. Yesterday strawberry jam, then chocolate and always change every day so you won't get bored. Aren't I very smart?" Nindy shamelessly calls everything she does is smart.

He shook his head, "I don't want to know. I want to eat something else. Quick, cook me another one!"

Nindy breathed a heavy sigh. No doubt he also took the toast from Yang Pou Han's table. Go back to the kitchen to make another menu.

"Okey, egg. Maybe I can make a soft omelette."

The girl seemed busy making the perfect omelette. Almost a kilo of eggs he spent, but everything did not work out well. He is terrible at cooking. Luckily, the last egg supply was cooked perfectly.

Soft texture, with bright yellow color. Nindy sprinkled oregano on it.

"Perfect" he said praising his own work.

Confidently he presented the soft omelette in front of Yang Pou Han's table. And the man seemed to be frowning. "You take half an hour just to cook one egg?"

Nindy just grimaced, without wanting to argue with Yang Pou Han. The man didn't need to know if Nindy was spending a stockpile of eggs in the kitchen.

"Your work is really soft, like a snail."

Oh, yesterday's the turtle. Now snails. What else tomorrow?

Nindy could only smile as she lily Yang inwardly.

While waiting for Yang Pou Han to eat, the girl asked him something. "Sir, can I take the employee bus. Master can drop me at the stop."

The man glanced at Nindy, then continued eating. "Can't."

His lips pursed, "Didn't Master not come to my workplace every day? Master will be troubled if you have to take me first."

The man seemed to think. True as well, because Yang Pou Han could not every day come to the tourist attractions because his head office was different directions with "The Miracle Ocean Garden."

"Well, from tomorrow you can take the employee bus." It was finally decided that way.

Nindy smiled then. "Thank you, Yang. Ooops, I mean Mr."

**********

Amidst the attractions of marine mammals with many pairs of watching eyes, Nindy is so busy helping serve visitors who want to feed the seals up close.

Yes, there are such facilities, if visitors want to pay more. Nindy and several other colleagues directed visitors, mostly children, to do the activity safely.

"Nindy!" the sound of someone calling made Nindy immediately turn her head towards him.

Salwa and Sean and her handsome son were in the back area of the show. Nindy took off her rubber gloves, and asked her friend for permission to approach the three men.

"Hi!" the sapa was friendly and was greeted with a smile by Salwa.

The hijab-wearing woman placed her hands on Kinan's shoulders, the baby. "Sorry to trouble you. Kinan wants to feed the seals. Can you help him?"

"of course. I'd be so happy to do it."

Salwa smiled then, handing Kinan over to Nindy. And just when Nindy wanted to hold Kinan's hand, Sean immediately held him back. "So he's fine. You understand!" sean said with a sharp emphasis.

"Ba-ik, sir." Until now, Nindy had always been afraid to go head to head with Sean Paderson. He was still curious how a good and so gentle woman like Salwa could end up marrying a creepy man like Sean Paderson.

Nindy believes, Salwa must have experienced a lot of inner pressure in her household. Hurriedly Nindy shook her head. It was not good if he imagined the household of others.

Rushing he led Kinan to a place where the handsome boy could freely feed the marine mammal.

Almost twenty minutes Kinan and Nindy were together. It seemed that the two could quickly get familiar judging from their interactions. Until the show is over, Nindy escorts Kinan to return to his parents.

"How, Honey. Are you satisfied playing?" salwa asked with a bow, aligning her height with Kinan's height.

A nod from the boy, smiling happily. "Selu, Buna!"

Salwa kissed Kinan's puffed cheek, then rubbed the head of her firstborn. He looked at Nindy. "Thank you, Nindy. Sorry to bother you."

"No, it's my job. Then excuse me," said Nindy saying goodbye to the three people.

"Thank you, Aunty!" kinan shouted loudly while waving her right hand.

Nindy turned her head and nodded, then passed away disappearing from the crowd.

*********

"Nindy, can you take this kid to the complaint room? He lost his parents."

Nindy stared at a crying girl being persuaded by her teammate. They had trouble calming the little boy.

"All right, I'll drop her off."

Nindy leaned over, stroking the little girl's cheek. "Whose name?"

Without a response, the little girl cried even more. Nindy finally invites the girl to go to the complaint room in a crying condition.

"Calm down, Aunty will find your parents" Nindy said, trying to calm down.

Patiently, Nindy finally managed to bring the little girl into the complaint room. Unfortunately, there were no officers there.

Nindy seemed to cluck, the girl's cry grew louder making a deafening noise.

"Please, Aunty will call your parents" Nindy told the girl.

Nindy was trying to find the on button on the object in front of her. A microphone was already in front of him, but he had trouble finding the intended button. There were so many buttons there, and Nindy didn't know how to operate them.

Until a sound of shoes came closer to him. Nindy turned her head, and saw Yang Pou Han coming to her.

The man seemed annoyed by walking closer towards Nindy.

"I've called a few times, but you didn't pick it up. You're getting brave, aren't you?" Yang Pou Han's voice sounded snapping and it made the little girl even more frightened.

Feeling that the man was dangerous for the kind-hearted aunt, the girl desperately pushed Yang Pou Han's body from behind, until the man fell forward and was crushed by Nindy's body.

Right at the same time Nindy held her hand on the table, unexpectedly shifting the button she had been looking for until the microphone was in the "on" position".

Yang Pou Han was surprised to get a push from behind, holding his collapsed body using both palms of his hands. However, the palm did not land in the right place but rather just above the private area of Nindy's body. Instantly the girl rounded her eyes, angry.

"Basic pervert, pervert, shameless". Nindy shouted by pushing Yang Pou Han's body and then beating the man.

"I was unintentional. Anyway it's not at all like it. You don't have to overdo it" I'm saying the guy won't lose.

"What did you say?" Nindy glared for a moment.

"Your body is too thin, it does not contain. You're not attractive in my eyes at all."

Nindy. He landed a punch back on Yang Pou Han's body. "Basic pervert, shameless. Or maybe you're sneaking off to sleep in one bed with me groping my body!" he shouted while still beating the man with his hands.

"What's? You guys ever sleep in bed?" Sean's voice that suddenly sounded distracted the two.

Not only Sean who came, but many people who witnessed the quarrel of the two. Even the visitors came to see and hear the dispute between Nindy and Yang Pou Han.

Their voices were clearly heard by all the visitors of "The Miracle Ocean Garden". And who would have thought that the quarrel actually brought Nindy and Yang Pou Han into a big problem.
