Happy reading. . .
Don't jump the expectations too high. That's what George should have done. Not all of his hopes will be realized as he wishes. Especially her expectations towards Miranda Starlin.
The woman is not the type of lazy woman who will easily be deceived by a tempting offer to marry a rich man. He must have confidence in his heart to be in a relationship with a man. But that belief was not found when he was with George. "I'm sorry. I don't think I can marry you, George." repeated Mira.
George's mouth is open. It seemed obvious that the man was so shocked by the words, Mira said. "What??? You refused my offer? Wh why? What reason?" A series of questions slid easily from George's mouth.
George did not believe what he had just heard. He wondered and asked in his heart what this woman did not know who he was so he refused his offer.
George Goldsmith is a play boy.Β He likes to change women without guaranteeing a clear relationship to them. He just used and tasted as much as he could and then just dumped them. But of course he still provides appropriate compensation so that no problems will arise in the future.
Although his nature is so, it does not mean he is an irresponsible man. He is clearly a very responsible man. Therefore he has thought of the best solution for him and the woman, namely by offering marriage.
Mira sat leaning against the chair and placed her hands on her lap, trying to keep her calm. "Please assume what we were doing at the time was just an overnight date" Mira said flatly and firmly.
George stared at Mira. "Are you crazy? How could you possibly say that while there is a possibility that from the results of our actions there will be a baby in your stomach." - George, obviously, he did not like the woman's answer.
Mira's speechless. The man's words cast doubt on the decision he had made.
"You! Don't you feel sorry for yourself, even that baby if you're pregnant?" attack George again so he can resuscitate Mira.
Mira seemed to frown, thinking about what George said. Then he said, "That's still not certain. Please don't overdo it. Don't ever show your responsibility for something uncertain."
Mira could see George clenching his hands holding back emotions. And he started to get nervous about it.
"I'm sorry" Mira said again.
"I'm sure there must be another reason why you rejected my offer." asked George, this time his voice was lower but implied a deep curiosity from his tone.
Mira smiled blandly. "You're right, George." replied Mira. "I honestly have my own dreams about marriage. I want to marry the person I love and who loves me. And unfortunately our relationship is not like that."
A hysterical little laugh came out of George's mouth. "Don't joke! Love is nonsense!" said the man underestimated Mira's words just now. "Love doesn't exist at all. Don't you know ? Your ex-lover, if he really loves you, he'll definitely get you married instead of cheating on you."
"Don't associate Dion with this problem" Mira said firmly.
Β "Why not ? Of course he has something to do with it. How long have you been dating?" ask George.
"Six years." answered Mira briefly.
George pulled the corner of his lips until it curved into a mocking smile. "You guys have been dating for a long time but he hasn't asked you to get married. Are you sure he really loves you?"
The feeling of worry jolts Mira's heart. It seems that Mira loves Dion, even with a sincere heart. But the man's feelings towards her are still questionable. George's words may be true. Dion doesn't really love him.
Even so, Mira still believes that love exists. Mira is sure that even though the love she dreamed of was not found in Dion, but surely the love is in others that God will someday meet with her.
George looked at Mira. There was a clear worry emanating from the look on the woman's face.
"Ah, I think I've been tricked by that guy. You idiot!" peeking George. "Conscious Miranda Starlin. Think of everything carefully. That love doesn't exist! Forget the idea of marrying the person you love and who loves you. Forget your silly dream and just accept my offer."
George's upset. "Did you just laugh at me?" The man looked at Mira with eyes that were able to make the woman's hair stand up.
Mira returned George's gaze boldly. "You're wrong! Love exists, it's just that I haven't found it yet" Mira assures.
Mira flicked her hair back. "I actually feel sorry for you" Mira said insinuatingly. "I'm sure you've never felt love. I'm sure you never loved and never loved. That's why you're like this. Forcing is not persuading!"
George freezes. Goddamn bum! George was unable to reply to the words Mira said. For the first time he lost an argument with a woman.
Mira was surprised to realize George's seemingly blank expression after hearing the words. Holy hooch! What did I say was too much, huh? inner Mira.
Guilt spread in Mira's body, but she hurriedly brushed her aside.
George's mouth moved slightly. But as if not finding the right words, the man closed his mouth again.
"I think our conversation is over." When there was no response from George, Mira said again, "Then goodbye."
Mira tried to say it in an excited voice but instead made it sound like she was unwilling.
It's over. It's all over, Mira murmured inwardly.
Goodby.
Mira leaves George with heavy steps. But he had to leave before he cried. Bizarrely. Why does he want to cry?
After hailing a taxi, Mira immediately headed to the workshop to pick up her car. The clock is two o'clock and thirty minutes. With the traffic jam of the city of Jakarta he should have rushed over from an hour and a half ago. But because of everything that happened just now, Mira's plans today are a little messy.
For a few seconds George remained motionless in his seat. How could he say that? thought George. Of course I've loved and been loved. But then George hesitated. Is it true that he was ever loved?
***
George went straight back to the hotel and immediately told Steve to do his plan for the woman.
After Steve passed to pass his orders, a sly smile rose on the man's face as he thought of his plan towards Mira. George's face appeared to show no sign of sanity anymore.
All his life, George always got his wish. In any case, he doesn't care. The most important thing was that he managed to get his wish. And while sitting on the sofa and smiling cunningly, George hissed, "You'll regret having turned down my offer while I'm still being kind to you."
