CHAPTER 21

Happy reading. . .

    At ten o'clock in the morning Mira, George, Stella and Steve arrive in Manado. Mira is very happy to return to her hometown, especially now she can see a man in his late fifties standing up to welcome her in the arrival area of Sam Ratulangi airport.

    That man is his father. Martin welcomed his daughter with a smile on his lips, with his arms stretched out.

    Mira walked quickly towards her father and immediately hugged the man. Mira doesn't care about her age. In front of her father she can be a sweet and spoiled little princess.

    George cleared his throat and smiled. "Hello Mr. Martin," he said politely. "Meet you, I'm George Goldsmith CEO of the Goldsmith company and your daughter's lover. Nice to meet you." Continue the man with a stiff Indonesian accent.

   "I'm Martin, Mira's father. Nice to meet you too."

"I think enough of his introduction. It's time to go to the hotel." Stella.

　

    Everyone except George stared at Stella clingy but they didn't say anything.

　

"I've rented a car to pick us up." Continues George.

　

    " good. Then, we'll go to the hotel with our car." Stella told George. "And Mira will come with your car. But where's Mark?" Ask the woman to Martin.

　

　

    "I think Mark will be here soon. " Answer Martin.

　

　

    "good. Mama and papa will ride in our car while you're with George." Stella said to Mira again.

　

    "Yes ma," cried Mira with a joyful smile. He thinks he should put on a cheerful face so as not to spoil the joy of his family.

    A white grand livina stopped in front of them, followed by a red pajero sports car behind it.

　

    Stella and Martin get into the grand livina while Steve opens the back door of the car. "Please enter Mr. George and Ms. Mira." Said Steve.

　

　

    George lets Mira in first so he can help the woman. After the woman shifted her body to the end of the chair, George immediately walked in and sat up straight.

　

　

    Steve sat in front, next to the driver. "Follow the white car" Steve told the driver, pointing to the white car in front of them.

　

　

    The driver was confused for a while because maybe he had to think hard before he could understand what Steve said. Understandably, his Indonesian accent sounds more rigid and strange than George.

　

    "Are you tired?" George asked as he turned to Mira and saw the woman close her eyes.

　

Without opening her eyes Mira replied, "No."

　

    George's question astonished Mira. Did he just show his attention?

    Mira was astonished. Strange thought. How can this man quickly change his emotions? Mira still clearly remembered how the man was like a wolf last night who was about to pounce on him, but this morning he was like an angel-hearted man ready to take care of him. Mira also remembered how she had pinched George with all her might. How could that man be so sweet now?

"No need, I'm not tired." Again the woman refused.

　

    George shakes his teeth. "I told you to lean on me. That's not a request but an order so don't argue!" George nodded in a loud voice.

　

　

    The man's words again made Mira realize that it was a mistake to refute every word that came out of her mouth. So without saying anything else Mira immediately leaned her head against George's shoulder.

　

    But he could not stop thinking about the man's changing emotions - change them quickly. Judging from his changing attitude, it was natural that Mira had a feeling that George Goldsmith had a disease like a psychiatric disorder.

　

    The woman then decided that she had to figure it all out before the engagement. Steve probably knows all about this boss of his. So he planned to meet Steve and asked.

    Upon their arrival at the hotel, Martin asks for time to talk to George. And the man agreed. Stella also took part in the conversation. This is Stella. He would hate it if he was not involved in their family affairs.

　

    George took Martin and Stella to the room he had been in. The room was the right place for them to talk seriously.

"Three days" said George.

　

    "What?" Martin looked surprised. "Three days of dating and you've got my son married?" Martin's mouth still gaped in disbelief, inexhaustible with all this. "Don't don't you guys already do that." He said suspiciously.

    Martin almost fainted hearing George's honesty. If he had heart disease maybe today was the day of his death. How not? george's confession quickly made Martin tense and paled.

　

　

    Different from Stella. I don't know why he wasn't surprised by the man's confession.

　

    Stella suspects them when she finds George staying at Mira's apartment. But in order to prevent any bad possibilities, Stella proposes that George marry her daughter as soon as possible. That's why he had George marry Mira next week.

    Martin rubbed his hands over his thighs. "Alright, I think we should go now and get ready. You should also get ready soon. Then excuse us." Said Martin.

    Mira had been in the other room and while walking back and forth thinking about where Steve was now. This was his chance to find the man because his father and mother were talking to George.Suddenly someone pressed the bell on the door. Mira's pacing activity stopped and she walked to the door and opened it.

　

　

    Mira is happy because she does not have to bother looking for where the man is because she herself came to Mira along with a woman who according to Mira the woman is a facial fairy. The woman brought her makeup kit and some pockets that contained a dress - a dress.

　

    "Excuse me Miss, introduce this Rike. He'll help you get ready - ready." Said Steve.

　

    The woman smiled kindly looking at Mira. "Hello baby, let me help you." Rike.

    Although only a mild stage, Mira still shuddered when imagining George really has a psychiatric disorder.

　

    Looking at the woman's horrified face, Steve immediately said again. "You don't have to be afraid, miss. Mr. George's illness is completely cured. I'm hoping you won't change your decision to marry Mr. George." Steve's voice sounded uneasy.

　

    "Don't worry, Steve. That's not gonna happen. Just so you know I'm not a coward who can easily break a promise just because of a small problem." Mira tries to calm down.

"But you haven't answered how George got the disease?"

    Mira felt herself stunned at Steve's words. "alright. I could love him, or maybe I already did. But his feelings for me still have to be fought for. So you have to help me."

　

Steve was friendly. "Of course, miss. Now you just have to listen to the words, Mr. George said without arguing that he was not angry. And you should also pay more attention to her so that Mr. George can open his heart to love and to you."
