My Crazy Client's

My Crazy Client's
CHAPTER 23

Happy reading . . .

New York is a city of a million charms. No wonder so many people want to come and live in this city. But honestly Mira never imagined that she would live in this city. Therefore all sorts of feelings raged in the woman's heart.

When he arrived in New York, George immediately took Mira to his home in the borough of Manhattan, New York city. Mira was so stunned by the luxury of the man's house.

When entering the house, still from the doorway a bespectacled woman stood up to welcome their arrival.

"Good night, Mr. George." the woman had a big smile.

"Good night Jenette." replied George. "Ah, this woman is Mira." The man then introduces Mira to Jenette.

With the same smile the woman again said, "Good night, Miss Mira. It's nice to meet you. Please come in." Although very easily Jenette put on a happy face when welcoming Mira, but in her heart asked. Who exactly is this woman ?

It's been a long time that Mr. George hasn't brought home a woman in this house. Almost three years to be exact. Last time was Christmas 2017. At that time Miss Nicole celebrated Christmas with Mr. George and the woman stayed here. After that there was no news of the woman. And Mr. George also chose to move to his mother's house for one year.

Although Jenette is the butler of the house, she has not known much about her mistress since George moved into her mother's house.

That's not surprising. After returning to this house, George changed a lot. He became a cold, proud and angry man. Very different from his old attitude. Even until now the man became a difficult person to talk to. In addition, his employer rarely went home. Since taking over as CEO of Goldsmith Company, George has been very busy in his work.

Mira smiled faintly at Jenette. "Hello Jenette," she said softly. "It's nice to meet you too."

One advantage of studying at an international university is that you can speak English well. Moreover, Mira is a smart student when she was in college. So communicating with people here is not a difficult thing. Praise be thankful for that.

While inside the house, Mira looked around the room with interest. "Your house is very nice" he said cheerfully without looking at George. It seemed that George Goldsmith's wealth did not need to be displayed because as far as his eyes looked what was seen was a beautiful interior design and expensive furniture. Then his gaze found a beautifully arranged piano in the corner of the living room.

"Can you play the piano?" Tanya Mira was so curious.

"That's none of your business" replied George sniffly."Go get some rest." As usual, the tone of the man's voice sounded commanding.

"Oh, fine." exclaimed Mira briefly with a feeling of disappointment for George's sniffling answer.

"Jenette," call George. "Take this woman into the guest room."

"Okay, sir" exclaimed Jenette straight away.

"Let's go, follow me." continued the woman before walking up the stairs.

Before falling asleep, Mira calms herself down thinking that she must be able to stay in this house, alongside George and she can definitely do her part as a good wife for the man.

Just ignore the man's words when he speaks.

Mira woke up with a tired body and a heavy head the next morning. Actually he's still sleepy. But Jenette's voice was like a bell until she had to wake up even though it was 7 a.m.

"Miss, Mr. George is waiting for you downstairs for breakfast" Jenette said.

"OKs. Give me five minutes to clean up. After that I'll be right down."

"OK, miss. Excuse me."

As she walked into the dining room, Mira was amazed by all that her eyes were looking at. Even the dining room is this luxurious. But Mira was astonished. Why are there only four chairs in the dining room ? There's no way he's skimping, is he ? There should be six seats, Mira thought. Ah, not a day here the instinct like to regulate it has appeared.

As Jenette said, George was already in the dining room and sipping a cup of coffee.

"Hi, good morning." Sapa Mira's.

"Can you stop acting like a fool?" gorgeous George.

"What's? You think I'm stupid? Don't talk too much!" hiss Mira.

"Then stop your behavior like that, you village."

Mira's eyes widened to hear George's words. It was like he was cursing at the man but his common sense was against. Maybe the man's words have a point. His behavior may look lonely. And now he's embarrassed. Goddamn bum!

Mira did not answer George's words but he immediately did what the man said.

***

Again, Mira was stunned when she entered the luxurious house of George's parents. This house is amazingly beautiful, he murmured inwardly. It was not only his house that amazed Mira, but his courtyard as well.

The courtyard of the house is spacious and there is a flower garden located next to the house. Really - really beautiful.

A house like this has only been seen in movies, but in fact now he has been in a house as luxurious as this. Just incredible!

George takes Mira to his mother's house not only to introduce Mira as his future wife but also wants to talk about the marriage and take care of it immediately.

When entering directly, Mira faced a beautiful woman despite her age is not young anymore. Who else if not Lady Grace Goldsmith George's mother. Next to the woman stood a beautiful girl with hazel eyes that were exactly the same as George's. Who else if not his sister.

"Hello lady Goldsmith. Nice to meet you" Mira said quickly before George or Grace spoke. Finally he regretted opening his mouth because now George looked at him with a dislike gaze. Oh God save me!

Mira tried to smile then immediately extended her hand towards Grace.

The woman ignores Mira's outstretched hand but replaces it by immediately hugging Mira with a feeling of joy.

"It's nice to meet you too, baby." Grace smiled broadly. "You know, I've been looking forward to this day for a long time, the day George brought his future wife to meet me. I'm sure George's happy to see you, too, isn't George ?" grace's speech sounded like teasing the two.

It's great! George's expression remained flat. The man seemed to have no feelings, except angry feelings, of course. Different from Mira. The woman's face now turned red like a boiled crab. But deep down he was glad to know that George's family could accept him with open arms.

"Hello, Mira." Greet George's sister. "I'm Gennesa Goldsmith, but you can call me Nessa."

"Hello Nesa, nice to meet you." Mira.

"It's enough base - the base," said George. "I want to talk to you guys. Come sit!"

After everyone sat down, George said. "We're getting married on Friday next week."

A big smile arrived - suddenly adorning Grace's lips. "That's a great plan. I will prepare everything, starting from your wedding dress, who is your escort, the decorations, invitations and the food menu. What else is it?" Grace looked enthusiastic.

"That doesn't need a mom," George said quickly. "You don't have to do anything. Remember that! You're sick now."

"Oh, but..."

"We will only hold a wedding ceremony in this house with only the Mira family and our family attended." continued George. "Mira agreed with this. Don't you, honey?"

"Oh yeah, sure." Unconsciously Mira's laughing tone was rather high. To be honest, he was nervous about being here, especially when it comes to marriage. Maybe you should just say whatever the decision is in this conversation.

"What about the wedding dress?" Nessa Exclamations. Hazel's eyes looked at George with question marks.

Good question, according to Mira. How can a woman get married without wearing a wedding dress.

"You can get her to pick out a dress." tell George to Nessa.

"Of course you can."

"good. While Nessa and Mira are taking care of the wedding, please go to the hospital and do a test so you can get surgery right away" George told his mother.

Mira never thought that George could show his affection in public. His concern for his mother meant that he loved her very much.

Unable to see the worry on George's face, Grace immediately nodded. "All right," said the woman.

"Good! Everything's all right." George closed the conversation.
