My Crazy Client's

My Crazy Client's
CHAPTER 17

Happy reading . . .

The next day, Mira woke up early - early in the morning. Not without reason he did. Mira plans to show George that she is a diligent and caring woman. So after waking up, as soon as possible he went to the kitchen and made breakfast.

Mira believes that eating together will give her the opportunity to get to know the person and temperament of George Goldsmith.

During her time with the man, Mira never saw George smiling gently. That made him curious. George always showed a cynical smile, a mocking smile, a bland smile and a sly smile. Of all these, there is nothing good to admire.

Before cooking, Mira searched - find recipes and how to make dishes suitable for breakfast on the internet. However, everything is useless because it does not have complete materials. In the end Mira just made toast and scrambled eggs again, then brewed a cup of tea for herself and a cup of coffee for George.

After all, Mira wakes up George, who is still asleep on the sofa in her living room. Suddenly, the man got up and walked to the bathroom.

Just incredible! This morning Mira was treated to a beautiful sight that kept her eyes from blinking for a long time. George was wearing only a shirt and boxer pants, making him look sexy.

Her appearance is really tempting.

As George sat on the chair at the dinner table, Mira immediately put a clean napkin on George's chest. The man was spontaneously startled and looked at Mira with a strange look.

"I keep some napkins in the closet, but I rarely use them. Maybe now is the time to use this" Mira said after realizing George's gaze was like asking - asking why he put the napkin.

Then Mira gave a spoon, fork and plate containing scrambled eggs on toast in front of the man, then placed a cup of coffee next to the plate.

"I've seasoned the eggs, but if you think it's lacking, you can add it yourself. It's salt and it's pepper" Mira said, pointing to two small containers that she had placed in the middle of the table.

Just as George was about to taste the food, Mira held the man's hand.

"Wait first. We'd better pray before we eat." take Mira.

Mira folded her hands and offered a prayer, while George just lowered his head.

"Now, you can eat" Mira said after she finished praying.

George immediately tasted the toast and egg. "It feels pretty good" said George after he finished chewing.

The man's answer this time was enough to make Mira happy. But of course Mira was not satisfied. She has to work harder to cook well.

While enjoying the food, George asked with a serious face. "How'd you decide? You've thought about it, haven't you?"

"Yes," Mira said as she took a deep breath, trying to stay calm. "I've decided, I'll marry you."

"Good, that means you signed that contract, right? Give me the contract along with your personal documents so I can take care of our marriage immediately." The voice of the man reigned.

Mira took a sip of her tea and replied, "I've prepared it."

After finishing breakfast, George took the plates and cups of Mira and immediately cleaned them. While Mira takes her contract and personal files in the room.

Mira handed everything to George then went straight back to the room to pick up the kimono towel and immediately darted into the bathroom.

George sat down again in the chair and took his cell phone and called Steve, told the man to pick them up and told the man to take care of all the necessities for their wedding.

Having not had time to finish his conversation with Steve, George turned to the door because a middle-aged woman had just entered.

"Good morning, dear" said the woman softly still from the doorway.

George immediately stood up and walked over to the woman. "Good morning" replied George clumsily.

The woman stared at George for a few seconds, her mouth open in surprise, then finally she asked, "Who are you?"

George was quite certain that the present situation would be a bad situation, because once he saw the woman's face in close range, George was convinced that the woman was Mira's mother.

George was very confident because he had seen the woman's face from the photos and captions Steve gave while investigating all things about Mira.

Stella looked at George with a glance as she thought. But he didn't seem to recognize the man at all. Or rather not yet.

During this time, Mira always told Stella about all the male friends she knew. But this man before her, it seemed like Mira had never been told.

"Who are you?" ask Stella again.

George cleared his throat. "My name is George Goldsmith." George extended his right hand forward.

Stella seemed hesitant, but then returned to greet George. "What are you doing here?" Stella asked still with a full search.

George's jaw clenched, confused as to what to say.

"Tell me what are you doing here?" stella insisted.

"I stayed here last night." replied George, his voice soft as if in doubt.

