Episode 45 of The War Begins

This morning Jillian's attitude was different to Jeffran's, but last night they had just passed the most memorable and happiest night of their marriage. Jillian did not look angry or upset, but Jeffran felt Jillian always ignored and avoided her. Even when Jeffran just touched Jillian's hand, Jillian immediately pulled her hand, as if she did not want Jeffran to touch her.

But strangely, Jillian still prepares Jeffran's work clothes, as well as a special breakfast menu for Jeffran. Though Jeffran had intended not to go to the company, even though this time early in the week, because he wanted to continue his sweet moment with his beloved wife.

After breakfast, Jeffran again sulked at his wife who was handing a briefcase to Jeffran.

"Darling, it feels like I'm really lazy to leave for the company today. After all, today there are no important meetings with business partners or directors. I can work from home, honey." Persuade Jeffran, so that Jillian does not tell him to go to the company.

"You're the CEO, don't set a bad example for your employees, Jeff." The affectionate call that was no longer inherent in Jillian's words, made Jeffran feel surprised.

'I'm sure something's wrong, until my wife acts this weird. But what?' Jeffran asked in his heart.

"Darling, I don't want to just be able to wonder, but am I wrong? I feel like your attitude has changed. Last night we were fine, honey." The questionable highlight of Jeffran is only the quiet reply of Jillian's trousers.

"none.. I just want you to be professional at work. Go quickly, you'll have bad luck." Jillian said as she pushed softly on Jeffran's arm, to walk out of the dining room.

"Darling, I know something's wrong, but I don't know what. Please tell me what's going on, honey? I really can't go to the company, in this uncomfortable state. You're making me worry, honey." Jeffran said as he stared into Jillian's netra, after stopping his new steps in the mansion hall.

Instead of directly answering, Jillian smiled thinly. But Jeffran felt that Jillian's smile was forced.

"There's nothing. Now you better leave immediately, it is not good if you are late to come to the company. Oh yes, later in the day I will go to the Mall. There are some baby things I want to buy. I'll take Jarell with me, along with some baby sitters and bodyguards."

"I'm coming, baby.." Jillian did manage to distract Jeffran from his curiosity, but Jeffran so wanted to accompany his wife shopping for their baby equipment.

"You're going to have a more important job, why would you want to accompany me shopping?" Jillian subtly rejected Jeffran's request, as her heart had still not been fine since the shock she had received.

"Once, go.. You'll be late." Jillian embraces Jeffran's arm and pulls him to the courtyard of the mansion, where Jeffran's sports car is already beautifully parked there.

"Hmm, all right, honey.. I'm leaving, baby.." Jeffran held onto Jillian's arms, about to kiss Jillian's forehead and lips, before getting into her car. But Jillian's reflexes rewinded her body, surprising Jeffran.

"Why Honey?"

"No.. Sorry, I'm just surprised." Jillian's answer did not satisfy Jeffran's curiosity at all, and Jillian was well aware of it.

Cup..

A kiss landed on Jeffran's cheek, pulling the arch at both corners of Jeffran's lips. Jillian did so because she did not want to make Jeffran even more suspicious of his attitude.

'I know you're diverting my suspicions of your strange demeanor, dear. But I won't press you again, even though I'm sure something's wrong. Hopefully I can find the source of the problem soon.' Jeffran said in his heart, then get into his sports car to immediately leave for the company.

Jillian returns to her room, having pumped an ASI for her to store as supplies in Jarell's room. She had intended to breastfeed her son directly, but her baby sitter said that her son had just drank breast milk through a bottle until he finally fell asleep so soundly.

Sitting on the edge of the bed, Jillian opened her phone again and stared at the row of photos and also 2 videos that disturbed her heart and mind.

Some of the photos show Jeffran who was smiling so widely along with a beautiful woman. The description on the photos was also quite disturbing Jillian.

Repeating the good memories of the past.

A happy smile, with someone special.

Jillian's eyes again sorely saw a row of photos with captions that managed to incise a wound in his heart. Especially when he again saw two CCTV footage taken in the corridor of a hotel, where Jeffran was staying.

The first video shows a woman whom Jillian believes is the same woman as the woman who photographed her husband, hitting the bell of one of the hotel rooms. Moments later, Jeffran was seen coming out of the room and his neck was held tightly by the woman.

Jeffran was seen taking off the hand of the woman who was coiled around his neck, but when his hand was released, the woman actually stepped into Jeffran's room.

Turning to the second video, the woman was seen exiting Jeffran's room, 10 hours after he entered the room. Obviously this raises suspicion and various bad things in Jillian's mind. But Jillian refused to ask this of her husband. Jillian was intent on finding out and finding evidence as to whether her husband had betrayed her or not.

At the company, Jeffran could not concentrate on his job so densely. His mind was still stuck on his wife's attitude that felt different. Jeffran's eyes are looking serious at his laptop, but that's not the focus right now.

'I didn't do anything wrong, but why would my wife ignore me and avoid me? He won't even pick up a phone call from me.' Jeffran complained in his heart.

Liam's sudden appearance, shocked Jeffran out of his mind. Liam's expression looked very serious, holding the tablet in his hand.

"Jeff, we lost the tender for the project in Lombok." Liam's rapture looks upset.

"What do you mean?" Jeffran was so surprised, because the project was ready for his company

"The project will be carried out by PT. JRV Indonesia, a subsidiary of Scott Group Company." Liam said while showing the data on his tablet.

"Whataa? How could? They don't even go in the tender." Jeffran kicked the table in anger.

"Yet Jarvis scammed me." Lirih Jeffran, but with great emphasis.

Scott Group Company is a Jarvis family-owned company, and Jarvis is currently its CEO. It's not strange for Jeffran, if some of his projects always compete with Jarvis company. But he did not expect, if Jarvis turned out to use a cunning way to defeat him.

Not yet exhausted his sense of regret, suddenly Jake the head of the bodyguard in charge of guarding Jillian, contacted him.

"Yes Jake, what's wrong?"

"Sorry Boss, Mrs Jillian is currently at the Korean restaurant in Mall X. But there was a man who suddenly joined. After I investigated, it turned out that the man was Jarvis E. Scott, CEO of Scott Group Company." Hearing Jake's words, Jeffran's jaw hardened with a firm fist.

"It looks like you are indeed beating the drums of war with me, Jarvis."
