My Crazy Client's

My Crazy Client's
CHAPTER 16

Happy reading . . .

When Mira walks into the room, she wishes George had left. The man can come alone to his apartment, so he can also go home by himself.

Being close to George Goldsmith made Mira's heart churn. To be honest, he has had feelings for George ever since the man pointed to his sense of responsibility. Mira's feelings further develop after George saved her pride from a quarrel between her, Dion and Sintia some time ago. But Mira's high sense of prestige led her to refute that feeling.

Now Mira realizes that keeping a distance from George is actually not a good thing because her attempts to distance herself from him are exacerbating her situation. He regretted. Regretful for rejecting George's offer at that time.

While changing out of her work clothes with more casual clothes, Mira asked her heart if she should agree to the marriage contract ? Mira breathes in frustration. This is all his fault.

After she finished getting dressed, Mira took the contract she had put on the bed. Then he read it carefully.

That is how it sounds in the contract.

Throughout her life, Mira always knew what to do or rather she knew what to make decisions. Although the decision he took was not always right, but there was always confidence in his heart when deciding something. Different from now. He was confused and helpless because he did not have that belief at all.

Mira can't let her family into trouble because of the carelessness she's done. But he also felt it was very hard to agree to the contract. Mira doesn't want to enter into such a fake marriage like a blind and stupid person.

It's true George said, he's not gonna lose. However, if he signs the contract then he has indirectly deceived his family, the George family and God. Oh, he's a sinner, but this is really - really hard for him.

Mira looked at the contract again, but focused more on the 'BAN' section of the last sentence. Now Mira is convinced that George does not want a serious relationship with love, passion and sweat. George's desire to marry her was only because he felt obliged to be added to his mother's insistence. But one question whirled around in Mira's brain. Why is he like that ? Finally Mira assumed, must have happened something that was not good to him in the past. And he has to find out.

Mira felt she needed advice. Stella's mother was a mature and wise man. Surely his mother can help him, give advice and advice. Even so, it was highly unlikely for him to contact his mother and tell her about this matter, unless he had gone mad.

Then Mira thought about contacting Lisa her best friend. But his intentions were back up. His common sense rebukes that this matter should only be known to him and George.

Long enough for Mira to struggle with the written document.

After thinking for almost thirty minutes, Mira finally decides to sign the contract and is quietly determined to make George Goldsmith fall in love with her. That's the only way this damn contract can be canceled and then they'll live like a normal couple.

Mira does not expect George Goldsmith will fall in love with her in a short time. But at least he was determined. Mira is not a person who gives up easily. So she decided she would do anything to make George open her heart to Mira. He will fight hard to win George Goldsmith's heart even though he knows loving the man demands great sacrifice.

Taking a deep breath, Mira opened her bedside drawer and kept the document. "After this, my life and my heart will be different. But I believe I can change my destiny for the better. Gotta." Mira said to herself optimistically.

***

As he walked into Mira's room, George found the door locked, and he called out, "Mira?"

Inside the room MIra was so shocked to hear the baritone's voice. "God! She hasn't left yet? Just a minute." Mira called out.

As he stepped out of the room, George saw Mira wearing a velvet T-shirt and shorts. George wonder. The woman's appearance was very simple yet did not diminish her beautiful aura.

After Mira stood in front of the door of her room, the distance between her and George was only a few inches until Mira could inhale the scent of the man. George's masculine scent made Mira's stomach churn.

"You haven't left yet?" Mira managed to let out her voice in the middle of her struggle against the attraction of the man.

"Not yet." replied George briefly.

"Why?" mira asked curiously.

"I'm not leaving because I'm staying here." George answered without hesitation.

"What's? You mean, you're gonna stay here?"

George nodded and his eyes twinkled. "Yes, that's right."

"Why, I'm sure you've agreed to the contract, Miranda Starlin. So there's no harm in me staying here tonight. We need to get to know each other before we get to that wedding" George said firmly.

Mira rolled her eyeballs. He knew it was futile to argue with the man. After all, this man was George Goldsmith.  "It's up to you, but don't expect you to be able to sleep in my room." Mira cried.

