Sherly still survives in the hospital because she has no compelling reason to escape from there. Dimitri believes Sherly is Quinn's best friend. Because it was a few times Dimitri saw Quinn and Sherly look to have fun.

Xander looked towards Sherly who was looking down in fear. The man walked up to Sherly and grabbed her hand. "Do you know anything?"
