Chapter 4 Glasses
I don't know what was on his mind, Cherry is now in an optics to choose glasses. Johan was waiting for him in the parking lot.
"Huft, do I have to wear glasses? The doctor said my eyes were a little minus, but I could still read at a normal distance." he murmured.
"Miss, glasses also add to your trendy appearance. Try it first, it's the latest model." The optics officer showed me a glasses with a rather large frame model.
Cherry tried it on and looked at herself in the mirror, "I'm like a nerd."
"Miss is beautiful. This model fits the shape of Miss's face."
"Okay, I'll take this one."
"Well thank you Miss, we will pair the appropriate lens with your minus eye. Please wait a minute, Miss can relax at the mini bar" said the optics officer.
Cherry stepped towards the mini bar in the corner of the room. Then Cherry sat back and enjoyed the glass of fruit juice she had ordered. Observed around him, there were some people sitting there, they should also be waiting.
"Cherry?" someone called out doubtfully.
"Sandra!" Cherry was so happy to see her best friend.
"Where have you been?" Sandra hugged him tightly. Since school graduation they have not met. "Your phone number is also not available for contact. I've been to your house many times but never opened the door."
"Let's sit down first. It's a long story."
Cherry looked into Sandra's eyes, confused as to where to tell her.
"My phone was sold to my father without my knowledge. I'm buying a new phone and a new number."
"Are you okay?" ask Sandra worried.
"Of course." Cherry smiled to reassure her friend.
But of course now he's in good shape. He had married a handsome rich man, only there was no love. But this condition was much better than having to live with his father. Her husband gave her a limitless card and let her out with a driver, there was never a shadow in Cherry's mind of living a decent life like this.
"Sandra, are you going to college at S?" asked Cherry to turn her attention, she did not want Sandra to ask more about herself.
"Yes, I've been accepted there. Ah, I'd love it if we could go to college together like we did at school."
"We're going to college together."
Sandra looked at Cherry's smiling face, then she cheered happily, "i'm really happy, Cherry."
"Sandra, you forgot me. Hey, are you Cherry?" ask a man from behind Cherry.
Cherry turned her body and saw the man who was also her schoolmate, Alex.
"Cherry, it's so nice to meet you here" Alex said.
"Hi, Alex. You guys coming together?" ask Cherry.
"Ah, yes." Sandra replied in an awkward tone.
"Sandra, we have to leave immediately. The glasses are done." said Alex while showing the pepper bag that he was about.
"Cherry, I gotta go. We'll meet at the college, right?" look at Sandra expectantly, "there's so much I want to tell you."
"Of course." Cherry replied with a smile despite the slight pain.
"Bye, Cherry .. see you on campus."
Sandra and Alex walked away hand in hand.
"Huft, what am I thinking?" sighed Cherry slowly.
Looks like Sandra and Alex have a special relationship, maybe they're dating. Cherry used to secretly like Alex, only Sandra knew because they were close friends.
"I don't deserve heartache. Alex wasn't who I was, and now I have a husband." Cherry tries to reconcile with herself. He took a deep breath and then slid down, "okay, this is better."
A few minutes later Cherry's glasses were finished and she went home. On the way home in the car a message came in from an unknown number.
[You've bought new glasses? Put it on and send me a picture.]
Cherry squinted her eyes, "so annoying."
Given David's nature, Cherry followed his orders. He took pictures of himself wearing glasses from various directions. Twenty photos were sent.
"Receive my picture" said Cherry giggling in the backseat. Johan who is focusing on driving until curious about the behavior of his boss' wife.
A few minutes later a message came in again.
[Buy some sets of women's work clothes, now.]
Cherry frowned. He didn't know what the clothes were for, but he did.
[Okay.]
"Johan, we'll stop by the mall first" Cherry said.
"Okay, Madam."
Cherry entered a boutique that specialized in selling women's workwear. He was very happy because he was finally able to enter this boutique, before he was afraid to enter because he was horrified by the price on his bandrol, very expensive according to his pocket. But now she feels relaxed, because her husband asked her to buy and Cherry will choose a special dress.
