EP 26: DEATH PENALTY

Demitri sees with her own eyes Hannah shooting Martha right in front of her, but Demitri does not pity Martha at all nor try to protect Martha, Demitri focuses on Hannah who falls down and cries.

Hannah's cry was so slicing her heart, Hannah's frustrated screams made Demitri's body tremble to feel the pain so intensely, why did seeing Hannah like that make her not okay?

Demitri dragged herself to get closer, Demitri could not get up because the gunshot wound on her leg caused her to lose quite a lot of blood and energy, Demitri wrapped her blood-filled hand around Hannah, Demitri does not know why he did it but still Demitri does it and cries in silence along with the screams and sobs of Hannah's cries.

Demitri kept hugging Hannah until her arms loosened and before long everything felt dark, Demitri fell unconscious in her tears. For the first time in 15 years, Demitri again felt great sadness, reminding him of old wounds.

In the darkness Demitri remembered one thing that made him even more regretful, his son.

Demitri frowned when she realized she was already in the hospital, Demitri was confused when she saw Ivander sitting on the sofa looking at her with her flat gaze.

“Why can I be here?”

Demitri sees Ivander screeching after hearing his question, Ivander seems so angry at him, but that's not what Demitri deserves right now. Demitri only thinks about Hannah's problem, before Hannah looks very depressed, Demitri fears bad things will happen to her.

“Where's Hannah?”

This time Demitri's question made Ivander even more unhappy, Ivander sharpened his gaze. “Dumb question, why do you still ask him where, it's obvious he's in prison, he's killed your future favorite wife!”

Ivander got up from his sitting position, shaking his waist to look at Demitri who was trying to get up even though the wounds on his legs still made him grimace occasionally. “What do you want? Want to see your future wife? He's dead!”

“Why? are you sad that your favorite wife-to-be died in Hannah's hands instead of your own?” Ivander screeched at Demitri's shocked expression, “At first I thought you were purely in love with your future wife that's why you always ignored Hannah not even caring about your child but it turns out that when I saw your future wife with my own eyes I just realizing that you never loved your future wife, you just wanted to avenge her. But why did you sacrifice Hannah for that?!”

Demitri dodged, he did not accept Ivander's accusation. It is true that Demitri does not love Martha but Demitri never intended to make Hannah as a means of revenge, Demitri also fucked Hannah on the basis of Hannah who seduced her, indeed Demitri had sold Hannah to Giovano but all he did was for Ivander.

“Where are you going?”

Demitri did not turn her head as Ivander tried to stop her from walking out in a staggering step.

“If you're aiming to meet your future wife, she'll be impeached this afternoon, but if it's your goal to see Hannah, maybe this is your last chance because tomorrow he will be put to death.”

How could everything be like this, Demitri had asked Martha's family to solve this problem in a familial manner but Martha's family refused, they all said that Demitri was late, they were not, the trial has been held and Hannah has been given the death penalty.

Demitri condemned his stupidity, why he could not be conscious for 14 days just because of a gunshot wound in the leg. Because of her unconsciousness, Demitri is now unable to do anything, Hannah will be sentenced to death, due to premeditated murder and escape from custody.

“No use, everything is no use!”

Out of nowhere Ivander arrives just to appear, yelling at Demitri who is still busy condemning his stupidity.

“Whatever you do to condemn your mistake, it will never be able to make Hannah free, it's all your fault, it should be you who was put to death instead of her.”