"What?" Stella looked at the man sharply, unable to believe what the man had just said.

"Why are you staying here? This is my son's apartment. What's your relationship with him?" The voice of the woman sounded unhappy.

George did not know what to answer, because he himself was confused about what the status of his relationship with Mira was. But George wondered what the woman would do to Mira because now she caught George in her son's apartment, in the morning wearing only a shirt and boxer pants.

The tone of the woman's voice alone was already like a thunderous lightning. Especially if he acts with movement. Mira may soon be battered.

"Say! What's the connection between you and my son?" Impatience coloring Stella's voice.

George was about to open his mouth to answer, but the attention of the two turned toward the creaking bathroom door.

"I'm done taking a shower" Mira said as she rubbed her wet hair with a towel. "Now you can..." Said - he was floating when he saw his mother standing in the doorway along with George.

"Mama... Oh my God, why is my mom here?" Mira's voice vibrated.

Mira's face paled in fear like she had just seen a ghost.

Finish me! mira said in her heart.

"He's George Goldsmith, my future husband ma." said Mira blatantly, hoping his words could save her from her mother's wrath. "He stayed here all night but..." Mira wanted to add her explanation but Stella's screaming voice stopped her.

"What?" Stella's eyes widened to hear Mira's frankness. "What did you say?"

Stella comes forward and hits Mira. He beat Mira's back with the bag he was holding. It seems like anger has taken hold of Stella.

"How can you bring a man to your apartment? Brash kid! Have you turned into a woman is not right? What's in your brain? Aren't you thinking ? How can you do this? And what does it mean to get married?" furious Stella.

Mira screams in pain. "Pardon ma. Let Mira explain." Unknowingly Mira walks away from Stella to avoid the woman's blow.

George's head began to dizzy to see the fight of the two women. Now George knows where Miranda Starlin's bar attitude comes from.

"I beg you to stop beating him" George tried to mediate but he was astonished by the words he had just uttered. Did he really beg?

George looked at Mira with a look of apology for what happened now, of course, because of his actions.

George's chin was raised. "Let's sit down and talk with our heads calm." The baritone's voice was flat and firm.

For a moment Stella considered the man's words, but then she walked towards the sofa and sat there with her arms crossed over her chest.

Stella's expression was still frightening.

Mira looked at George with a grateful look, as if the man had just saved her from death.

Then Mira immediately took a sitting position opposite her mother, while George remained standing between the two women, as if he were a judge.

Mira's head bowed, not daring to look at her mother. He was still motionless, looking like a wet rat.

Mira counts to ten in the heart and then starts the conversation. "I'm sorry Mira ma" Mira said slowly but there was regret in her voice.

Mira feels very guilty for her mother. All this time her mother always taught her about the norm. And for twenty-seven years, before knowing George, Mira's life was regular. He behaved well as his mother taught him. However, after meeting the man, Mira's life turns chaotic and messy.

"It's wrong, ma, but we'll fix it." continued Mira.

"Responsible," George corrected. "We'll take responsibility."

George Goldsmith would not let the opportunity just disappear. He believes now is a good time to tell the woman about her wedding plans with Mira and ask for her blessing.

"We didn't do anything last night, except sleep." George explained. "I'm staying here because I want to get to know your daughter more closely because I'm planning to marry your daughter in the near future."

Stella glanced at Mira. "What's he really saying?"

"Yes, everything is right. She slept on this couch last night, ma." Mira still bowed her head.

Stella looked at the neatly arranged pillows and blankets at the end of the sofa and took a long, relieved breath.

"I think you need to talk to Mira first" George said calmly.

"Yes" said Stella.

"Then, excuse me for a moment. I'll be back here at night." George immediately stepped out.

"Wait!" exciting Stella.

The man's footsteps stopped. George looked at Stella.

"When are you going to marry my daughter?" ask Stella quickly.

"Fastly, madam."

"Then marry her next week."

Mira looked up, her mouth agape in horror. "Haaa?"

George's lips curled into a smile. Mira wasn't sure what smile was on the man's lips

"No problem" said George calmly. "Thank you for that, I will prepare from now on."
