Chapter 20 Between two choices

David looked at Megan who was asleep. Her face was so similar to Rachel five years ago. Even Megan's long, jet-black hair looked the same as her late wife's.

"Rachel, I miss you." she muttered.

Megan can't sleep because of nightmares. It had been 2 hours that he had accompanied Megan in the room. His grasp did not want him to let go of David's hand. As Megan begins to fall asleep, David slowly lets her go.

There are a few things he has to do in the workspace. So he decided to finish it before going to bed. David was asleep on his desk.

The sunlight through the window woke David from his sleep. He immediately got up from his seat and stepped into the bedroom. He didn't find Cherry in bed.

David knocked on the bathroom door, "Cherry, are you inside?"

"Yes, I'm still in the shower." said Cherry a moment later.

David sat on the edge of the bed. The surface of the bed is so cold, indicating that no one occupied it for a long time.

"Did Cherry wake up so early?" inner David.

Cherry exits the bathroom and hurriedly goes to avoid David. He said there was a lecture this morning.

"Sister David." Megan walked into her room after seeing Cherry come out, "Sister Cherry is gone?"

"It."

"Sister, can you accompany me for a walk today? At first I wanted to ask Cherry for help, but she seems to be busy."

"alright. Let me take a shower first." David went to the bathroom.

Megan looked at David's room, no wedding photos, "I know you're not serious about Cherry. I've put in a lot of effort to make myself as close to my brother as possible. You must be mine."

A little while later David came out of the bathroom and found Megan still in her room, "Megan, wait for me downstairs. We eat together."

"Good, Brother." Megan walked over cheerfully. He knows David likes a submissive girl, so he will obey all of David's will.

David stared at the suit Cherry had prepared before leaving, "Cherry ..." David suddenly smiled happily as he remembered Cherry being jealous.

After breakfast, David had to go to his office to finish some work, later in the afternoon he would just take Megan to the shopping center. But because Megan doesn't want to feel lonely at home, she goes to the office.

David so spoiled her. He lets Megan follow him like a kitten attached to him.

"Klings." A notification went into David's phone.

On the screen of the phone, a payment transaction has been made at the cafe starbuck.

"He was so angry that he didn't want to eat breakfast at home." murmured David with a smile.

"What's up, brother?" asked Megan who was relaxing while playing her phone on David's office couch.

"Nothing."

"When are we out?" ask megan spoiled.

"It's still morning. Shopping mall isn't open yet, Megan."

"Ah, really." Megan keeps making jokes to please David. David was amused by Megan's current presence.

A few hours later they were in a shopping mall. David spoils Megan by obeying what she asks.

"Klings." A notification of purchase transactions at the jewelry store. The store was in a shopping mall that David was currently visiting.

“Cherry is also here.” His inner.

While accompanying Megan to pick an item, David tries to look around her to find Cherry. He hopes to invite Cherry to lunch together here. But he doesn't meet Cherry until Megan takes him somewhere else.

Megan invites him to visit the places he wants and go home when it is almost dark.

When he got home, David was surprised by someone's presence, "mama, when did you arrive?"

"Rachel?" No less surprised, mama David almost dropped the glass in his hand.

"She's Megan, Ma .. Rachel's sister." explains David.

"They are very similar. I thought she was Rachel."

"Hallo, big lady." said Megan.

"Where have you guys been? Let's hurry up for dinner." mama David invited them all to sit in the dining room.

At dinner, David's mother sees Megan being so spoiled for David. David doesn't mind that either. Cherry was just enjoying her dinner.

"Good, Ma. We're going to the study."

David and his mother leave Cherry and Megan still enjoying dessert in the dining room.

"Sister Cherry, we never had a chance to talk." Megan opened the conversation.

"Yes." replied Cherry not interested.

"Last noon I wanted you to accompany me shopping, but apparently Brother Cherry has left early in the morning. So David's brother accompanied me shopping. My hands don't carry enough of those shopping bags."

"really? Usually David would have the store clerk send my groceries home. Because the trunk of our car won't hold all my groceries enough."

Megan furrowed her brows, not expecting Cherry to return her words, "but brother David was really kind. He took his time for me even though he was so busy."

"What do you want?" asked Cherry while looking megan in the eye.

"It turns out Brother Cherry does not like pleasantries. You better get out of this house. I want to take what should be mine."

"Yours? I'm David's legal wife, you're just a guest here."

Megan was so shocked to hear that she had no idea that David had legally married Cherry, "we'll see" Megan said as she left.

Meanwhile in the workspace,

"You haven't told Mama about your marriage. Aren't you serious about Cherry?"

"I haven't had time to go to City M." David tried to reason.

"David, mama wants to hold a grandchild. Mama's old, you're my only son. Mama has chosen a lot of girls for you and you turned them down. Then mama's willing to give you the freedom to choose a woman as your wife, but you're too slow."

"Mrs ..."

"Why is Megan here?"

"He only visited for a moment, Ma." replied David.

"I see you're so considerate of Megan."

"I just feel sorry for him."

"You're legally married to Cherry, and what are you gonna do to Megan?"

"Mayean ..." David could not continue his words.

Mama David let out a long sigh, "David, mama is also a woman. You're gonna hurt one of them. Megan has to leave immediately or divorce Cherry."

"Mama!"

"Cherry is a good girl. Don't hurt her if you don't want her anymore. Quickly solve your problems. Mama doesn't want your dad to hear about this. Or is it your mom who has to finish this?"

"I can finish it."

Then David's mother left him alone in his study.

David thought about what he should do next. "Why is it so complicated? Didn't Cherry never complain about Megan. I like Megan being here, she reminds me of Rachel."

David stepped up from his seat. He went downstairs and saw that the dining table was empty. He walked to Megan's room.

"Megan." call David.

"Come in, brother." Megan was sitting in front of the dresser.

"Megan, pack. I'll take you to the hotel."

"To the hotel?" megan asked in disbelief, "did Megan make a mistake?"

"No."

Megan ran to hug David, "Sister, what's wrong?"

"There's nothing you need to worry about. Tomorrow I'll take you for a walk." David tried to cheer him up.

Megan let go of her embrace, "alright."