"Oh, relax, woman. I can sleep here." George said, pointing at the sofa.

"Good," said Mira ketus.

Mira Apartment is only small, with one room, living room, small kitchen and one bathroom. But the apartment is clean and comfortable to live in.

"I'm hungry, Mira." George said hoarsely, sounding like he was ashamed - ashamed to say so.

Mira's eyes rounded as she looked at George's face. But as soon as possible the sweetest smile on her lips. "I'm hungry too" Mira said with a small laugh.

"I was just shopping," Mira floated her gaze looking for her groceries. "Oh, Jesus!" Mira stared at the groceries and also her briefcase that had fallen on the floor. Buru - he picked it up and attached his groceries in the pantry.

"Wait a minute, I'll cook."

George looked at Mira fixedly. And the man's gaze successfully made Mira's heart pound - pounding.

"Can you cook?" asked George curiously.

"I'm not as happy as the restaurant cooks, '" Mira explained. "But believe me, my cooking tastes good."

George's lips curled up like a smile then stepped closer to the dining table.

Before cooking, Mira takes a hair tie from inside her bag and ties her hair into pigtails.

A few minutes later, Mira's cooking was done. Mira cooks easy-to-make foods like scrambled eggs - arik, aspargus soup and rice.

"Please taste" said Mira when finished arranging the food on the dining table.

Mira glanced at George, and it seemed like she was waiting for Mira to sit down.

Mira pulls the chair in front of George and sits down. Mira assumed that this was the simplest and cheapest meal George Goldsmith had ever eaten in his entire life.

While eating, Mira asked. "Is the food good?"

"Lumayan," replied George flatly.

Mira pouts. How could I make George Goldsmith fall in love with him if cooking alone he wasn't good, Mira thought. All right, the first step that must be done to win the man's heart is to learn to cook. If she had stopped working and lived in New York, she would have taken cooking courses to serve George delicious dishes. That was Mira's original plan. He'll make George happy with his cooking.

"I'm just giving you time to think until tomorrow morning" George said in the same voice.

"Mmmm," replied Mira indifferently.

After the meal, George took the initiative to lift all the dirty dishes on the table and put them in the sink. Mira's stunned. It turns out that George Goldsmith is not a crazy and dangerous man to avoid. But maybe he was a democtratic man.

True what he said. If they were together, slowly - their land would get to know each other more closely. Oh - oh. We do have to get to know each other more closely so that my plan to make you fall in love with me can succeed, Mira muttered in her heart.

Mira's phone rings. He immediately took his phone from his briefcase. "I have to pick up the phone. This is Lisa, Arifin's wife, my boss."

After George responded to Mira's words with a nod, he grabbed his briefcase and walked to the room away from George and picked up his phone call.

"Hello, Lis," said Mira.

"Yes, hello. Where are you, Mir ?"

"In my apartment. What's calling the night - nights like this ?"

"It's okay - what. I'm just a little bored."

"Is your marriage boring ?"

"Ah, not really. I just.., I think it's been a while since we met and I miss you."

"Oh so. But I don't miss you. How is it ?" joke Mira.

"Damn you!" grouse Lisa.

Mira laughs. "Sorry, I was just kidding. Then let's meet."

"Can you just come to my house ? I'm living in Arifin's house."

"Oh, of course you can." Mira thought for a moment. "I'll be there tomorrow afternoon."

"All right, I'll see you tomorrow afternoon. Aaa..." Lisa hung up.

Mira frowned feeling strange. Why did Lisa hang up the phone ? they just spoke.

Mira came out again with a pillow and a blanket for George. On her way out, Mira finds George sitting on the sofa and closes his eyes. Mira walked slowly and put the pillow and blanket she held at the end of the sofa away from George's seat.

After that, Mira returned to the room again, but she did not lock the door of her room. It's not that Mira hopes at midnight that George will get into her room and sleep with her, but that Mira feels the act of locking the door is no longer necessary because the man is harmless.

Before going to bed, Mira took a pen and some of her personal files from the closet and she took the marriage contract she had put in the drawer. Mira then signed the contract without hesitation. Mira is grateful that her faith has returned. That means everything will be fine. He can get through all this and he'll make it.
