Chapter 50. Being In A Difficult Situation.

The bitter story Bela had experienced a few years ago, made it not that easy to believe what Maik had just said. He was sure that Maik would want to deny that his future wife was carrying his flesh and blood. While Maik who was so shocked by what Bela said, only fell silent with a look of confusion.

"Hmmm, you think that young you can fool me? I'm not the old Bela. Bela who always believes all the false words that come out of your mouth." Bela's words made Maik even more confused.

"What do you mean say that? What am I lying about?" Maik asked as he looked at Bela with a frown.

"Why don't you want to be honest if your future wife is pregnant with your child? Do you think I'll be angry? I'm not who you are now. So why should I be angry?" Said Bela while looking at Maik with a very sharp gaze.

"But everything I said was true. Why should I lie to you?" Maik.

"Maik, Maik.. How could a greedy man like yourself never kiss and fuck a woman? You think I'm stupid?" Bela believed what she saw with her eyes.

"I already know everything. That woman's been your fiancee for two years. And I also know that she's got your flesh blood on her." Add Bela who did not take her eyes off Maik.

"I don't deny that she and I have been engaged for two years. But as for the affairs of the child, I could have sworn that it was not true at all." Said Maik while staring at Bela with a look that was increasingly confused.

"So, why did you buy a pregnancy test kit at the pharmacy that night? Who else would you do if not for your future wife." Bela said as she turned her back to Maik.

Hearing what Bela had just said, made Maik realize why Bela could think like that. But he was also wrong to tell the truth. Clawing her hair, Maik began to speak in her heart.

"God... What am I supposed to say? I can't possibly tell you the truth. Because I promised to keep all of it. But if I don't tell you the truth, Bela will still misunderstand me."

"Why are you silent? Don't even think about fooling me again. I will never be fooled by the words that come out of the mouth of a bastard like you for the umpteenth time." Said Bela and immediately stepped away leaving Maik.

Bela was so very disappointed with the attitude of Maik who always tried to lie to him. Though he himself was ready to accept the reality, if Maik wanted to tell the truth. Because for him then was only the safety of his little daughter. She did not care even though Maik had to marry the woman before his eyes. With anger, Bela immediately chose to return to the hospital using a taxi, which he was riding from the front of the hotel where Maik was staying.

Maik, who was still in the hotel room where he was staying, was silent as he thought about what he should do to save his daughter. Maik who was in a situation went awry, so confused by the problems he was facing. But he also could not stay silent knowing the state of Enjel who was dying, because of a hereditary disease from his family.

"What should I do? There's no way I'm telling you the truth. But I can't stay still when my daughter's dying either." Maik spoke while clawing his own hair.

"Darling, where have you been?" Intan asked his daughter who had just arrived.

"I'm from Ma's friend's house." Bela replied lying and immediately stepped closer to her daughter, who was lying on her back on the RS bed smilingly looking at her.

"Ma, Mama has come..? Where's the gift for me Ma..?" Enjel asked with words that sounded not too clear.

"Mama's coming in a hurry. So Mama didn't buy it. But Mama promised tomorrow she'd buy it." Bela replied while holding back her already blocked tears filled her eyelids.

"Ma, don't cry! I'm not doing anything. Let there be no souvenirs, as long as Mama's here." Said Enjel while removing the tears that had dripped soaked Bela's face.

"Yes dear. Mama won't cry." Bela replied while clutching her daughter's small body.

Seeing the state of Bela who pretended to be strong in front of her daughter, Intan's heart as a mother was sick because she could not bear, watching Bela's suffering that did not end. Her father Ferdi Bela was also there. But even so, Ferdi remained in principle to not want to ask for help Maik's biological father his grandson.

"Bela, if you're tired, let Mama and Papa accompany Enjel here." Intan.

"No need Ma, let me accompany Enjel. Mom and Dad just go home. His son Mas Fikram is also sick at home." Bela replied while looking at her parents.

"Yes Grandma, I'm just like Mama here. I still miss Mama." Connect the Enjel with a very vibrating sound.

"Are you sure you want to accompany Enjel alone?" Ask Ferdi Bela's Papa.

"Yes Pa, let me take care of Enjel. Mama and Papa will be back tomorrow." Answer Bela.

"Yes already, if so Mama and Papa go home first. We'll be here again tomorrow. But if there's anything, you just call Mama and Papa..!" Connected Intan reminded her daughter.

"Yes Ma." Answer Bela.

After both parents had left the Enjel nursery, Bela re-clutched Enjel's body with affection mixed with sadness. He could not bear to see his daughter's condition getting thinner and looking so pale. Moreover, he did not know in what way, he could cure his little daughter, from the disease she was suffering from. With tears returning, Bela began to speak in her heart.

"Darling, forgive Mama who was so helpless. I love you so much and I am afraid of losing you. But Mama doesn't know what to do? I hope you can hold on, until I can find a way to heal you. Whatever Mama's gonna do for your safety."

Which heart of a woman would be strong to see her flesh blood endure pain at such a young age. Especially under such circumstances, there was no figure that Father could call by his daughter. Bela is deeply saddened to see her daughter living without a father, unlike any other child out there. But he also did not want to tell Enjel who his father was, and where he was.
