Chapter 25 The Pectoral
As usual, Cherry was sitting in the back seat and Johan was driving in the front.
"Johan, take me to Alexander's hospital" Cherry said.
"Is the lady sick?" Johan looked worried.
"No, there's something I have to do."
"Is there anything I can help you with, ma'am?"
In addition to Mia, Johan is an employee of David who is familiar with Cherry, of course because Johan most often met Cherry because he was the one who drove pick up wherever Cherry went.
Johan saw Cherry's troubled face through the rearview mirror, he knew something had happened because suddenly Cherry disappeared for more than a week and managed to make his master despair because he could not find it, "The lady can give me orders. Madam doesn't have to do it alone."
Cherry seemed to think, "you're David's employee, how can I trust you."
Johan said cautiously, "excuse me for my sassness, Madam. I drove Mr and Ms. Megan to the hospital last night. Does it have anything to do with this?"
"Yes." Yeah."
Johan pulled the car over and stopped.
"Why stop?" ask Cherry.
"I'm sorry for being so presumptuous, ma'am. Doctor Alexander came in this morning, it seems like there is something important to discuss with Mr. David. Shouldn't Madam delay going to the hospital? Madam can go there if in a few days Madam doesn't get anything good."
Cherry tried to digest Johan's words, her words looked so careful. Cherry knows Johan is a trustworthy person and he's not just a driver to David.
"All right, let's go to college." Cherry finally decided to listen to Johan. He wondered why Alexander had come this morning.
"Okay, Madam." Johan drove the car towards the campus.

Alexander has left the Chuay family home. David was getting ready to go to the office this morning. As he passed downstairs, David saw Megan sitting in the dining room. David had no intention of having breakfast this morning, his appetite was gone. He stepped into the dining room.
"Sister David." Megan called out to him happily, her face still looking pale.
"Megan, pack your things. Go home to your parents."
David's words were like lightning in broad daylight, making Megan very surprised.
"But-"
David didn't let Megan argue with him, "i have to go to the office." Then David stepped towards the door.
"Sister!" Megan ran after him, then she fell, "ah!" Megan screamed loudly.
David halted his steps and looked back, "Mia, please Megan and help her pack her things." Then David left.
Mia leaned over and tried to help Megan.
"Go you!" drive Megan.
Mia simply stroked his chest and left Megan alone.
Megan doesn't understand what's going on, why David's attitude turns cold on her. David should have treated her gently, especially after the tragedy of the miscarriage.
Several times Megan tried to call David's phone, but was always denied. Megan wasn't given a chance to speak. The message he sent was none of David's reply.
Megan won't pack her clothes. He waited for David to come back from the office to talk to him. With various considerations he chose to wait for David at home rather than having to meet him at the office. He was sure he could melt David's heart like he had done before.
For Megan today time goes so slow.
"Sister David." welcome Megan when David has returned from the office.
"Sister, what's my fault? Why is sister so evil." Megan sobbed, "my brother has left this world for good, then huhuhu ..." Megan's crying is getting louder.
"Megan, go home to your parents. Live well."
"How can you say that after what David's brother did to me." Megan tried to corner David.
"I know everything, stop Megan." David said it in a flat tone.
Megan was so shocked to hear David say, "what does she know?" inner Megan.
David stepped foot into the house, they were still in the doorway.
"What does Brother mean?" Megan followed David in.
David sat on the couch in the lounge, "sit down."
Megan sat next to David.
"How's college?" ask David suddenly. Actually David never monitor what Megan's doing all this time, he was too busy with his work. All David knows is that he has been sending enough money every month to Megan and her parents.
"Yes, I've graduated, brother." said Megan.
"Billy checked, you've been kicked off campus."
Megan didn't think David would. Because all this time he knew, David was a man who always believed in him. Megan thinks that David is a stupid man who is so obedient because indeed he never questioned what Megan did and all the money sent.
"Son't you been watching me this whole time?"
"Never."
"Then, how kak-" Megan doesn't go on, because that's going to get her cornered.
"It's not what you'd imagine, I work part-time so I can't focus on my college." Megan's still trying to defend herself, "my parents can't work anymore. I can't hang myself forever to Brother." Megan sobbed, "just look now, Brother wants to kick me out."
"Stop, Megan. I don't want to hurt you."
"Hurt me?" Megan can't believe David said that, "Sister Rachel will be disappointed in you. Brother David caused my brother's death." Megan feels cornered, the last way to melt David's heart is to bring up Rachel's death.
"You're outrageous, Megan!" Cherry who had been standing behind the door had heard everything, "it was all an accident, you could have said that."
"Don't interfere!" megan said angrily, "you're nobody!"
"I am David's wife. And you are the destroyer of our household." Until the situation was like this, David never issued words that could hurt Megan, so Cherry happily represented him issued all spicy sentences for Megan.
"What did you say?! You're the cheap lady!" peekit Megan.
"Megan!" David couldn't accept Megan insulting Cherry, "I already knew that you were never pregnant." David pulled out the report that Alexander gave him this morning from his briefcase, then just threw it at the table.
Megan saw the medical papers, she couldn't defend herself anymore, all her lies were exposed, "My brother won't forgive you for hurting me, you set me up." Megan ran to her room. He hoped David would soon come to comfort him as he had, but not this time, David did not appear before him.
Moments later Mia came to Megan's room, "Master David asked me to pack your things. You wait in front."
"out! I can do it myself." cried Megan full of anger. Megan is still inexhaustible, how could David who she thought was stupid and so spoiled her, now be able to drive her away.
Megan packed all her things, even though everything she bought was David's money. He pushed his large suitcase towards the main room. Cherry and David were still sitting there.
"Megan, after all this, we've got nothing to do anymore" David said.
"Sister David, sister." Megan has to fight for her monthly money, how she can live in the future.
"Go, I don't want security to pull you out."
Megan is glued to her place, she really just found out the figure of David who can be so cold and cruel. He dragged his suitcase outside, already dashed his hopes of defending David. Megan regrets her reckless actions, she misjudged David all along.