"Can I help you, Miss?" ask the friendly boutique staff.
"I want a work suit."
"What model do you want, miss? Mini-skirt? Pants?"
"I don't know what to wear yet, so I'm going to buy some pieces with different models."
"I'm ready to help Miss."
The officer showed me some of the latest collections of options. Cherry hid her surprise from seeing the incredible price.
"I won't be able to buy it myself." - Inwardly.
A call from an unknown number. Looking at the number, it was David's number. Cherry hasn't saved the number yet.
"Hallo." replied Cherry.
"Where are you?"
"In the mall, buy clothes."
"Hurry along. I want you home before I go home."
The phone's been shut down, and Cherry hasn't even had a chance to answer.
"Huh, sucks. I just got there." grumbled Cherry.
The boutique clerk looked at Cherry suspiciously. He thinks that Cherry has no money, her phone is just an old and cheap model. He thought that Cherry just looked around without buying, even though there were many clothes that he showed.
"So which one would you choose, Miss?" the voice of the officer turned crisp.
"Alright, I want the one you hold everything." replied Cherry origin. He has no time to choose.
"really?" asked the clerk in disbelief as there were four sets of clothes in his hand.
"of course. Please hurry, yeah. I'm in a hurry."
"Good, Miss."
In less than half an hour, Cherry had returned to David's residence. Looking around, he did not find the black sedan car that used to be used by David.
"Thankfully we're not late. Johan, thank you for driving me today."
"This is my duty, Madam" Johan said as he opened the door for her.
Cherry came out while carrying some paper bag.
"I'll help you, Madam."
"No need, I can do it myself."
Not until Cherry entered through the door of the house, David's car has reached the yard.
"You just got home?" david asked, approaching Cherry, who was standing by the door.
"Yes." Yeah."
"Come, in. Your groceries are plenty too" David said as he walked away from Cherry.
Cherry ran small trying to catch up with David, "this is what you asked for."
"Welcome, Sir. Madam, let me bring you." said Mia while walking in a hurry.
"No need, I can take him." replied Cherry.
"Mia, we'll have dinner at home."
"Okay sir, I'll be ready soon."
David headed for the room upstairs, Cherry followed him with a little run because she couldn't match David's wide stride.
"Would you take a shower together?" ask David flat.
Cherry immediately heard the question, "no, thank you."
David held back a smile as he was amused at Cherry's behavior.
"What did you buy?" ask her while removing the tie.
"The glasses and clothes you asked for."
"I want to see you put on his shirt after I shower" David said as he walked into the bathroom.
Cherry twitched her mouth to mimic David's words, "she's such a bitch!"
Cherry began to pull out the contents of her shopping bag. All the clothes he hung on the hanger neatly.
"Have you tried it yet?" david asked as he exited the bathroom with a white towel wrapped around his hip.
Cherry who was not ready with a view of the chest field in front of him immediately lost concentration.
"Why, Cherry? You want me?" ask David to come closer.
"No! I bought some models because I was confused. Where should I try?" ask Cherry to distract.
David looked at the four work suits, "no need to try. You wear this tomorrow." He pointed at a black mini-skirt and suit, combined with a white shirt with a ruffle accent on the neck.
"This isn't too short a skirt? Can I change it with pants?"
"Why did you buy it?"
Cherry felt she couldn't argue with David, "all right. What's the show tomorrow?"
"Prepare to leave at twelve. I'll tell you the address tomorrow. Ask Johan to drive you."
"Yes, I've been everywhere Johan's been driving."
"Go and eat right away. Are you gonna help me put on some clothes?"
"Ah no, I took a shower." Cherry quickly ran to the bathroom and locked the door.
David chuckles at Cherry's behavior. He saw a work suit that his wife will wear tomorrow. He imagined how his wife's body was wrapped in that shirt.
"Tomorrow we play again, dear."
