Chapter 40. A Father's Heart.

Maik who just found out about the whereabouts of Enjel was so very angry, hearing the news of his daughter who had not been known he was seriously ill. With a look filled with anger and disappointment so great, Maik stepped into Bela's room, after the two friends Bela left them.

"Go from here! I don't want to see your look." Ketus Bela who was crying on her bed without glancing at Maik at all.

"I want to see my daughter." Said Maik while looking at Bela with his cold gaze.

"What do you want to see.. Ha..? He does not need your presence. And he doesn't know who you are either." Beka said with a tone that had started to rise.

"I'm his father. And he has a right to know where I am." Maik replied as he stepped closer towards Bela.

"What..? Your dad said? Where have you been all this time..? Where were you when I needed you..? when I almost died giving birth to my daughter? Hix,,hiks, hiks." Bela spoke in a very high tone while crying.

"You easily dumped me, and chose to go with another woman. You fucking jerk.." Add Bela with a voice that gets louder.

"Defenders.. It's already night. Aren't you ashamed of hearing the same?" Said Maik who was right in front of him.

"Just let's. Let everyone here know that the gentleman in my room is a coward. And one more. I'll never let Enjel find out about you." Bela's words made Maik even more angry.

"okay.. If that's what you want, I won't hesitate to take custody of my daughter out of your hands." Maik's words that made Bela directly look at him sharply.

"What..? What did you say? Taking custody of your daughter? You don't deserve to say that in front of me! Where have you been all this time? When my daughter and I need you, you have fun with other women. You dickhead.." Bela spoke in a high tone while shedding tears.

"Don't you want that farewell? Let you be free as you are now." Said Maik with such a sharp look.

"What did you say? I want that farewell? I'm the victim of your selfishness, you son of a bitch.." Bela's answer that made Maik immediately realized, with what had actually happened so far.

"I don't know what to say. The point is I want to see my daughter." Said Maik and immediately stepped away from the room Bela apartment.

With a look full of guilt, Maik drove his car without direction and purpose. Unable to think about all the problems that were going on, he finally chose to return to Endru's apartment. Endru who had not fallen asleep was so surprised by the arrival of Maik who looked so fragile as well as messy.

"I have a very big problem." Answer Maik and immediately sit on the sofa in the front room.

"What are the things that make you like this?" Ask Edru confused.

Endru was very confused to hear Maik's words just now. Because as far as he knows, Maik is a person who is so tough to face every problem in his life.

But Maik's appearance at that time was so fragile and destroyed because of problems that had not been known by Endru.

"What are the real problems you're dealing with?" Ask the confused Endru.

"My daughter is very ill." Answer Maik who made the eyes of Endru immediately widened so shocked.

"Daughter? Since when do you have a daughter? You are not married." Asked Endru with a look of disbelief.

"Actually I was married a few years ago, with the son of my parents' best friend in Indonesia. But somehow, her parents separated her from me while she was pregnant with my daughter. And they told my family that my wife's womb had been removed." Answer Maik which makes Endru even more confused.

"That means you haven't known your daughter's whereabouts?" Ask Endru.

"I just found out tonight when I met her mother at the pharmacy earlier." Maik answered that made Endru look at him sharply. Because his mind was immediately fixed on Bela.

"You mean Bela's best friend Sari?" Ask Endru with a look of finding out.

"Yes. Bela is my wife to this day. But the selfishness of his parents has separated us." Maik replied with a look that looked so messed up.

"Then what about your fiancee?" Ask Endru with a look of finding out.

"I haven't thought about that. Now all I'm thinking about is the state of my daughter who's seriously ill in Indonesia." Answer Maik.

Maik was so confused to be in a state that went awry. The relationship that had been tied to his fiancee, made him so pinched to step up. But he chose to follow his heart as a father, who so missed his dying little daughter.
